Parallelized User Clicks Recognition from Massive HTTP Data Based on Dependency Graph Model

Best Effort Spectrum Allocation Scheme for Femtocell networks in Dense Deployment

In orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA) based femtocell networks,the co-tier interference among femto base stations(FBS) becomes important in multiuser and densely deployed *** order to mitigate the co-tier interference and enhance the system total throughput,this paper proposed a best effort spectrum allocation scheme based on the extension of graph *** the scheme,a controller was proposed to collect the channel state information(CSI)of all femtocell user equipments(FUEs) in a certain ***,the controller evaluated the signal-to-interference Ratio(SIR) of each FUE and determined the set of its interference *** calculating the received power matrix(RPM) among FUEs and building interference graph matrix(IGM),different spectrum resource blocks(RBs) were assigned to the users with interference relation,while users without interference relation shared the same RBs,which could increase the spectrum *** results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly improve the RB usage efficiency compared with the basic graph coloring theory,and more than 80% improvement can be acquired in dense deployment ***,the throughput of both cell edge macro user equipments(MUEs) and cell edge FUEs is guaranteed on the premise of low interference.

This paper studies the opportunistic spectrum access (OSA) of the secondary users in a large-scale overlay cognitive radio (CR) network. Two threshold-based OSA schemes, namely the primary receiver assisted (PRA) protocol and the primary transmitter assisted (PTA) protocol, are investigated. Under the PRA/PTA protocols, a secondary transmitter (ST) is allowed to access the spectrum only when the maximum signal power of the received beacons/pilots sent from the active primary receivers/transmitters (PRs/PTs) is lower than a certain threshold. To measure the resulting transmission opportunity for the secondary users by the proposed OSA protocols, the concept of spatial opportunity, which is defined as the probability that an arbitrary location in the primary network is detected as a spatial spectrum hole, is introduced and then evaluated by applying tools from stochastic geometry. Based on spatial opportunity, the coverage (non-outage transmission) performance in the overlay CR network is analyzed. With the obtained results of spatial opportunity and coverage probability, we finally characterize the spatial throughput, which is defined as the average spatial density of successful transmissions in the primary/secondary network, under the PRA and PTA protocols, respectively. © 1983-2012 IEEE.

In this paper, we present an approach to characterize and model microblog traffic in cellular data network. In contrast to previous methods, our approach is based on the cloud computing platform and the cluster system, including the Hadoop Distributed File system (HDFS) and the parallel processing software framework MapReduce. What's more, we focus on the contrast of Sina and Tencent microblogs. We analyze the features of microblog traffic in four aspects of increasing details, which are (i) traffic diurnal pattern, (ii) modeling the traffic distribution, (iii) user distribution, (iv) diversity usage of microblogs. This approach of analyzing microblog traffic comprehensively is probably the most important contribution of this paper. Furthermore, our approach has two important features. First, the massive mobile subscriber data we used in our experiments was collected from a commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP) covering an entire province in Southern China. Therefore, it ensures the results indicate the true characteristics of microblog traffic in network. Second, we investigate that the microblog traffic fits with the power law distribution. We demonstrate the electiveness of our approach on three real datasets. Our results are important for cellular network operators to learn user behavior and optimize the future microblog application designs. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

In the research of green networks, considering the base station (BS) density from the perspective of energy efficiency is very meaningful for both network deployment and BS sleeping based power saving. In this paper, we optimize the BS density for energy efficiency in cellular networks by the stochastic geometry theory and optimize the user association matrix by the Quantum Particle Swarm Optimization (QPSO). On one hand, we model the distribution of base stations and user equipment (UE) as spatial Poisson point process (PPP). Based on such model, we derive the closed-form expressions of the average achievable data rate, the network energy consumption and the network energy efficiency with respect to the network load. Then, we optimize the BS density for network energy efficiency maximization by adopting the Newton iteration method. On the other hand, we build a user association matrix to present the connection state between BSs and UEs, and then optimize it by QPSO. Our study reveals that we can improve the network energy efficiency by switching on/off proportion of the BSs according to the network load. The simulation results validate the theoretical analysis, and show that when the right amount of BSs is deployed according to the network load, the network energy efficiency can be maximized and the maximum energy efficiency is a fixed value once the network parameters are given.

Recent years wireless networks have witnessed an explosive growth in enhanced multimedia broadcast and multicast service (eMBMS). Scalable video coding (SVC) streaming is a mainstream coding in eMBMS. In this paper we present a novel eMBMS user cooperative erasure recovery mechanism based on network coding where SVC streaming and layer network coding are broadcasted by source node. Local cooperative repair together with network coding is used to save total overhead of links and reduce the retransmission times, for purpose of improving Quality of Service (QoS) of video streaming. The simulation results show that the number of retransmissions declines a lot through our mechanism. Local user cooperation saves link overhead as much as 55% when sender disseminates SVC streaming. Combining with layer network coding, the overhead can also be reduced about 17%.

In this paper, we propose a novel 'Opinion Free' (OF) No-Reference Video Quality Assessment (NR-VQA) algorithm based on frame-level unsupervised feature learning and hysteresis temporal pooling. The system consists of three components: feature extraction with max-min pooling, frame quality prediction and temporal pooling. Frame level features are first extracted by unsupervised feature learning and used to train a linear Support Vector Regressor (SVR) for predicting quality scores frame by frame. Frame-level quality scores are then combined by temporal pooling to obtain a single video quality score. We tested the proposed method on the LIVE video quality database and experimental results show that without training on human opinion scores the proposed method is comparable to state-of-the-art NR-VQA algorithms. © 2014 IEEE.

In Heterogeneous network (HetNet), reasonable resource allocation has attracted extensive attention. To allocate the resource more effectively, we propose a novel algorithm from the perspective of both time domain and power domain. On the one hand, we propose an adaptive Almost Blank Subframe (ABS) configuration scheme to dynamically match the network resources with the real-time load. On the other hand, we propose a utility function of macrocells' power control and a corresponding scheduling scheme to make a tradeoff between the two-tier macro-pico networks and protect the victim users as well. The existence of the optimal solution to the problem is proved, and Differential Evolution (DE) is applied to find the optimal solution. system level simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can not only enhance the load balance between macrocell and picocell, but also provide a great improvement on the performance of edge users with little overall throughput cost.
