Learning behavior in legged robots presents a significant challenge due to its inherent instability and complex constraints. Recent research has proposed the use of a large language model (LLM) to generate reward functions in reinforcement learning, thereby replacing the need for manually designed rewards by experts. However, this approach, which relies on textual descriptions to define learning objectives, fails to achieve controllable and precise behavior learning with clear directionality. In this paper, we introduce a new video2reward method, which directly generates reward functions from videos depicting the behaviors to be mimicked and learned. Specifically, we first process videos containing the target behaviors, converting the motion information of individuals in the videos into keypoint trajectories represented as coordinates through a video2text transforming module. These trajectories are then fed into an LLM to generate the reward function, which in turn is used to train the policy. To enhance the quality of the reward function, we develop a video-assisted iterative reward refinement scheme that visually assesses the learned behaviors and provides textual feedback to the LLM. This feedback guides the LLM to continually refine the reward function, ultimately facilitating more efficient behavior learning. Experimental results on tasks involving bipedal and quadrupedal robot motion control demonstrate that our method surpasses the performance of state-of-the-art LLM-based reward generation methods by over 37.6% in terms of human normalized score. More importantly, by switching video inputs, we find our method can rapidly learn diverse motion behaviors such as walking and running. © 2024 The Authors.

In the field of aquaponics, where fish and plants coexist in a symbiotic environment, closely monitoring nitrate levels in the water is crucial due to their profound impact on aquatic and plant well-being. Traditional nitrate measurement methods are often time-consuming and costly. Various approaches, including first principles, IoT-based sensors, and machine learning-based soft sensors, have been attempted to address this challenge. However, these efforts face challenges such as expensive sensors, infrequent data collection, multistage data processing using limited sensor types, and the need for regular maintenance like cleaning and calibration. Additionally, varied environmental conditions affect sensor suitability for different water environments, and even some machine learning-based soft sensors have proven inaccurate. In response, soft sensors, especially deep learning-based ones, have gained prominence in industrial applications for their adaptability and accuracy. These sensors provide real-time insights into complex processes without requiring expensive hardware. In this study, an innovative solution was introduced using Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) technology, a neural network architecture in deep learning known for capturing complex temporal patterns. LSTM is well-suited for modeling and predicting nitrate concentration changes in aquaponics, trained with extensive data collected from various aquaponic ponds. Through rigorous evaluation, a remarkable MSE value of 0.00074 and an impressive R-squared score of 0.98 were achieved, holding potential for scaling up to commercial applications, benefiting aquaponics operations, supporting researchers, and enhancing sustainability and productivity in aquaponic systems. © 2024 IEEE.

Automated Testing for Service-Oriented Architecture: Leveraging Large Language Models for Enhanced Service Composition

This article explores the application of Large Language Models (LLMs), including proprietary models such as OpenAI's ChatGPT 4o and ChatGPT 4o-mini, Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Claude 3.7 Sonnet, and Google's Gemini 1.5 Pro, Gemini 2.0 Flash, and Gemini 2.0 Flash-Lite, as well as open-source alternatives including Qwen2.5-14B-Instruct-1M, and commercially accessed models such as DeepSeek R1 and DeepSeek V3, which were tested via APIs despite having open-source variants, to automate validation and verification in Application Programming Interface (API) testing within a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). Our system compares internal responses from the Enuygun Web Server against third-party API outputs in both JSON and XML formats, validating critical parameters such as flight prices, baggage allowances, and seat availability. We generated 100 diverse test scenarios across varying complexities (1-4 flight results) by randomly altering request and response parameters. Experimental results show that Google Gemini 2.0 Flash achieved high accuracy (up to 99.98%) with the lowest completion time (85.34 seconds), while Qwen2.5-14B-Instruct-1M exhibited limited capability in processing complex formats. Models such as OpenAI's ChatGPT and Anthropic's Claude Sonnet models also demonstrated strong performance in single-flight validation scenarios, making them suitable for low-latency, high-precision tasks. Our findings indicate that some open-source models can offer promising cost-effective alternatives, though performance significantly varies. This integration of LLMs reduced manual workload, improved test scalability, and enabled real-time validation across large-scale datasets. As LLM technologies mature, we anticipate further advances in automation, accuracy, and efficiency in software validation systems. © 2013 IEEE.

Several digital dangers were investigated. Malware dominated analysis with 45 attacks. We found 30 phishing attacks. 22 data breaches, 15 cyber espionage, 18 identity theft. This indicates the kind and frequency of harassment digital forensic specialists endure. Digital evidence was crucial to the case. 65 pieces of evidence were collected on computers. 42 incidents showed smartphones and tablets' digital investigative potential. There were 55 examples of communication patterns requiring network logs. In 28 and 12, cloud services and removable media provided proof. A wide range of evidence sources stresses the need for extensive collecting. Digital forensics were essential to the inquiry. In 70% of cases, disk imaging software created forensic copies of metadata-and timestamp-containing storage media. Network packet analyzers examined 48 traffic logs and communication patterns. To analyze volatile memory, 35 cases used memory forensics. In 25 cases, malware analysis platforms decrypted malware. In 60 situations, file recovery software recovered lost or hidden files. Digital forensic specialists' diverse arsenal for thorough investigations is shown here. Legal and ethical considerations dominated the study. The law was important, and all inquiries followed norms. A strong chain of custody protects evidence integrity and admissibility. The data privacy rules were respected. Legal evidence is admissible in court. Ethics ensured objective investigations. This underlines digital forensic investigations' legal and ethical foundation. © 2024 IEEE.

This study is meant to research the evolution of intrusion detection and network monitoring within computer, cloud-based systems, IIoT, and mobile environments. The source has outlined the novel technologies in IDS, from 'Fast Learning Network' to hybrid classifiers aiming at protecting cloud computing. The findings highlight innovation IDS technologies that provide flexible and peculiar solutions to ward off potential cyber threats. In addition, it presented with the use of Nagios, NConf, the state of the art in network traffic monitoring, and deep learning as tools for advanced management and network protection. Besides, the research also reviewed concepts of big data Analytics and Federated Learning in bettering direct integration and anomaly detection in IIoT. A good comparison of the two would show that recent technological advancements are much needed for network efficiency and its cybersecurity. Based on the findings, the scope of networked system security develops dynamically amid current challenges. © 2024 IEEE.

Brain tumors are abnormal cell growths that occur in various parts of the brain, and the accurate classification of these tumors plays a critical role in determining treatment methods. Classification and diagnosis of brain tumors based on artificial intelligence and deep learning models have been made possible due to advances in medical image processing technologies. For instance, such technologies facilitate quick detection of tumors by health experts thereby improving early diagnosis rate and hence enhancing treatment outcomes. Importantly, however, one considers improvement or breakthroughs in artificial intelligence-based classification systems as a crucial step forward towards brain tumor diagnosis as well as its treatment strategy. In this study we use Google Research's ImageNet-21k pre-trained ResNet50 model for classifying brain tumor cases. This model is a deep learning-based image classification tool and is capable of learning from large data sets. The model is specifically trained for high-resolution image recognition and is designed to achieve high accuracy rates. The results showed a classification accuracy of 99.9 percent, which is an exceptional accuracy rate for this model. This accuracy rate indicates that the model is highly effective in detecting and classifying brain tumors. High accuracy rates allow for early diagnosis of patients' diseases and, as it is often said in medicine, 'Early Diagnosis Saves Lives'. This result is one of the many proofs of how effective artificial intelligence and deep learning are in medical image analysis. © 2024 IEEE.

The urgent need for early detection and intervention in colorectal cancer highlights the importance of automating colorectal polyp detection. Despite the use of deep learning techniques for polyp detection from medical images, these methods often struggle with issues such as skewed data distribution and class imbalances. In this study, we introduce PolyLite, a lightweight transformer-based model designed to balance performance and efficiency. PolyLite features a custom SegFormer encoder that takes advantage of its lightweight design, and a decoder that uses a multi-scale attention network (MA-NET) to achieve an optimal balance between accuracy and efficiency. To improve accuracy and reduce false negatives, we incorporate a reverse attention layer that effectively counteracts input mask attention during training. This refocuses the model's efforts to better learn non-polyp regions. PolyLite undergoes a two-stage training process, beginning with pre-training on the ImageNet dataset and then fine-tuning on the Kvasir-SEG dataset. We conduct rigorous evaluations on three complex datasets: CVC-ClinicDB, CVC-ColonDB, and ETIS-LaribPolypDB. Empirical results demonstrate PolyLite's superiority over existing techniques, as evidenced by its performance in terms of Intersection over Union and Dice scores. This validates its effectiveness and scalability in polyp segmentation, making complex and computationally intensive architectures unnecessary. © 2023 IEEE.

Mobile edge computing aims to provide cloud-like services on edge servers located near Mobile Devices (MDs) with higher Quality of Service (QoS). However, the mobility of MDs makes it difficult to find a global optimal solution for the coupled service placement and request scheduling problem. To address these issues, we consider a three-Tier MEC network with vertical and horizontal cooperation. Then we formulate the joint service placement and request scheduling problem in a mobile scenario with heterogeneous services and resource limits, and convert it into two Markov decision processes to decouple decisions across successive time slots. We propose a Cyclic Deep Q-network-based Service placement and Request scheduling (CDSR) framework to find a long-Term optimal solution despite future information unavailability. Specifically, to solve the issue of enormous action space, we decompose the system agent and train them cyclically. Evaluation results demonstrates the effectiveness of our proposed CDSR on user-perceived QoS. © 2023 IEEE.

Recent advances in the diffusion model mark a significant leap in AI-generated image technology while extending its application to the Internet of Things (IoT). However, deploying these models on resource-constrained edge devices presents considerable challenges, primarily due to their high computational energy demands and stringent quality requirements. In response to these challenges, we introduce a collaborative inference system tailored for green edge networks. First, we propose a multi-exit U-ViT model that achieves the balance between inference quality and processing speed by allowing adaptive selection of exit points during diffusion for efficient processing. Next, we develop a novel generative AI-assisted reinforcement learning algorithm that controls the exit selections and offloading decisions of the device to achieve maximum global gain. Furthermore, we design a novel policy network incorporating an attention-based state-embedded policy network to enhance the algorithm's ability to perceive and make decisions about the state of the environment. Experimental results demonstrate that our system achieves energy-efficient inference while ensuring the quality of the generated content. © 2024 IEEE.
