Satellite high aerial platform terrestrial integrated networks have become the hot topic these years, which have been regarded as the major part of the intelligence of things for future networks. During this work, we investigate the secrecy performance for rate-splitting multiple access-assisted satellite high aerial platform terrestrial integrated networks. Besides, imperfect hardware and channel estimation errors are considered in the secrecy networks. Moreover, to enhance the energy utilization efficiency, rate-splitting multiple access scheme is utilized into the considered network, which is prior to that of the non-orthogonal multiple access scheme. What's more, to enhance the satellite transmission, multiple high aerial platforms are used to forward the transmission along with multiple eavesdroppers. In addition, the direct transmission link is not considered in the secrecy networks due to the heavy fading and obstacles. Relied on the former considerations, the exact and asymptotic analysis for the secrecy performance is further obtained to confirm the rightness of the analysis. Instant messaging (IM) is becoming an increasingly important component of our work. However, little is known regarding the association between employees' persistent receipt of job-related instant messages after work and their intention to quit. This is one of the early investigations of this relationship. The purpose of this study is to determine how IM applications, such as WeChat and QQ, are used outside of work hours in China, as well as its link to IM-related pressure, work-home conflict, and intention to quit the organisation. The results should shed light on whether it is prudent for businesses to communicate with their employees via IM after working hours. The study's model comprises four primary constructs: perceived abusive use of IM after work, IM-related pressure, work-home conflict, and intention to quit. A questionnaire containing the above constructs was developed. The frequency and average time of receiving information were used to quantify abusive use of IM after work. In contrast, IM-related pressure, work-home conflict, and intention to quit were measured based on validated measurement items from literature and adjusted according to this study's focus. A total of 42 valid responses were obtained from the survey and were used for data analysis. A partial least squares structural equation modelling approach was employed for parameter estimation and model testing using SmartPLS. The empirical results showed that perceived abusive use of IM after work influenced work-home conflict via IM-related pressure. However, there was no significant relationship between work-home conflict and intention to quit. © 2022 IEEE.

As an important carrier and component of industrial clusters, industrial districts are an important way for regional economic growth, and the economic effects of industrial districts have attracted more and more attention. Therefore, how to identify high-quality districts with good development trends and obvious competitive advantages from a large amount of district information has become an increasingly important topic. This article takes industrial and intelligent manufacturing districts as an example and proposes an innovative industrial and intelligent manufacturing zone rating method that combines rule-based modeling, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) models. Collect structured and unstructured data, including real-time operational data, historical records, market trends, and expert opinions, from multiple sources through big data technology. Apply rule-based models and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to prioritize and weight various factors that affect regional performance, and obtain district ratings; And use the Kmeans method for clustering to obtain district level classification. Finally, the paper combines the outputs of the rule-based models, AHP, and AI models to create an overall rating system. This system continuously monitors district performance, providing accurate and comprehensive ratings to support decision-making in industry and government.

Applying deep reinforcement learning (DRL) to solve quantum control problems has become a popular research direction. However, the exploration capability and reward design for the learning agent, which usually affect the DRL's application performance, has not been sufficiently emphasized. In this article, we propose a particle-assisted DRL (PDRL) method to address the above concern by enhancing exploration capabilities and designing appropriate reward functions for efficient quantum state manipulation. In PDRL, each episode in the quantum learning process is characterized by three kinds of events, i.e., unidentifiable, identifiable, and successful events. To improve exploration, exploration particles and feedback particles are employed in the early learning phase when episodes end in identifiable and successful events, respectively. To assign rewards, three event-based reward functions are provided for the DRL's agent, exploration particles and feedback particles, respectively. Numerical results on single-qubit, two-qubit, and many-qubit systems validate the effectiveness of PDRL. Comparative results with existing DRL methods demonstrate the superior performance of PDRL for quantum state manipulation. © 1997-2012 IEEE.

Activity detection is an important task in the next generation grant-free multiple access. While there are a number of existing algorithms designed for this purpose, they mostly require precise information about the network, such as large-scale fading coefficients, small-scale fading channel statistics, noise variance at the access points, and user activity probability. Acquiring these information would take a significant overhead and their estimated values might not be accurate. This problem is even more severe in cell-free networks as there are many of these parameters to be acquired. Therefore, this paper sets out to investigate the activity detection problem without the above-mentioned information. In order to handle so many unknown parameters, this paper employs the Bayesian approach, where the unknown variables are endowed with prior distributions which effectively act as regularizations. Together with the likelihood function, a maximum a posteriori (MAP) estimator and a variational inference algorithm are derived. Extensive simulations demonstrate that the proposed methods, even without the knowledge of these system parameters, perform better than existing state-of-the-art methods, such as covariance-based and approximate message passing *** Codes 68T01 Copyright © 2024, The Authors. We consider ergodic weighted sum rate (WSR) maximization in a massive multi-user multiple-input multiple-output system. Existing solutions iteratively minimize the average WSR based on all the historical information, and use bisection search to satisfy the power constraint at each iteration, resulting in both high storage burden and high computational complexity. In contrast, we propose an efficient stochastic proximal weighted minimum mean-square error (SPWMMSE) algorithm, which updates the precoder only based on the current single channel realization, without checking the power constraint at each iteration. Furthermore, we propose a novel proximal term to incorporate all the previous channel and surrogate function information in precoder updates. Our analysis shows that SPWMMSE converges to the stationary point of the original ergodic WSR maximization problem almost surely. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of SPWMMSE over the current best alternatives.

The implementation of the partitioned edge learning (PARTEL) framework in practical fast-fading wireless systems with time-varying channels is investigated in this paper. By exploiting the benefit of only training and transmitting a light-size sub-model on devices, PARTEL enjoys both enhanced computation and communication efficiency compared to federated edge learning framework where each device needs to train and transmit all model parameters. In this work, we aim at further enhancing the learning efficiency via minimizing the training latency of each training round in practical fast fading channels, where each round includes multiple channel time-coherence time durations. The challenges arise from the unknown channel state information (CSI) of future durations and the coupling between load balancing and bandwidth allocation among devices. To this end, an equivalent Markov decision process (MDP) problem is derived, where each decision step corresponds to one channel coherence-time duration. The learning load balancing is first determined based on an existing design for static channels by using the expected channel gains. Then, the bandwidth allocation for uploading the local sub-model updates in each duration is sequentially determined by the proposed optimization algorithm. The spectrum efficiency is enhanced since the bandwidth is adaptively allocated to all devices according to their communication and computation statuses in each coherence-time duration. Finally, extensive simulations are conducted to show the superiority of our proposed algorithms over the existing benchmarks. Specifically, the proposed algorithm can reduce the one-round latency by up to 25.51% for the bandwidth of 70 MHz. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

PIAVE: A Pose-Invariant Audio-Visual Speaker Extraction Network

It is common in everyday spoken communication that we look at the turning head of a talker to listen to his/her voice. Humans see the talker to listen better, so do machines. However, previous studies on audio-visual speaker extraction have not effectively handled the varying talking face. This paper studies how to take full advantage of the varying talking face. We propose a Pose-Invariant Audio-Visual Speaker Extraction Network (PIAVE) that incorporates an additional pose-invariant view to improve audio-visual speaker extraction. Specifically, we generate the pose-invariant view from each original pose orientation, which enables the model to receive a consistent frontal view of the talker regardless of his/her head pose, therefore, forming a multi-view visual input for the speaker. Experiments on the multi-view MEAD and in-the-wild LRS3 dataset demonstrate that PIAVE outperforms the state-of-the-art and is more robust to pose variations. © 2023, CC BY.

HPE Transformer: Learning to Optimize Multi-Group Multicast Beamforming Under Nonconvex QoS Constraints

This paper studies the quality-of-service (QoS) constrained multi-group multicast beamforming design problem, where each multicast group is composed of a number of users requiring the same content. Due to the nonconvex QoS constraints, this problem is nonconvex and NP-hard. While existing optimization-based iterative algorithms can obtain a suboptimal solution, their iterative nature results in large computational complexity and delay. To facilitate real-time implementations, this paper proposes a deep learning-based approach, which consists of a beamforming structure assisted problem transformation and a customized neural network architecture named hierarchical permutation equivariance (HPE) transformer. The proposed HPE transformer is proved to be permutation equivariant with respect to the users within each multicast group, and also permutation equivariant with respect to different multicast groups. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed HPE transformer outperforms state-of-the-art optimization-based and deep learning-based approaches for multi-group multicast beamforming design in terms of the total transmit power, the constraint violation, and the computational time. In addition, the proposed HPE transformer achieves pretty good generalization performance on different numbers of users, different numbers of multicast groups, and different signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio targets.
