Choosing the right major at an early age can be overwhelming. In addition, career advising is limited in many schools. Studies show that among the factors that affects career selection are personal attributes, passion, and career exploration activities. In this study, we present an AI powered application utilizing Flutter and Virtual Reality (VR) technology to assist high school and university students in making informed career choices. The application provides personalized career recommendations based on personality tests. The study analyzed a publicly available dataset combining the results of big Five personality test with personal information including the study majors. Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE) was employed to handle class imbalance. Multiple classification models (Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Decision Tree, Naive Bayes, and KNN) were tested. Our findings demonstrate that the Random Forest classifier, achieved better performance with an accuracy of 87.3% and an AUC-ROC of 0.99.

Fuzzy Decision Making is a line of research that has had an important presence in the literature since 1965 until nowadays. From that year to the present, the line of research has been consolidated. The research field goals have evolved along with all the research that makes use of these systems and the new technologies requirements. Therefore, new challenges, different from the ones that were faced at the beginning, need to be solved. The aim of this paper is to describe the recent challenges faced by those working in this line of research. Different types of pandemics that have appeared from time to time have changed many aspects of daily *** governments encourage their citizens to use certain applications to help control the spread of disease and to deliver other services during *** Saudi government has launched several mobile apps to control the pandemic and have made these apps available through Google Play and the app store.A huge number of reviews are written daily by users to express their opinions,which include significant information to improve these *** manual processing and extracting of information from users’reviews is an extremely difficult and time-consuming ***,the use of intelligent methods is necessary to analyse users’reviews and extract issues that can help in improving these *** research aims to support the efforts made by the Saudi government for its citizens and residents by analysing the opinions of people in Saudi Arabia that can be found as reviews on Google Play and the app store using sentiment analysis and machine learning *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first study to explore users’opinions about governmental apps in Saudi *** findings of this analysis will help government officers make the right decisions to improve the quality of the provided services and help application developers improve these applications by fixing potential issues that cannot be identified during application testing phases.A new dataset used for this research includes 8000 user reviews gathered from social media,Google Play and the app *** methods are applied to the dataset,and the results show that the k nearest neighbourhood(KNN)method generates the highest accuracy compared to other implemented methods.

Nowadays, group decision-making is an everyday event, since we usually live in a community. Nevertheless, when the number of participants is large, it starts to generate a lot of information that is complex to manage, and unlike group decision-making, where the participants are usually experts, when the number of participants increases, not all of them are, which generates a conflict of interest because the value of the vote of an expert and a (non-expert) user is worth the same. Moreover, it may happen that not all participants who start a process will finish it and not all of them will be able to make all the assessments, since they do not know all the options. Therefore, to solve all the drawbacks, this paper presents a large-scale group decision-making system in a modifiable scenario environment that groups participants according to their preferred alternative and also performs knowledge differentiation, clustering them into experts and users. This allows for optimising the consensus process, as the consensus is made by comparing the clusters and the participants with each other. © 2022 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

High-resolution point clouds (HRPCD) anomaly detection (AD) plays a critical role in precision machining and high-end equipment manufacturing. Despite considerable 3D-AD methods that have been proposed recently, they still cannot meet the requirements of the HRPCD-AD task. There are several challenges: i) It is difficult to directly capture HRPCD information due to large amounts of points at the sample level;ii) The advanced transformer-based methods usually obtain anisotropic features, leading to degradation of the representation;iii) The proportion of abnormal areas is very small, which makes it difficult to characterize. To address these challenges, we propose a novel group-level feature-based network, called Group3AD, which has a significantly efficient representation ability. First, we design an Intercluster Uniformity Network (IUN) to present the mapping of different groups in the feature space as several clusters, and obtain a more uniform distribution between clusters representing different parts of the point clouds in the feature space. Then, an Intracluster Alignment Network (IAN) is designed to encourage groups within the cluster to be distributed tightly in the feature space. In addition, we propose an Adaptive Group-Center Selection (AGCS) based on geometric information to improve the pixel density of potential anomalous regions during inference. The experimental results verify the effectiveness of our proposed Group3AD, which surpasses Reg3D-AD by the margin of 5% in terms of object-level AUROC on Real3D-AD. Today's computer networks are threatened by Trojan horse assaults and other cybersecurity dangers. We propose and evaluate deep learning methods using the Kaggle-hosted Trojan Detection dataset to detect Trojan horse assaults. This project uses these approaches. Our malware detection technology uses CNN classification for accuracy. We clean and enhance the dataset to make the model more versatile. Due to extensive testing and optimization, Trojan horse detection rates reach 98.47%. We found that the deep learning architecture accurately identifies malware. We also discuss CNN model features that illuminate Trojan horse attacks. The technique offers complete cyber security and expands our knowledge of harmful software. Deep learning may boost cybersecurity defenses against emerging attacks like Trojan horses, according to our study. © 2024 IEEE.

software testing is very important in software development to ensure its quality and reliability. As software systems have become more complex, the number of test cases has increased, which presents the challenge of executing all the tests in a limited time frame. Various test case prioritization techniques have been introduced to solve this problem. These methods aim to identify and implement the most critical tests first. In this paper, we propose an implementation of a dynamic test case prioritization strategy to improve software quality by increasing code coverage with special attention to edge case handling. Edge case test prioritization is a technique that improves test efficiency by selecting extreme case scenarios that can reveal critical bugs or unexpected behavior early in development, improving overall software reliability and dependability. In order to prioritize test cases, this paper presents a regression-based method that makes use of machine learning algorithms. The approach leverages previous performance data to optimize regression testing efficiency by examining variables like test time and execution status. Performance evaluations, when compared against industry standards and cutting-edge techniques, show how effective these algorithms are at correctly prioritizing test cases and identifying faults. This study offers simplified yet reliable solutions for regression testing optimization by shedding light on the efficacy of regression algorithms, such as Random Forest and decision trees. © 2024 IEEE.

Graph convolutional neural network (GCN) is a powerful deep learning framework for network data. However, variants of graph neural architectures can lead to drastically different performance on different tasks. Model comparison calls for a unifying framework with interpretability and principled experimental procedures. Based on the theories from graph signal processing (GSP), we show that GCN's capability is fundamentally limited by the uncertainty principle, and wavelets provide a controllable trade-off between local and global information. We adapt wavelet denoising filters to the graph domain, unifying popular variants of GCN under a common interpretable mathematical framework. Furthermore, we propose WaveThresh and WaveShrink which are novel GCN models based on proven denoising filters from the signal processing literature. Empirically, we evaluate our models and other popular GCNs under a more principled procedure and analyze how trade-offs between local and global graph signals can lead to better performance in different datasets. © 2023 ACM.

Pre-trained models of source code have gained widespread popularity in many code intelligence tasks. Recently, with the scaling of the model and corpus size, large language models have shown the ability of in-context learning (ICL). ICL employs task instructions and a few examples as demonstrations, and then inputs the demonstrations to the language models for making predictions. This new learning paradigm is training-free and has shown impressive performance in various natural language processing and code intelligence tasks. However, the performance of ICL heavily relies on the quality of demonstrations, e.g., the selected examples. It is important to systematically investigate how to construct a good demonstration for code-related tasks. In this paper, we empirically explore the impact of three key factors on the performance of ICL in code intelligence tasks: the selection, order, and number of demonstration examples. We conduct extensive experiments on three code intelligence tasks including code summarization, bug fixing, and program synthesis. Our experimental results demonstrate that all the above three factors dramatically impact the performance of ICL in code intelligence tasks. Additionally, we summarize our findings and provide takeaway suggestions on how to construct effective demonstrations, taking into account these three perspectives. We also show that a carefully-designed demonstration based on our findings can lead to substantial improvements over widely-used demonstration construction methods, e.g., improving BLEU-4, EM, and EM by at least 9.90%, 175.96%, and 50.81% on code summarization, bug fixing, and program synthesis, respectively.

Realizing Generalized Zero-Shot Learning (GZSL) based on large models is emerging as a prevailing trend. However, most existing methods merely regard large models as black boxes, solely leveraging the features output by the final layer while disregarding potential performance enhancements from other layers. Indeed, numerous researchers have visually depicted variations in the features learned across different layers of neural networks. Motivated by this observation, we propose a Vision Transformer (ViT)-based GZSL method named Depth-Aware Multi-Modal ViT (DAM2ViT), which exploits multi-level features of ViT. DAM2ViT incorporates a multi-modal interaction block to align semantic information of categories across multiple layers, thereby augmenting the model’s capacity to learn associations between visual and semantic spaces. Extensive experiments conducted on three benchmark datasets (i.e., CUB, SUN, AWA2) have showcased that DAM2ViT achieves competitive results compared to state-of-the-art methods. © 2024 IEEE.
