For the dynamic virtual environment in future network, varying and abundant service demands on future network requires intelligent resource management capabilities to ensure service delivery to customers, motivating the need to develop a novel virtual resource management architecture for this purpose. In the paper, we propose an intelligent and distributed virtual resource management architecture based on prediction for future network (IDP-VRMA), consist of a Control system, a Knowledge Processing Element and Intelligent Substrate Nodes. Combined with monitoring and prediction capabilities, the IDP-VRMA can perform intelligent virtual resource management in the dynamic virtual environment. Furthermore, we demonstrate the advantages of the proposed architecture by means of functional descriptions.

In this paper, we propose a spectrum detection algorithm based on an orthogonal dual-polarized antenna for cognitive radio, called polarization spectrum detection. In the proposed algorithm,using polarization information from dual-polarization received antenna,the test statistic is derived according to likelihood ratio test criteria, and is compared with threshold to detect whether the primary user is present or not. The main new attractive feature of the proposed algorithm is that to work in the presence of unknown priori knowledge. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm performance with priori knowledge is much better than energy detection,and is affected little by noise uncertainty with unknown priori knowledge.

For the demand of analyzing network traffic flows from operators at present, this paper introduces a method of obtaining IP database based on BGP protocol and describes the details of the system deployment. Through analyzing the obtained data, it was found that the IP database obtained this way has a high accuracy. Real-time applications such as video and audio streaming popularly in the public network require the guarantee of Quality of Services(Qo S). But most of the current Qo S routing optimization algorithm such as Ant Colony Optimization suffered from scalability problem and local optimum problem and was used in the continuous space. So in this paper, Discrete-Mapping Chaotic Ant Swarm Optimization(DM-CASO) is introduced into the Qo S discrete routing area so as to improving Qo S routing performance in the network. This paper firstly establish the multi-constrained QoS routing model, then propose a new path update method in the discrete space through the introduction of discrete mapping, finally introduce the natural selection and mutation ideas to effectively jump out of the local optimum. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can solve the problem of finding the optimal path and achieve a better effect in the success rate of finding optimal path.

A novel method for achieving practical real-time traffic classification is proposed in this paper, which is based on C4.5 decision tree. Most existing traffic classification algorithms only focus on accuracy of the classification results, but lack of considering the various costs in actual deployment. So they cannot guarantee that the obtained tree construction is optimal for hardware and software processing. To solve this problem, our Cost Based Feature Evaluation procedure defines VnitGainRatio as the metric of attributes to find the best tree construction when considering the attribute acquisition and processing cost We also introduce another method called Fuzzy Delicacy Node Selection procedure to choose the more suitable node, when their VnitGainRatio are too close to each other. The experiment results show that the proposed method reduces the average cost compared with similar algorithm.

In this paper, a Best-M feedback scheme using Kalman filter is proposed to reduce the uplink feedback overhead in the presence of feedback delay. Best-M feedback scheme is an effective method to reduce the number of the channel quality information (CQI) feedback. However, the CQI feedback after the conventional Best-M decision is inaccurate for base station (BS) scheduling due to the feedback delay and the time varying nature of the channel. A modified limited feedback scheme is proposed to use a Kalman filter to compensate for the performance degradation caused by the feedback delay in Best-M feedback scheme. In the proposed scheme, the user equipment (UE) exploits a Kalman filter to predict the signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR). Then, the UE makes the Best-M decision based on this predicted SINR and sends the corresponding CQI back to the BS. The simulation results show that the Best-M feedback scheme using Kalman filter, which achieves the same feedback reduction as the conventional scheme, improves the system spectral efficiency.

The General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) has become a standard to extend the services provided by the Global system for Mobile Communications (GSM). The GPRS quickly penetrates into everyday life and the 24-hour always-on feature changes the user life. It also facilitates the new opportunity to understand the user behaviors. In this paper we present some observations of the GPRS, by disposing monitoring and analysis system at the Gn interface of real operational GPRS network. By analyzing the characteristics of the data, such as login time, logout time, delay of transmission and user attributes, the author provided a basis analysis of regular user behaviors using user attribute pattern clustering. From this observation, the time-of-day behavior gives better indication of mobile user behaviors in GPRS network.

Existing Web services composition technology, lack of services selecting. A particle swarm optimization algorithm based on the multi-objective optimization strategies was provided to address quality of services to choose the issue of global optimization. It is to transform Web services select the overall optimization problem with QoS into a multi-objective constrained optimization problem based on Qos, using multi-objective PSO intelligent theory, by a number of Qos parameters optimized at the same time, and ultimately produce a set of constraints to meet the Pareto optimal solution. The experimental results show the feasibility and efficiency of the algorithm.
