Log parsing, which involves log template extraction from semi-structured logs to produce structured logs, is the first and the most critical step in automated log analysis. However, current log parsers suffer from limited effectiveness for two reasons. First, traditional data-driven log parsers solely rely on heuristics or handcrafted features designed by domain experts, which may not consistently perform well on logs from diverse systems. Second, existing super-vised log parsers require model tuning, which is often limited to fixed training samples and causes sub-optimal performance across the entire log source. To address this limitation, we propose Di-vLog, an effective log parsing framework based on the in-context learning (ICL) ability of large language models (LLMs). Specifically, before log parsing, DivLog samples a small amount of offline logs as candidates by maximizing their diversity. Then, during log parsing, DivLog selects five appropriate labeled candidates as examples for each target log and constructs them into a prompt. By mining the semantics of examples in the prompt, DivLog generates a target log template in a training-free manner. In addition, we design a straightforward yet effective prompt format to extract the output and enhance the quality of the generated log templates. We conducted experiments on 16 widely-used public datasets. The results show that DivLog achieves (1) 98.1% Parsing Accuracy, (2) 92.1% Precision Template Accuracy, and (3) 92.9% Recall Template Accuracy on average, exhibiting state-of-the-art performance. © 2024 ACM.

In this paper,we investigate the application of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)-enabled relaying system in emergency communications,where one UAV is applied as a relay to help transmit information from ground users to a Base Station(BS).We maximize the total transmitted data from the users to the BS,by optimizing the user communication scheduling and association along with the power allocation and the trajectory of the *** solve this non-convex optimization problem,we propose the traditional Convex Optimization(CO)and the Reinforcement Learning(RL)-based ***,we apply the block coordinate descent and successive convex approximation techniques in the CO approach,while applying the soft actor-critic algorithm in the RL *** simulation results show that both approaches can solve the proposed optimization problem and obtain good ***,the RL approach establishes emergency communications more rapidly than the CO approach once the training process has been completed.

In the image restoration task, how to make full use of spatial and channel feature information to improve the reconstruction quality of the model without significantly increasing the computational complexity is an important research issue. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a CS module (Channel Compression and Split-Attention) specifically for optimizing image denoising tasks. The module first compresses the features through a preliminary convolution operation, then introduces the split attention convolution mechanism to split the features by channel and dynamically weight them, thereby enhancing the model's adaptive attention to different feature channels and improving feature expression capabilities. Through experiments on multiple image denoising datasets, the results show that the CS module significantly improves the image reconstruction quality, especially in terms of peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR). At the same time, the introduction of the CS module does not lead to a significant increase in computational complexity, maintaining a high computational efficiency, which verifies the practicality and superiority of the module in image denoising tasks. © 2024 IEEE.

In order to better analyze and process National Day highway travel trajectory data, a method and its calculation method for measuring the similarity between trajectories were proposed. Firstly, a new method for measuring trajectory similarity, namely TGI_GED, was introduced in this paper. Secondly, a graph neural network model was employed to enhance the computational efficiency of TGI_GED, enabling the calculation of TGI_GED between complex trajectories. Finally, this method combined clustering algorithms to further explore the characteristics and patterns of trajectories. Experimental results indicated that the graph neural network model not only significantly improved the computational efficiency of TGI_GED but also allowed for the calculation of TGI_GED between complex trajectories. Additionally, clustering results suggested that TGI_GED was more suitable for measuring the similarity between vehicle trajectories than graph edit distance. TGI_GED facilitated the discovery of latent patterns in trajectory data, offering a fresh perspective and solution for research in the field of vehicle trajectories. © 2024 SPIE.

Novel camera self-calibration method with clustering prior and nonlinear optimization from an image sequence

In many 3D reconstruction, Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), AR, and VR systems, the camera focal length constantly changes slightly due to loose hardware, causing their performances to deteriorate. To address this problem, we propose a novel camera self-calibration method that incorporates clustering prior and nonlinear optimization. By leveraging the Kruppa equation, we roughly estimate multiple analytical solutions for the camera focal length from an image sequence. Then, robust clustering based on the Gaussian mixture model is introduced to obtain an initial camera focal length value. Finally, a nonlinear cost function is proposed to refine the initial camera focal length value. Extensive experimental results on simulation and real data demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art methods, exhibiting good robustness and high accuracy. Enhancing action discrimination via category-specific frame clustering for weakly-supervised temporal action localization

Temporal action localization (TAL) is a task of detecting the start and end timestamps of action instances and classifying them in an untrimmed video. As the number of action categories per video increases, existing weakly-supervised TAL (W-TAL) methods with only video-level labels cannot provide sufficient supervision. Single-frame supervision has attracted the interest of researchers. Existing paradigms model single-frame annotations from the perspective of video snippet sequences, neglect action discrimination of annotated frames, and do not pay sufficient attention to their correlations in the same category. Considering a category, the annotated frames exhibit distinctive appearance characteristics or clear action ***, a novel method to enhance action discrimination via category-specific frame clustering for W-TAL is proposed. Specifically,the K-means clustering algorithm is employed to aggregate the annotated discriminative frames of the same category, which are regarded as exemplars to exhibit the characteristics of the action category. Then, the class activation scores are obtained by calculating the similarities between a frame and exemplars of various categories. Category-specific representation modeling can provide complimentary guidance to snippet sequence modeling in the mainline. As a result, a convex combination fusion mechanism is presented for annotated frames and snippet sequences to enhance the consistency properties of action discrimination,which can generate a robust class activation sequence for precise action classification and localization. Due to the supplementary guidance of action discriminative enhancement for video snippet sequences, our method outperforms existing single-frame annotation based methods. Experiments conducted on three datasets (THUMOS14, GTEA, and BEOID) show that our method achieves high localization performance compared with state-of-the-art methods.

Industrial process safety has always been a concern for engineers and researchers. Fault diagnosis frameworks based on data-driven methods are prevalent and play a vital role in guaranteeing industrial process safety. However, the data collected in actual industrial production regularly exhibits high-dimensional and complex timing characteristics. In this research, a new framework for fault diagnosis is constructed on the strength of dynamic L2-norm normalized fisher discriminant analysis (FDA) integrating with AdaBoost. Firstly, timing characteristic in industrial process is taken into account so that a dynamic fault dataset is constructed. Then, the FDA vectors are normalized by L2-norm and utilized to reduce data dimension which can learn fault patterns in feature extraction. In addition, an ensemble learning method named AdaBoost is adopted for pattern classification. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, simulation experiments based on Tennessee Eastman process are carried out and satisfactory results are obtained. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Object detection in road scenes is a crucial component of autonomous driving. Due to the significant variations in target scales, it is prone to false positives, false negatives, and some underperforming devices cannot deploy the state-of-the-art detectors. To address these issues, we propose a lightweight algorithm based on an improved YOLOv8. We simplify the model by using the FasterNet Block from FasterNet to replace the BottleNeck module in YOLOv8's backbone network C2f, reducing parameters and floating-point computations. We also enhance feature extraction by substituting RFCAConv for the downsampling standard convolution in C2f. Additionally, we introduce Wise-IoU to replace the original activation function, directing the network's focus towards anchor boxes of average *** promote effective fusion of original, shallow, and deep features, we introduce the BiFPN structure to replace YOLOv8's PAN structure. Furthermore, a small object detection layer is added to the head to handle the drastic scale variations in road scenes. Experimental results on the SODA10M dataset demonstrate that the improved YOLOv8 model achieves a 55.8% mAP@0.5 and a 35.5% mAP@0.5:0.95. The model's parameter count, size, and floating-point computations decrease by 58.3%, 57.0%, and 21.1%, respectively. Analysis of the experimental results confirms that the proposed model is effective and superior, striking a balance between detection accuracy and model lightweightness. © 2024 SPIE.

Mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) is widely employed for modeling combinatorial optimization problems. In practice, similar MILP instances with only coefficient variations are routinely solved, and machine learning (ML) algorithms are capable of capturing common patterns across these MILP instances. In this work, we combine ML with optimization and propose a novel predict-and-search framework for efficiently identifying high-quality feasible solutions. Specifically, we first utilize graph neural networks to predict the marginal probability of each variable, and then search for the best feasible solution within a properly defined ball around the predicted solution. We conduct extensive experiments on public datasets, and computational results demonstrate that our proposed framework achieves 51.1% and 9.9% performance improvements to MILP solvers SCIP and Gurobi on primal gaps, respectively. © 2023 11th International Conference on Learning Representations, ICLR 2023.
