This paper researches and formulates a topology optimization model in long-reach passive optical network (LRPON).The objective is to minimize the deployment cost with certain physical constraints.A nested genetic algorithm (NGA) is proposed to solve the topology optimization *** NGA consists of two loops,and the outer-loop GA (OLG) is a simple genetic algorithm (SGA) to solve the location problem of splitters,while the inner-loop GA (ILG) is a partheno-genetic algorithm (PGA) to complete the construction of the spanning ***,three scenarios with different network scales are simulated to examine the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.

At present,most of the current traffic classification technology is adopted by the means of offiine classification,unable to realize real-time online classification.A novel approach for network traffic online classification is proposed in this paper.A strategy of converting the C4.5 decision tree data structure to parallel data structure called encoded data structure is *** encoded data structure is very easy for hardware realization,based on FPGA parallel and pipeline *** only needs two clock cycles to complete C4.5 decision tree search process without extra write and read *** results show that the throughput of the classification system can reach to 1 Gbit/s on the NetFPGA2.1.3 platform,and we expect that this design can be expanded to the NetFPGA-10G platform and the throughput can reach to 10Gbit/*** classification accuracy can reach to more than 97% if we choose the appropriate evaluation algorithm and search algorithm to obtain the effective features set.

As a fundamental element in vehicular ad hoc network, broadcast has been frequently used to exchange and disseminate messages among vehicles. In this paper, a multi-hop broadcast algorithm named forwarding acknowledgement based multi-hop broadcast (FAMB) is proposed. In this proposed algorithm, multi-hop is used to overcome the problem of limited communication range and transmit messages far away. A forwarding candidate set based on vehicles position information and a forwarding node selection mechanism are developed to overcome the broadcast storm. Only a unique forwarding node per hop along transmission direction will be assigned to rebroadcast messages to its neighbors. Two short control packets and a unit timeslot are introduced to carry out the forwarding acknowledgement and reduce the per-hop delay. In addition, over time rebroadcasting approaches in the forwarding node selection link are carried out to guarantee the transmission reliability. The simulation results confirm that FAMB mitigates the broadcast storm significantly and it also performs well in the real time and reliability of data transmission.

This paper addresses how to improve the energy efficiency of OFDMA femtocell networks with sleep mode. Firstly, the energy consumption of the sleep mode is analyzed. Considering the requirements of improving the energy efficiency and ensuring the QoS of users, we extend the definition of effective capacity to formulate the tradeoff relationship between the energy efficiency and the waiting delay of users. Then two optimization schemes of sleep mode parameter are proposed: (1) Maximize the energy efficiency with effective capacity constraint; and (2) Maximize the effective capacity with energy efficiency constraint. And the performances are analyzed, including average energy consumption, energy efficiency, effective capacity and waiting time. Simulation results show that the effective capacity-based parameter optimization of sleep mode can achieve a good tradeoff between energy efficiency and QoS of users in OFDMA femtocell networks.

In this paper we present a transmission mode selection scheme in CoMP network combined with semi-smart antennas (SSA) for energy saving. Based on the cell zooming scheme, selected transmission nodes can be switched off or in the sleeping mode without reducing the cell coverage. We introduce the cell zooming into a cellular network combing CoMP with SSA for energy saving. Users should select a proper transmission mode from the traditional single cell transmission mode, the CoMP transmission mode, the single cell transmission with SSA, and the CoMP transmission with SSA. The problem of the optimization on the transmission mode selection for energy efficiency is defined and a sub-optimal solution is obtained by the generic algorithm. The simulation results show that the proposed transmission mode selection scheme in CoMP network combined with semi-smart antennas can achieve the best network energy efficiency. © 2012 IEEE.

In recent years, sinmlated annealing algo-rithms have been extensively developed and uti-lized to solve nmlti-objective optimization problems. In order to obtain better optimization perfonmnce, this paper proposes a Novel Adaptive Simulated Annealing （NASA） algorithm for constrained multi-objective optimization based on Archived Multi-objective Simulated Annealing （AMOSA）. For han-dling multi-objective, NASA makes improverrents in three aspects： sub-iteration search, sub-archive and adaptive search, which effectively strengthen the stability and efficiency of the algorithnm For handling constraints, NASA introduces corresponding solution acceptance criterion. Furtherrrore, NASA has also been applied to optimize TD-LTE network perform-ance by adjusting antenna paranleters; it can achieve better extension and convergence than AMOSA, NS-GAII and MOPSO. Analytical studies and simulations indicate that the proposed NASA algorithm can play an important role in improving multi-objective optimi-zation performance.

An opportunistic feedback scheme is proposed for reducing the uplink control information feedback for the coordinated scheduling/beamforming (CS/CB) mode in the coordinated multiple point (CoMP) systems. CoMP is a promising technology for LTE-Advanced to improve the coverage and the spectral efficiency. However, the total feedback load is substantially heavy and becomes a serious problem for the practical systems. The proposed opportunistic feedback scheme can reduce the feedback load with little user throughput deterioration. In the proposed feedback scheme, in each cooperating cells set, the cells are divided into one primary cell and several assistant cells. Users in the primary cell are fairly determined to feed back according to the normalized signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) threshold. In the assistant cells, users who cause less interference to the primary cell are supposed to feed back. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme reduces the feedback load magnificently, while keeping the performance loss minimal.

In this paper, we consider the problem of secure resource allocation in orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) two-way relay networks. Multiple sources exchange information with the assistance of an amplify-and-forward (AF) relay node in the presence of an eavesdropper. The joint subcarrier allocation, subcarrier pairing and power allocation problem aims to maximize the secrecy capacity for legitimate sources subject to limited power budget and orthogonal subcarrier allocation constraints. The optimization problem is modeled as a mixed integer programming problem, and then solved in an asymptotically optimal manner based on the dual method. Moreover, a suboptimal algorithm is proposed to reduce the complexity. Simulations are conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed near optimal and suboptimal algorithms.

Femtocell is an effective technology to improve the system performance. In this paper, we address the problem of sub-channels allocation in OFDMA two-tier femtocell networks. Our objective is to maximize the rate sum of multiple femtocells with consideration of cross-tier interference between macrocell and multiple femtocells. A resource optimization approach based on Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm is proposed to implement the solution process of system. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithms not only improve the capacity of the femtocell system but also provide good proportional fairness among the femtocell users, as compared with the traditional algorithm.
