This paper is focused on the issue of complexity and low accuracy of downlink (DL) power control in dense heterogeneous network. A novel power control algorithm based on the interference statistic properties that is accurate and results in easy-to-evaluate interference is proposed. Compared to the recent work on DL power control using complex iterations to manege interference, the proposed algorithm differs in two key features. First, the interference statistic model based on the stochastic geometry is exploited to estimate cross-tier interference that follows alpha stable distribution. Second, a centralized power control algorithm with the complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF) of alpha stable distribution is utilized to constrain interference effectively. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can maintain the outage probability of macrocell user (MUE) within a certain range and improve the throughput with less exchange of information.

Quick query in the Big Data is important for mining the valuable information to improve the system performance. To achieve this goal, research institutions and internet companies develop three-type script query tools which are respectively Hive based on MapReduce, Spark SQL based on RDD and Impala based distributed query engine. In this paper, we compare three-type query tools in several ways. First we analyze the impact of the file format for the query time, and we conduct that compression can reduce the amount of data, so as to improve the query time. It is the best choice to take RC File compressed by Snappy for Hive, and it is the best choice to take Parquet for Impala. Further, Impala has the fastest query speed compared with Hive and Spark SQL. Second we discuss that the file format impact on the CPU and memory. Impala taken Parquet costs the least resource of CPU and memory. Impala taken the file format of Parquet show good performance. So we decide to evaluate Impala and Parquet. Then we find Parquet generated by different query tools show different performance. Finally, we find the query speed of Impala taken the file format of Parquet created by Spark SQL is the fastest. Consequently it is more suitable to use Impala for quick query.

Full duplex systems are more spectrally efficient than conventional half duplex systems if the self-interference (SI) can be significantly mitigated. Digital cancellation is one of the lowest complexity SI cancellation techniques in full duplex systems. However, its mitigation capability is mainly limited by the power amplifier (PA) nonlinear distortion. In this paper, to cancel the SI induced by the PA nonlinear distortion, a SI cancellation scheme based on polarization mismatch (PMC) is proposed. The proposed scheme takes advantage of the characteristic that the polarization state of the SI is immune to the PA nonlinearity. And it cancels the SI in the digital baseband by a polarization mismatch matrix which has an orthogonal polarization state to that of the SI. Analysis and numerical results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can cancel the nonlinear SI induced by the PA efficiently. Besides, the desired signal to interfere and noise (SINR) gain will not deteriorate even if the power of the SI is high compared with the existing cancellation scheme. Further, the achievable rate of it can reach more than two times compared with the half duplex when the similarity coefficient of the polarization states is greater than 0.5.

Per-cell codebook based limited feedback technique in the coordinated multi-point transmission (CoMP) system has received more and more attention because of its flexibility and scalability. In practical CoMP systems, quantized channel state information (CSI) is subject to a feedback delay due to signal processing at the receiver, finite bandwidth of feedback links, and finite capacity of backhaul links. In this paper, we study the effect of different codeword selection schemes based on per-cell codebook on data rate in CoMP systems. The impact of CSI feedback delay is considered by using Gauss-Markov temporal correlation channel model. We derive the theoretical upper bounds of data rate for two codeword selection schemes, joint codeword selection (JCS) and independent codeword selection (ICS) respectively. Simulation results show that the practical data rate is close to the theoretical data rate upper bound both for JCS and ICS, which has validated the availability of the theoretical data rate upper bounds.

In this paper, the automatic prediction of micro-blog users' attribute information is modeled as a multi-label classification process considering the relevance and co-occurrence of user attributes instead of single-label or regression, where each user has more than one attribute. Two basic and one improved multi-label classification methods are evaluated and compared in this task. Taking micro-blogging as the background, we conduct a series of experiments, comparison and analysis to prove that the multi-label classification is a very effective method to predict the user profiles considering the relevance and co-occurrence of user attributes. In feature selection stage, we consider a variety of attribute information of users such as user nickname, user tags and user personal description. The results show that a relatively great performance is obtained. Finally, we analyze the user profiling and the user preferred vocabulary in the associated attributes.

Dense small cell networks (SCNs) has emerged as a cost-effective way of supporting a rapid growth of traffic demand. However, a large number of small cell base stations (SBSs) will consume a lot of energy, which is not conductive to improve the SCNs energy efficiency (EE). In this study, a novel small cell grouping based power control scheme is proposed to save energy as well as to maintain the network throughput for dense SCNs. Specifically, small cells are divided into different groups according to both the load and the inter-cell interference levels between the dense small cells, and accordingly the transmission power of the SBSs is reduced based on the proposed utility function. The existence of the optimal solutions to the problem is discussed, then the differential evolution (DE) is applied to obtain the optimal transmission power. system level simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can significantly improve the SCNs EE without sacrifice of the network throughput.

In multiuser MIMO systems, the required feedback rate per user increases linearly with the number of transmit antennas in order to achieve full multiplexing gain. When it comes to massive MIMO, the feedback overhead grows unacceptable. Firstly, this motivates us to explore a novel feedback reduction scheme based on principal component analysis (PCA) for massive MIMO. In the proposed scheme, mobile station (MS) utilizes compression matrix to compress spatially correlated high-dimensional channel state information (CSI) into low-dimensional representation. Then the compressed low-dimensional CSI is fed back to BS instantaneously with reduced feedback overhead and codebook search complexity. The compression matrix is attained by operating PCA on CSI which is estimated over a long-term period by MS. Secondly, Kalman filter is adopted to improve the performance of the above PCA based feedback scheme, when channel estimation is non-ideal. Numerical results and theoretical analysis show that the proposed PCA based feedback scheme can offer a tradeoff between system performance and feedback overhead. Additionally, it is also verified by the simulation that Kalman filter can contribute to the system capacity enhancement in the case of non-ideal channel estimation.

In order to recover high-dimensional CSI at BS, compression matrix is refreshed and fed back from MS to BS every long-term period. Numerical results and feedback overhead analysis show that the proposed PCA based feedback scheme can offer a tradeoff between system performance and feedback overhead.

We consider the MIMO wiretap channel, where a legitimate transmitter (Alice) wishes to communicate a confidential message to the legitimate receiver (Bob) over a MIMO channel, while its messages are being eavesdropped by Eve through another MIMO channel. Supposing that Alice uses the nested lattice code proposed in [8], we characterize the expected value of amount of information leakage to Eve, and from minimizing this expected value, we derive a code design criterion for MIMO lattice wiretap codes. The special cases of block and fast fading channels are also studied. We also illustrate our lattice code design criterion using the Alamouti Code as the simplest MIMO code available in the literature.

The traditional focus of work in test has been innovation and efficiency for high volume manufacturing test. However, in reality, a significant amount of effort is expended on design validation and debug prior to deeming analog and high speed serial IO test stimuli content production worthy. In this presentation we emphasize the importance of widening the post-silicon envelope to include early design validation and debug in addition to manufacturing test. The impact on DFX architecture is considered in which in order to be efficient the architecture has to be scalable across a wider set of post-silicon stages. We also discuss the need for establishing quick correlation between design validation and manufacturing test measurements and the time-to-market savings it brings for analog and IO content designed essentially on a digital process technology.
