Rice sheath blight is one of the main diseases of rice, seriously affecting the safety of rice production. This study integrates multisource data such as meteorological, spectral, and microwave data, and combines various species distribution models (SDMs) to establish a habitat suitability analysis model for rice sheath blight, thus evaluating the suitability of habitats for sheath blight. The results indicate that integrating multiple Species Distribution Models (SDMs) into an aggregative model yielded AUC values of 0.959 and 0.963 for the years 2019 and 2020 respectively. The True Skill Statistics (TSS) were 0.817 and 0.831 respectively. The overall habitat suitability for rice sheath blight in 2019 was slightly higher than that in 2020. This research provides a method for evaluating the habitat suitability of rice sheath blight, thereby offering support for the scientific prevention and control of crop diseases. © 2024 SPIE.

Aim: In order to realize the position of acupoints on the back of humans, a new acupoints positioning approach combined with machine vision technology is proposed in this paper. Background: The acupuncture point (acupoint) is an important reference in the treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). However, the traditional acupoints positioning method mainly depends on manpower, which has the disadvantages of low efficiency and relying on practical experience heavily. Objective: In order to realize the position of acupoints on the back of humans, a new acupoints positioning approach combined with machine vision technology is proposed in this paper. Methods: Firstly, the distribution of acupoints on the back of humans are determined according to the meridian theory, and the coordinate of each acupoint are established based on the approach of fingercun measurement, after review of previous literature and patents. Secondly, the principle of the proposed acupoints positioning method is introduced based on the skeleton model of humans. Finally, the effec-tiveness of the proposed approach is validated by experimental testing. Results: The value of emax is around 3.5mm and those of emae and erms are smaller than 0.25mm and 0.45mm, respectively. Conclusion: The experimental results prove that the proposed approach possesses the capability of good adaptive capability and high. © 2023 Bentham science Publishers.

Intellectual property transactions have shown a strong growth momentum in recent years, but the patent transaction market has been plagued by the matching degree of consumers and sellers, resulting in frequent problems such as low patent transformation efficiency and poor transaction quality. This paper proposes a method of recommending patents to consumers by experts to improve the environment of patent transactions. Through the analysis of the past transaction information of the patent, the effective path information of the target is extracted. The graph neural network is used to describe the characteristics and semantics among experts, patents and consumers, and then capture the potential weight among them through the common attention mechanism, and then dynamically integrate them to predict the occurrence of recommendation behavior. The paper makes reasonable use of social information and expert information in the transaction, which significantly improves the rationality and accuracy of expert recommendation. © 2023 IEEE.

The Normalized cut (NCut) problem is a fundamental and yet notoriously difficult one in the unsupervised clustering field. Because the NCut problem is fractionally structured, the fractional programming (FP) based approach has worked its way into a new frontier. However, the conventional FP techniques are insufficient: the classic Dinkelbach's transform can only deal with a single ratio and hence is limited to the two-class clustering, while the state-of-the-art quadratic transform accounts for multiple ratios but fails to convert the NCut problem to a tractable form. This work advocates a novel extension of the quadratic transform to the multidimensional ratio case, thereby recasting the fractional 0-1 NCut problem into a bipartite matching problem—which can be readily solved in an iterative manner. Furthermore, we explore the connection between the proposed multidimensional FP method and the minorization-maximization theory to verify the convergence.

Arbitrary-scale super-resolution (ASSR) aims to learn a single model for image super-resolution at arbitrary magnifying scales. Existing ASSR networks typically comprise an off-the-shelf scale-agnostic feature extractor and an arbitrary scale upsampler. These feature extractors often use fixed network architectures to address different ASSR inference tasks, each of which is characterized by an input image and an upsampling scale. However, this overlooks the difficulty variance of super-resolution on different inference scenarios, where simple images or small SR scales could be resolved with less computational effort than difficult images or large SR scales. To tackle this difficulty variability, in this paper, we propose a Task-Aware Dynamic Transformer (TADT) as an input-adaptive feature extractor for efficient image ASSR. Our TADT consists of a multi-scale feature extraction backbone built upon groups of Multi-Scale Transformer Blocks (MSTBs) and a Task-Aware Routing Controller (TARC). The TARC predicts the inference paths within feature extraction backbone, specifically selecting MSTBs based on the input images and SR scales. The prediction of inference path is guided by a new loss function to trade-off the SR accuracy and efficiency. Experiments demonstrate that, when working with three popular arbitrary-scale upsamplers, our TADT achieves state-of-the-art ASSR performance when compared with mainstream feature extractors, but with relatively fewer computational costs. Understanding genes and their underlying mechanisms is critical in deciphering how antimicrobial-resistant (AMR) bacteria withstand detrimental effects of antibiotic drugs. At the same time the genes related to AMR phenotypes may also serve as biomarkers for predicting whether a microbial strain is resistant to certain antibiotic drugs. We developed a Cross-Validated Feature Selection (CVFS) approach for robustly selecting the most parsimonious gene sets for predicting AMR activities from bacterial pan-genomes. The core idea behind the CVFS approach is interrogating features among non-overlapping sub-parts of the datasets to ensure the representativeness of the features. By randomly splitting the dataset into disjoint sub-parts, conducting feature selection within each sub-part, and intersecting the features shared by all sub-parts, the CVFS approach is able to achieve the goal of extracting the most representative features for yielding satisfactory AMR activity prediction accuracy. By testing this idea on bacterial pan-genome datasets, we showed that this approach was able to extract the most succinct feature sets that predicted AMR activities very well, indicating the potential of these genes as AMR biomarkers. The functional analysis demonstrated that the CVFS approach was able to extract both known AMR genes and novel ones, suggesting the capabilities of the algorithm in selecting relevant features and highlighting the potential of the novel genes in expanding the antimicrobial resistance gene databases. © 2022 The Author(s)

Automatic speech verification (ASV) authenticates individuals based on distinct vocal patterns, playing a pivotal role in many applications such as voice-based unlocking systems for devices. The ASV system comprises three stages: training, registration, and validation. The model refines using voice data in training, extracts vocal features in registration, and contrasts these with speech patterns in validation. Modern ASV models, primarily grounded in DNN architectures, require extensive data for training. Federated learning (FL) fosters model-sharing across multiple clients while ensuring data privacy. Due to its open architecture, FL is vulnerable to backdoor attacks. However, training a stealthy backdoor attack in FL presents challenges, including diminished attack generalization owing to data heterogeneity, and conspicuous triggers that render them easily detectable. In this paper, we propose a Federated Stealthy Backdoor Attack method ($FedSBA$). FedSBA aims to improve the attack model’s generalization, enhance its persistence, and elude anomaly detection under the heterogeneous data distribution. FedSBA constructs an attack model based on a personalized transformer and encompasses a stealthy trigger. Moreover, we also propose a defensive strategy that utilizes an adaptive weight aggregation scheme. The stealthiness and effectiveness of FedSBA are demonstrated by exhibiting superior performance in comparison to previous works.

Electroencephalography (EEG) related research faces a significant challenge of subject independence due to the variation in brain signals and responses among individuals. While deep learning models hold promise in addressing this challenge, their effectiveness depends on large datasets for training and generalization across participants. To overcome this limitation, we propose a solution to the above limitation by increasing the size and quality of training data for subject-independent auditory attention decoding (AAD) using EEG with deep learning. Specifically, our method employs a Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Network (WGAN) to generate synthetic data, with Pearson correlation filtering the most realistic samples. We evaluated this method on a publicly available dataset of selective auditory attention experiments and showed superior performance in subject-independent AAD performance. The mixed training set, consisting of both real and artificial data generated by the WGAN+Pearson Correlation Coefficient, demonstrated approximately 4% improvement in AAD accuracy for a 1-second window. These results demonstrate that deep learning remains a viable approach to overcoming data scarcity in subject-independent AAD tasks based on EEG. Moreover, the proposed method has the potential to improve the generalization and reliability of EEG classification tasks. © 2023 IEEE.

Generative models have attracted considerable attention for speech separation tasks, and among these, diffusion-based methods are being explored. Despite the notable success of diffusion techniques in generation tasks, their adaptation to speech separation has encountered challenges, notably slow convergence and suboptimal separation outcomes. To address these issues and enhance the efficacy of diffusion-based speech separation, we introduce EDSep, a novel single-channel method grounded in score matching via stochastic differential equation (SDE). This method enhances generative modeling for speech source separation by optimizing training and sampling efficiency. Specifically, a novel denoiser function is proposed to approximate data distributions, which obtains ideal denoiser outputs. Additionally, a stochastic sampler is carefully designed to resolve the reverse SDE during the sampling process, gradually separating speech from mixtures. Extensive experiments on databases such as WSJ0-2mix, LRS2-2mix, and VoxCeleb2-2mix demonstrate our proposed method's superior performance over existing diffusion and discriminative models, validating its efficacy. © 2025 IEEE.

With the advancement of graph representation learning, self-supervised graph contrastive learning (GCL) has emerged as a key technique in the field. In GCL, positive and negative samples are generated through data augmentation. While recent works have introduced model-based methods to enhance positive graph augmentations, they often overlook the importance of negative samples, relying instead on rule-based methods that can fail to capture meaningful graph patterns. To address this issue, we propose a novel model-based adversarial contrastive graph augmentation (ACGA) method that automatically generates both positive graph samples with minimal sufficient information and hard negative graph samples. Additionally, we provide a theoretical framework to analyze the process of positive and negative graph augmentation in self-supervised GCL. We evaluate our ACGA method through extensive experiments on representative benchmark datasets, and the results demonstrate that ACGA outperforms state-of-the-art baselines.
