The mine landslide risk prediction is a fundamental task for the safety management of the digital mining system, which is dependent on the analysis of the open pit mine exploitation slope stability. Such stability analysis involves a lot of local natural and human factors. Training a learning model using these factors, with the aim of discovering their relationship with the slope stability, is an intuitive way for the mine landslide risk prediction. The key issue is how to explore the complex nonlinear relations among these factors by using a small amount of high-dimensional historical slope data. Traditional factor-led methods for the issue only focus on the impacts of landslide factors, but ignore the correlations between historical slope data, which in fact contain more useful information. In this article, we propose a new mine landslide risk prediction model using knowledge graph. The gradient boosting decision tree is applied to further exploit the crossed features within the historical data, and then a landslide semantic network is constructed using knowledge graph with the consideration of correlation information between historical slope data. In this way, the model is suitable to deal with the small set of high-dimensional data, and it makes a joint use of the features within the landslide factor values and correlations between historical slope data. We conduct a set of experiments on real historical slope data from the real-world open pit mining scene. The experiment results validate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed model in predicting landslide risks with a small set of high-dimensional historical data. © 2020 IEEE.

Functional connectivity networks (FCNs), particularly those utilizing the phase lag index (PLI) method, have been instrumental in elucidating the pathological features of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) by assessing the synchrony and lag of electroencephalogram (EEG) signal waveforms. Currently, the more prevalent methods are traditional FCNs that quantify phase synchronization as scalar values and dynamic FCNs (D-FCNs) that employ sliding window approaches to capture the instantaneous variations in functional connectivity. However, these two methods merely capture the low-level functional connections between paired regions of interest (ROIs) from both the static and dynamic perspectives, and fail to reflect the high-level functional connections involving multiple ROIs. Moreover, the feature dimension of the dynamic FCN is excessively high, and there exists a phase mismatch issue between different samples, which renders it impossible to be directly applied to the classification task, and no better solution is available at present. To mitigate these issues, we proposed a comprehensive framework that includes segmenting EEG sequences based on PLI to construct dynamic FCNs;employing seventh-order central moments for feature extraction to form low-order FCNs (Lo-FCNs);and establishing high-order FCNs (Ho-FCNs) based on Pearson correlation theory derived from Lo-FCNs. We conducted classification experiments across four distinct EEG frequency bands using our proposed framework while analyzing relevant features through graph theory and brain topological mapping techniques. The experiments showed that the proposed framework has a high classification accuracy rate in the classification experiments of MDD and NC, and proved the importance of high-order features in classification experiments, indicating that they may serve as physiological markers for MDD diagnosis. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

With the development of electric vehicle technology, electric vehicles surpass fuel vehicles in terms of power performance and intelligence, and the cruising range has also increased to more than 400km with the increase of battery energy density and power consumption. However, the overall is still facing the problem of energy refueling anxiety, and the fuel vehicle refueling time is 5 minutes, and the current fast charge takes at least 60 minutes. The waiting time for charging during peak hours has also been further lengthened. Increasing the speed of energy replenishment has become an urgent need for new energy vehicle owners. The way electric vehicles are supplied with energy is fundamentally different from that of traditional cars. The battery swap mode naturally separates the vehicle and electricity, providing the possibility for novel business models (vehicle electricity separation, battery sharing). Let the battery return to its "energy carrier" use attribute, realize the sharing of batteries, create conditions for battery financialization, carry out full life cycle value management of batteries, implement battery gradient utilization, and provide a feasible path for future energy storage business. However, in battery swap mode, there are many divisions of responsibilities. For example, if the battery burns the car, should I find the main engine factory or the power exchange company/high-voltage electrical failure after the power exchange, especially when the responsibility is not clear, who will check and repair. This paper proposes a new energy vehicle monitoring platform based on blockchain technology, which can manage the whole process life cycle of new energy batteries through blockchain traceability technology. At the same time, according to the current responsibility division system, the transparent division of responsibilities is realized in combination with blockchain smart contracts.

Question Embedding on Weighted Heterogeneous Information Network for Knowledge Tracing

Knowledge Tracing (KT) aims to predict students' future performance on answering questions based on their historical exercise sequences. To alleviate the problem of data sparsity in KT, recent works have introduced auxiliary information to mine question similarity, resulting in the enhancement of question embeddings. Nonetheless, there remains a gap in developing an approach that effectively incorporates various forms of auxiliary information, including relational information (e.g., question-student, question-skill relation), relationship attributes (e.g., correctness indicating a student's performance on a question), and node attributes (e.g., student ability). To tackle this challenge, the Similarity-enhanced Question Embedding (SimQE) method for KT is proposed, with its central feature being the utilization of weighted and attributed meta-paths for extracting question similarity. To capture multi-dimensional question similarity semantics by integrating multiple relations, various meta-paths are constructed for learning question embeddings separately. These embeddings, each encoding different similarity semantics, are then fused to serve the task of KT. To capture finer-grained similarity by leveraging the relationship attributes and node attributes on the meta-paths, the biased random walk algorithm is designed. In addition, the auxiliary node generation method is proposed to capture high-order question similarity. Finally, extensive experiments conducted on six datasets demonstrate that SimQE performs the best among 10 representative question embedding methods. Furthermore, SimQE proves to be more effective in alleviating the problem of data sparsity. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

CrossFi: A Cross Domain Wi-Fi Sensing Framework Based on Siamese Network

In recent years, Wi-Fi sensing has garnered significant attention due to its numerous benefits, such as privacy protection, low cost, and penetration ability. Extensive research has been conducted in this field, focusing on areas such as gesture recognition, people identification, and fall detection. However, many data-driven methods encounter challenges related to domain shift, where the model fails to perform well in environments different from the training data. One major factor contributing to this issue is the limited availability of Wi-Fi sensing datasets, which makes models learn excessive irrelevant information and over-fit to the training set. Unfortunately, collecting large-scale Wi-Fi sensing datasets across diverse scenarios is a challenging task. To address this problem, we propose CrossFi, a siamese network-based approach that excels in both in-domain scenario and cross-domain scenario, including few-shot, zero-shot scenarios, and even works in few-shot new-class scenario where testing set contains new categories. The core component of CrossFi is a sample-similarity calculation network called CSi-Net, which improves the structure of the siamese network by using an attention mechanism to capture similarity information, instead of simply calculating the distance or cosine similarity. Based on it, we develop an extra Weight-Net that can generate a template for each class, so that our CrossFi can work in different scenarios. Experimental results demonstrate that our CrossFi achieves state-of-the-art performance across various scenarios. In gesture recognition task, our CrossFi achieves an accuracy of 98.17% in in-domain scenario, 91.72% in one-shot cross-domain scenario, 64.81% in zero-shot cross-domain scenario, and 84.75% in one-shot new-class scenario. Federated Learning (FL) is an emerging distributed machine learning technology. However, in practical applications, it frequently encounters the challenge of client resource heterogeneity. This can result in long wait times or even model training failures during the communication process of FL. To address this problem, we propose a dynamic hierarchical federated learning mechanism for financial models (DHFM-FLM). The local client adopts a dynamic model training design that leverages the property of resource heterogeneity to enhance the performance of the local model. To avoid prolonged wait times for failing clients, a dynamic communication detection design is proposed at three critical junctures. In each round, the model hierarchical reservation communication design is employed to collect models in segments, thus reducing communication congestion and preventing malicious attacks on the communication process. Experiments with heterogeneous computation and communication resources demonstrate that utilizing the DHFM-FLM boosts model performance by approximately 5-8% and reduces communication time by about 15%. Additionally, DHFM-FLM increases the success rate of the FL task by approximately 6%. © 2024 IEEE.

The rise of smart cities is directly connected to the increasing use of vehicles. The growing vehicle utilization has driven the emergence of Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs), facilitating instant information exchange among vehicles. The system provides essential information regarding road conditions, traffic patterns, and more relevant data. VANETs encompass two fundamental categories of communication exchanges, namely Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I). V2I technology facilitates the integration of cars and transportation infrastructure, enabling effective communication between vehicles and infrastructure. Nevertheless, the potential of V2I communication has various security concerns arising from prevalent security threats. Current authentication techniques encounter challenges regarding complexity, security, and privacy considerations. We designed a hash-based lightweight and anonymous authentication scheme to address the aforementioned restrictions and enhance the effectiveness of authentication in V2I architecture. This scheme effectively combines identity, password, and bio-metric to enhance resistance against impersonation, denial of service, and privileged insider attacks. The devised scheme distinguishes itself by a comparative analysis and security proofs, highlighting its superior capability in guaranteeing secure authentication in V2I communication. The comprehensive security analysis conducted formally and informally showcases the robustness of the proposed solution against several threats. The performance evaluation results show that our scheme demonstrates a decrease in the computational cost of 51.40% approximately and a reduction in communication overhead of around 22.57%. These results establish the efficiency and scalability of the proposed scheme as a viable solution for V2I architecture. © 2000-2011 IEEE.

Analysis of converting -circuit into -circuit

A $\mathfrak{C^{*}}$ -circuit, which was proposed in Asiacypt 2022 by Huang and Sun (Advances in cryptology – ASIACRYPT 2022, pp. 614–644, 2022), can directly perform calculations with the existing quantum states, thereby reducing the use of quantum resources in quantum logic synthesis. We theoretically prove how to convert a $\mathfrak{C^{0}}$ -circuit into the corresponding $\mathfrak{C^{*}}$ -circuit through two lemmas and one theorem. The first lemma proves the interchangeability of CNOT gates and NOT gates by using the equivalence of quantum circuits. The second lemma proves that adding CNOT gates to the front of a quantum circuit whose initial states are all $|0\rangle $ s will not change the output states of the circuit. The theorem is used to describe what kind of $\mathfrak{C^{0}}$ -circuit can be transformed into $\mathfrak{C^{*}}$ -circuit, and the correctness of this transformation is proved. Our work will provide a theoretical basis for converting $\mathfrak{C^{0}}$ -circuit to $\mathfrak{C^{*}}$ -circuit. Then applying the theoretical analysis results to the multiplication over $\text{GF}(2^{8})$ , the constructed quantum circuit needs 27 Toffoli gates and 118 CNOT gates, which is 15 fewer Toffoli gates and 43 CNOT gates than the current best result. This shows that the method of constructing quantum circuits by using the conversion of $\mathfrak{C^{0}}$ -circuit to $\mathfrak{C^{*}}$ -circuit is very efficient.

In SP ARQL federated query system, cardinality estimation is one of the most critical steps that affect query performance. In recent years, a large number of federated query cardinality estimation methods have been produced, which is particularly important for evaluating the performance of different methods. However, the existing research shows that there is no unified test benchmark when evaluating cardinality estimation methods, and the commonly used precision index Q-error has also been proved to be unable to generate the optimal query plan. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes a test benchmark (FQCEB) for SP ARQL federated query cardinality estimation. FQCEB consists of three components: benchmark data set, query generator and evaluation index, including 32 templates created manually, 1600 unique queries and more than 200K query subplans. The experimental results show that when the performance of radix estimation method is evaluated by using the test benchmark in this paper, it shows the applicability of the benchmark to various methods, and the P-error evaluation index in the benchmark shows the correlation with the query running time, and the correlation coefficient is as high as 85%, which proves that P-error is more suitable for evaluating the actual performance of radix estimation method than Q-error.

The fusion of multimodal medical data is crucial for helping doctors make accurate treatment decisions. For example, combining Computed Tomography Pulmonary Angiography (CTPA) with Electronic Health Records (EHR) can significantly improve the accuracy of Pulmonary Embolism (PE) detection, thereby increasing patient survival rates. Although multimodal learning has advantages in PE diagnosis, the heterogeneity of multimodal data poses a significant challenge to accurate diagnosis. The natural semantic and structural differences between data modalities make it difficult to effectively integrate their information. In addition, within a single modality, the existence of redundant and irrelevant information introduces unnecessary variability, making the data more complex, and making stable diagnosis challenging. To address these issues, we propose a new framework called CCLNet, which includes a contrastive learning component for addressing inter-modality heterogeneity and a causal learning component for handling intra-modality heterogeneity. Specifically, we achieve precise alignment between visual and tabular modalities by using global-level information to soften labels during contrastive learning. In addition, by using causal intervention methods to eliminate the influence of heterogeneous factors within the modality, we can accurately reveal the causal relationship between features and targets, thereby improving the accuracy and stability of the model. Experimental results demonstrate that our method performs excellently, achieving the best results. Our code is available at https://***/LeavingStarW/CLPE. © 2024 IEEE.
