Inhomogeneity, magnetic auto-Bäcklund transformations and magnetic solitons for a generalized variable-coefficient Kraenkel-Manna-Merle system in a deformed ferrite

Almost all the modern electronic devices have the ferromagnetic parts. For a generalized variable-coefficient Kraenkel-Manna-Merle system in a deformed ferrite, which is a generalized variable-coefficient ultrashort wave model, this paper, around a noncharacteristic movable singular manifold, symbolically computes out two magnetic auto-Bäcklund transformations, along with two families of the magnetic soliton solutions. Those results are in their reliance on the coefficients in that system. Electrodynamical implications of our magnetic auto-Bäcklund transformations and magnetic solitons come from the follow factors: the magnetic field, magnitude of the density of saturation magnetization, magnetization density, vacuum velocity of light, gyromagnetic ratio, shape of the wave during the propagation with a very short wavelength assumed, slow time variable describing the propagation over a long time or a long distance linked to the wavelength, inhomogeneity in the ferrite measuring the bond dependence of lattice defects and the corresponding exchange effects (also known as the system deformation) as well as exchange integral between the nearest-neighbor spin-spin interaction for the ferrite. With symbolic computation, the impact of inhomogeneity on the magnetic auto-Bäcklund transformations and on the transmission of magnetic solitons is presented. On the application side, the inhomogeneity could offer the possibility to realize the ultrafast magnetization switching in certain magnetic devices. Future experiments and observations might detect some features predicted in this paper, and relevant physical insights might be expected.

In an IoT environment, a surge in sensor data volume has exposed the shortcomings of cloud computing, particularly the limitation of network transmission capability and centralised computing resources. To handle these issues, this paper proposes a service-oriented framework, called as INFOG, to support the dynamic cooperation among sensors with the fog computing paradigm. Proactive data services and service hyperlinks, which are our previous work, are two key abstractions for the INFOG framework. The services are software-defined abstraction of physical sensors. They are deployed in edge nodes in INFOG. And service hyperlinks, encapsulation of service correlations, enable the cooperation of sensors at the software layer. We also propose a frequent sequential pattern-based approach to effectively discover service hyperlinks. Based on the dataset from a real power plant as well as several synthetic datasets, we do lots of experiments to verify the effectiveness and efficiency of our algorithm. © 2020 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Spatio-temporal data is one of the most important assets in the context of smart cities. Spatio-temporal big data comes from a variety of sensor devices, implies the state of urban operation, insight into the development trend. Due to the multidimensional characteristics and diverse analysis needs of spatial-temporal data, data analysis based on spatial-temporal data must take into account the large capacity, diversity and frequent changes of data. This makes spatial and temporal data analysis more difficult. In order to simplify the analysis of spatio-temporal data, a service-oriented intelligent framework is proposed. Firstly, the concept of spatio-temporal data service is introduced into the framework, and several common spatio-temporal data service models are defined. Then, a configurable scripting language was proposed to define the analytic application. We also developed a prototype tool to implement spatio-temporal data services on Hadoop. In order to prove the applicability of our method, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our work through a practical application-based study. © 2019, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

Many anomaly detection algorithms have been provided as services for more convenient and efficient utilization in IoT era. Due to concept drift existed in dynamic IoT stream data, it is a changeling task to apply proper anomaly detection services at run time. For effective on-line anomalous data discovery, this paper proposes a service selection framework to dynamically select and configure anomaly detection services. A fast classification model based on XGBoost is trained to identify the pattern of various stream data, so that suitable service can be selected and configured according to the pattern of stream data. Extensive experiments on real and synthetic data sets show that our framework can select suitable service for different scenarios, and the accuracy of the chosen services outperforms state-of-the-art methods.

With the development of the Internet of Things (IOT) technology, a large number of sensor data have been produced. Due to the complex acquisition environment and transmission condition, anomalies are prevalent. Sensor data is a kind of typical time series data, its anomaly refers to not only outliers, but also the anomaly of continuous data fragments, namely anomaly patterns. To achieve anomaly pattern detection on sensor data, the characteristics of sensor data are analyzed including temporal correlation, spatial correlation and high dimension. Then based on these characteristics and the real-time processing requirements of sensor data, a sensor data oriented anomaly pattern detection approach is proposed in this paper. In the approach, the frequency domain features of sensor data are obtained by Fast Fourier Transform, the dimension of the feature space is reduced by describing frequency domain features with statistical values, and the high-dimensional sensor data is processed in time on the basis of Isolation Forest algorithm. In order to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach, experiments are carried out on the open dataset IBRL. The experimental results show that the approach can effectively identify the pattern anomalies of sensor data, and has low time cost while ensuring the high accuracy. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Information service is always a hot topic especially when web is accessible anywhere. In university, lecture information is very import for students and teachers who want to take part in academic meetings. Therefore, lecture news extraction is an important and imperative task. Although many open information extraction methods have been proposed, but due to the highly heterogeneity of website, this task is still a challenge. In this manuscript, we propose a method based on fusing multiple features to locate lecture news in university web site. These features including the organization structure of lecture news catalog webpage, the visual similarity and the semantic of webpage. Additionally, this paper provide an information service based on a main content extraction algorithm for extracting lecture information. The stable and invariant features enable the propose method could adaptive to many kinds of campus website. The experiments conducted on 50 websites show the effectiveness and efficiencies of provided service.

Temperature is an important indicator for agriculture irrigation, industrial manufacture, food safety, etc. While temperature measurement can be achieved via dedicated sensors, there still have a demand to sense temperature with ubiquitous computing devices. In this paper, we propose to enable the sound signal to measure the air temperature using commodity acoustic devices. Different from existing FMCW and OFDM based acoustic sensing system, we are the first to employ acoustic pulse signal and get rid of offsets to obtain the accurate sound speed. Then we precisely obtain temperature by quantifying the relation between sound speed and temperature. We build a temperature monitoring prototype named AcousticThermo, and conduct extensive experiments. Experimental results show that the proposed system can achieve an average estimation error of below 0.2°C in various temperature environments.

In highway domain, business analyses are always multidimensional on massive data for the traffic monitor and control. It is tedious to develop data analysis jobs from scratch and is hardly to consider comprehensive factors from requirements. In this paper, we propose a domain specific service template on massive toll data in highway domain. Based on the service template, abundant multidimensional analysis jobs as services can be built and managed flexibly. In a practical project, our method proves the feasibility and advantages by exhaustive experiments and case studies. © 2020 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.
