Accurate identification of power quality (PQ) disturbance sources is the key to solve PQ problems. In order to improve the accuracy of classifying PQ disturbance sources, this paper proposes a data-driven PQ disturbance sources identification method. It takes some PQ data characteristics into account, such as diversity of indicators, non-linearity and time sequence characteristics. Firstly, the massive data are sifted and sampled. Then the feature subset is extracted by the sequence backward selection algorithm after evaluating the feature importance based on random forest (RF). Finally, the data are aggregated at fixed intervals, smoothed by the sliding average method, and put into Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network for model learning and prediction. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is more effective than the traditional RF method. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Transmit antenna selection (TAS) is an emerging technology in physical layer security. To provide new insights into the achievable secrecy performance of TAS in practical communication systems, this paper investigates the average secrecy rate (ASR) and secrecy outage probability (SOP) under practical modulation schemes in TAS aided multiple-input multiple-output multiple-antenna eavesdropper (MIMOME) wiretap channels over Rayleigh fading. Particularly, this research concentrates more on the square M -ary quadrature amplitude modulation ( M -QAM). Furthermore, in the considered MIMOME channel, a single antenna is selected to transmit the secret message, and selection combining (SC) or maximal-ratio combining (MRC) is utilized at the legitimate receiver and the eavesdropper. Based on this system model, novel expressions for the ASR and SOP are formulated to characterize the secrecy performance of the finite-alphabet driven MIMOME channel. Besides exact analysis, an asymptotic analysis is performed using the considered performance metrics in high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regime. Theoretical analyses suggest that the asymptotic ASR and SOP converge to finite constants in high SNR regime due to the discrete constellation constraint, and we find that the asymptotic behaviour of discrete inputs differs from that of Gaussian inputs. Furthermore, we derive concise expressions to characterize the rate of convergence (ROC) of the ASR and SOP, respectively. To unveil more system design insights, we discuss the relationship between the ROC and several important system parameters such as the antenna number and the modulation order. © 1972-2012 IEEE.

In highway domain, business analyses are always multidimensional on massive data for the traffic monitor and control. It is tedious to develop data analysis jobs from scratch and is hardly to consider comprehensive factors from requirements. In this paper, we propose a domain specific service template on massive toll data in highway domain. Based on the service template, abundant multidimensional analysis jobs as services can be built and managed flexibly. In a practical project, our method proves the feasibility and advantages by exhaustive experiments and case studies. © 2020 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Bipartite graph-based recommendation is a key topic in the field of recommender systems. Using logistic regression, a new recommendation algorithm based on a bipartite graph is proposed. First, the weights of the bipartite graph and the similarity of users are defined. Then, a recommendation list based on the bipartite graph is generated. Next, items in the recommendation list are re-sorted using the classification results of logistic regression. Furthermore, a balance factor is proposed to measure the accuracy and diversity of a recommender system comprehensively. Experimental results show that the recommendation results of the proposed algorithm are good. © 2019, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In current public transportation of modern cities, the passenger volume analysis counts the bus passengers in multiple perspectives, and it is significant to optimize the bus scheduling and evaluate transportation capacity. On the smart card data of passengers taking buses, traditional solutions have inherent limitations about long processing delay, inaccuracy result and poor scalability. In this paper, the spatio-temporal correlation with business restrictions is considered, and an effective platform service for passenger volumes analyses are proposed on massive smart card. Our service has been applied in practical usage for three types of passenger volume, and holds minute-level latencies on weekly data with nearly linear scalability in extensive conditions. © 2019, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

Almost all the modern electronic devices have the ferromagnetic parts. For a generalized variable-coefficient Kraenkel-Manna-Merle system in a deformed ferrite, which is a generalized variable-coefficient ultrashort wave model, this paper, around a noncharacteristic movable singular manifold, symbolically computes out two magnetic auto-Bäcklund transformations, along with two families of the magnetic soliton solutions. Those results are in their reliance on the coefficients in that system. Electrodynamical implications of our magnetic auto-Bäcklund transformations and magnetic solitons come from the follow factors: the magnetic field, magnitude of the density of saturation magnetization, magnetization density, vacuum velocity of light, gyromagnetic ratio, shape of the wave during the propagation with a very short wavelength assumed, slow time variable describing the propagation over a long time or a long distance linked to the wavelength, inhomogeneity in the ferrite measuring the bond dependence of lattice defects and the corresponding exchange effects (also known as the system deformation) as well as exchange integral between the nearest-neighbor spin-spin interaction for the ferrite. With symbolic computation, the impact of inhomogeneity on the magnetic auto-Bäcklund transformations and on the transmission of magnetic solitons is presented. On the application side, the inhomogeneity could offer the possibility to realize the ultrafast magnetization switching in certain magnetic devices. Future experiments and observations might detect some features predicted in this paper, and relevant physical insights might be expected.

The key problem in the fine management of science and technology is to model the behavior characteristics of scientific and technical personnel and then find groups through various related cooperative relationships. Aiming at the analysis of team relationship of scientific and technical personnel data, this paper proposed a method to recognize the group of scientific and technological personnel based on relational graph. The relationship model of scientific and technological personnel was designed, and based on this, the relational graph was constructed with the relationship identification and extraction from source data. A frequent item mining algorithm based on Hadoop was proposed, which enabled getting the group of scientific and technological personnel by mining and analysis of data in relational graph. In this paper, the proposed method was experimented on both open and private data sets, and compared with several classical algorithms. The results showed that the method proposed in this paper has a significant improvement in execution efficiency.

The use of service oriented computing paradigm and ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) technology has recently received significant attention to enable data warehouse construction and data integration. Aiming at improving scheduling and execution efficiency of service based ETL process, this paper proposes a distributed scheduling and execution framework for ETL process and a corresponding method. Firstly, add different weights to the ETL process to ensure the loading efficiency of core business data. Secondly, the scheduler selects the executors according to the performance and load, then allocates the ETL process execution request based on the greedy balance (GB) algorithm to make the load of the executor balancing. Thirdly, the executors parses ETL process to ETL services, then selects one or more executors to deploy and execute the ETL service according to the locality-aware strategy, that is, the amount of data involved and the distance of the node network which service involved, which can reduce the network overhead and improve execution efficiency. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by experimental comparison. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2019.

With the rapid proliferation of IOT sensors, the traditional cloud computing paradigm confronts several challenges such as bandwidth limitation and high latency. Therefore, edge computing paradigm has been paid more attention. In order to guarantee the real-time monitoring of electric heaters, this paper proposes a monitoring architecture combining cloud and edge nodes, and an anomaly detection method and a heating prediction method based on the architecture. Experiments show that the presented monitoring mechanism can reduce response time, improve data transmission efficiency and realize real-time monitoring and management. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
