Reconfigurable metasurface for code division multiplexing in high-capacity and low-crosstalk holographic encryption

Metasurface multiplexing holography shows potential to enhance information capacity but faces challenges such as crosstalk and limited dynamic switching. Leveraging the orthogonality of code division multiplexing (CDM) technology, we propose a reconfigurable metasurface-based encryption scheme. Here, the CDM code acts as a decryption key, enabling dynamic holographic image switching and ensuring secure information transmission. The circular polarization information is encoded into the reconfigurable metasurface using simultaneous modulation of geometric and propagation phases. By controlling polarization states of incident light and crystallization levels of GSST, the high-capacity and low-crosstalk CDM holographic images can be generated. Furthermore, a detailed analysis is conducted on the capacity of CDM holography, the factors influencing the efficiency of metasurface diffraction, and the scalability and feasibility of practical manufacturing. This proposed scheme has the ability to significantly boost encryption security, paving the way for increased information storage capacity and optical encryption. © 2025 Optica Publishing Group under the terms of the Optica Open Access Publishing Agreement.

Salix-Leaf: Find Main Veins of Signal Clusters for Practical Parallel Decoding

Parallel decoding of backscatter improves communication throughput by enabling concurrent transmission of backscatter tags. In practical applications of parallel decoding, it is extremely difficult to distinguish collided signals in superclusters where multiple signal clusters overlap. Existing methods are usually effective for superclusters with uniformly distributed signals. Nevertheless, there are many more scenarios in which signals in superclusters tend to gather unevenly, and existing methods cannot work. Such uneven clustering of signals occurs due to the following two possible causes: (1) signal-strengthdifferences (SSDs) among tags;or (2) cluster drifting (CD) driven by interferences from other objects within communication environments. This paper proposes a novel scheme called SalixLeaf, which aims to identify the main veins of signal clusters to address this problem of superclusters with unevenly distributed signals. Salix-Leaf identifies the main vein of each signal cluster for fine-grained clustering so that the direction of the main veins can be used to verify the accuracy of clustering. In addition, SalixLeaf employs a supercluster decomposer that divides signals into different segments for clustering analysis, enhancing robustness and practicability. Experimental results show that Salix-Leaf achieves a 1.2-fold increase in throughput and a 25% reduction in bit error rate (BER) compared to the state-of-the-art. © 2002-2012 IEEE.

In the collaborative production environment of manufacturing tasks, the evaluation of enterprise technical capability in advance has a direct impact on the high-performance collaboration between the supplier and the demander of production tasks. In order to solve the problem of efficiency and accuracy in the past evaluation methods, this paper applies the adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) to the field of enterprise technical capability evaluation for the first time, and proposes an improved hybrid intelligent model SFAHP-ANFIS-PSO based on fuzzy theory. The model takes the four key indexes which have the deepest impact on enterprise technical capability evaluation as the input variables of the model, and the input data are evaluated by ANFIS with high accuracy. Spherical fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (SFAHP) calculated the weight of each evaluation index to preprocess the ANFIS model. Particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO) continuously optimized the model parameters in the training process, shortened the model training time, improved the evaluation efficiency, and further improved the accuracy of the evaluation results. The experimental results show that the SFAHP-ANFIS-PSO model has high convergence speed and accuracy of results, and can be used to evaluate the technical capability of enterprises with high efficiency and high accuracy. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

Timeliness is one of the important indicators of data quality. In industrial production processes, a large amount of dependent data is generated, often resulting in unclear timestamps. Therefore, this article combines the conclusion dependency graph into a process dependency graph to determine the identification order of the timeliness of each process data;By constructing a weighted timeliness graph (WTG) and path single flux, a data timeliness identification method that does not completely rely on timestamps is proposed. Finally, a time-effectiveness identification method based on weighted time-effectiveness graph was discussed through an example and 9 dependency rules, and the effectiveness of the method was verified through a set of experiments. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

Janus metasurface holography with asymmetric transmission characteristics provides new degrees of freedom for multiplexing ***,earlier metasurfaces with asymmetrical transmission faced limitations in terms of tunability and *** this study,we propose a metasurface color holographic encryption scheme with dynamic switching and asymmetric transmission at visible frequencies using a low-loss nonvolatile optical phase-change material,Sb_(2)S_(3).Using a modified holographic optimization strategy,we achieved highfidelity asymmetric holographic imaging of a nanostructured *** controlling the incident direction and wavelength of visible light,as well as the level of crystallization of Sb_(2)S_(3),this reconfigurable metasurface enables the precise manipulation of tunable color holographic image *** particular,in the semi-crystalline state of Sb_(2)S_(3),the encoded information can be securely encrypted using a two-channel color-holographic image,whereas only a preset camouflaged image is displayed in the crystalline or amorphous state of Sb_(2)S_(3).The proposed multiencrypted Janus metasurface provides a potential approach for dynamic holographic displays with ultrahigh capacity,holographic encryption,and information storage.

In cloud manufacturing (CMfg), various services with different functions are aggregated into an optimal service composition to handle complex manufacturing tasks, while maximizing service quality. However, the collaborative effect between services has a significant impact on the service composition, and the conflict between tasks may also affect the operation of the service composition in a real manufacturing environment. To handle these problems, this paper proposes an adaptive model of manufacturing service composition based on conflict detection. First, the preference information of both service parties and the collaborative performance between the services are considered to obtain a more realistic and satisfactory service composition. Subsequently, resource conflicts are detected in real time, and resolved according to their types, so as to realize the self-adaptation of the service composition. Finally, the illustrative case and experimental results are conducted to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed model. © 2022 SPIE.

To express the right information about enterprise data and trace the changes of data right in the whole life cycle of data, this paper designed a data right provenance model based on the W3C PROV model. The PROV-R model defined the core class to support the representation of data right with a new set of relations to express the interaction between the classes. In order to trace the complex right relations, the model uses some inference rules to add the new relational statements. Finally, a data trading process shows the application of this data right provenance model. © 2022 SPIE.

In the field of simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), visual odometry (VO) always has great application prospects. In recent years, with the progress in the field of machine learning, methods based on neural networks are constantly being updated and applied. In this paper, we propose a continuous and generalized monocular visual odometry method based on features and neural networks. First, the feature information of adjacent image sequences is extracted by matching and troubleshooting algorithm (FLANN_PSC-RANSAC), then it and the corresponding six-degree-of-freedom information are simultaneously input into the long short-term memory artificial neural network (LSTM) for model construction, which not only ensures the reliability of the mode but also eliminates the influence of illumination on the data. In the real environment test, it has been effectively proved in terms of trajectory recovery accuracy and generalization ability to different environments and different illuminations. © 2024 - IOS Press. In energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy,the estimation of the pulse amplitude determines the accuracy of the spectrum *** error generated by the amplitude estimation of the pulse output distorted by the measurement system leads to false peaks in the measured *** eliminate these false peaks and achieve an accurate estimation of the distorted pulse amplitude,a composite neural network model is proposed,which embeds long and short-term memory(LSTM)into the UNet *** UNet network realizes the fusion of pulse sequence features and the LSTM model realizes pulse amplitude *** model is trained using simulated pulse datasets with different amplitudes and distortion *** the pulse height estimation,the average relative error of the trained model on the test set was approximately 0.64%,which is 27.37% lower than that of the traditional trapezoidal shaping *** processing of a standard iron source further validated the pulse height estimation performance of the UNet-LSTM *** estimating the amplitude of the distorted pulses using the model,the false peak area was reduced by approximately 91% over the full spectrum and was corrected to the characteristic peak region of interest(ROI).The corrected peak area accounted for approximately 1.32%of the characteristic peak ROI *** results indicate that the model can accurately estimate the height of distorted pulses and has substantial corrective effects on false peaks.

Unlike traditional railway vehicles, the particularity of tram right of way determines the multiple and diversity of its accident forms. Based on the analysis of accident data at home and abroad, this paper determines the three road right management modes with the highest accident rate. On this basis, three collision scenarios are designed between a three-module 100% low-floor tram and various types of passenger vehicles. In this paper, we innovatively use PC-Crash crash simulation combined with SPSS quantitative analysis to study the accident characteristics of tram and passenger vehicle collisions under disparate right of way. The results show that the occupant's living space is smaller in 45° side impact under the semi-independent right of way. Under the mixed right of way, when the tram is used as a rear-end vehicle, the collision interface force is more intense. At the same collision speed, the displacement of the vehicle body and the invasion of the living space will be larger under the mixed right of way. Finally, based on the simulation results and causal analysis method, an accurate and highly flexible accident cause analysis framework is formed. From the aspects of single influence and comprehensive influence, the factors affecting the safety of tram operation under diverse road right management modes are analyzed, and tailored suggestions are given to improve the safety of the track system. © 2023 SPIE.
