SECP-AKE: Secure and efficient certificateless-password-based authenticated key exchange protocol for smart healthcare systems

Due to the importance and sensitivity of medical data, the security protection and privacy preservation of the Healthcare Internet of Things (IoT) are current research hotspots. However, existing research schemes still suffer from incomplete security properties, imperfect authentication mechanisms, and inadequate privacy preservation. Therefore, this paper presents SECP-AKE, a secure and efficient certificateless-password-based authenticated key exchange protocol for IoT-based smart healthcare, which enables batch authentication, resists physical attacks, and provides strong anonymity. Specifically, using certificateless cryptography, the SECP-AKE protocol enables batch authentication of authorized users and devices while also resolving the key escrow problem. In particular, the SECP-AKE protocol incorporates Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) to resist physical attacks, thus enhancing device security and ensuring reliable medical service delivery. Additionally, the design of a pseudonym update mechanism can achieve user unlinkability, thereby providing enhanced privacy preservation. The results from both formal verification using SVO logic and informal security analyses demonstrate that the SECP-AKE protocol is secure and offers more comprehensive security properties. Meanwhile, the use of a well-known automated security verification tool Scyther further evaluates the protocol’s security reliability. Ultimately, comparative experiments on communication overhead and computational overhead demonstrate that the SECP-AKE protocol is efficient and feasible compared to state-of-the-art existing works.

Purposed to collect and store human physiological data, WBANs as a telemedicine system play a significant role in sensor networks. The complex network environment presents a formidable challenge to the stability of the system and the security of the database. The traditional centralized architecture is to store the registration data of the sensor node and the patient's physiological data in the hub node. When the hub node is subjected to Denial of Service attacks (DoS) and Distributed Denial of Service attacks (DDoS), there will be a single point of failure, so that the sensor node cannot establish a communication connection with the hub node. In this paper, a cloud server layer architecture based on blockchain technology is proposed for WBNAs to ensure system stability and patient data security. Meanwhile, Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (CP-ABE) scheme is used to ensure patient physiological data safety.

ML-as-a-service (MLaaS) becomes increasingly popular and revolutionizes the lives of people. A natural requirement for MLaaS is, however, to provide highly accurate prediction services. To achieve this, current MLaaS systems integrate and combine multiple well-trained models in their services. Yet, in reality, there is no easy way for MLaaS providers, especially for startups, to collect sufficiently well-trained models from individual developers, due to the lack of incentives. In this paper, we aim to fill this gap by building up a model marketplace, called as Golden Grain, to facilitate model sharing, which enforces the fair model-money swapping process between individual developers and MLaaS providers. Specifically, we deploy the swapping process on the blockchain, and further introduce a blockchain-empowered model benchmarking process for transparently determining the model prices according to their authentic performances, so as to motivate the faithful contributions of well-trained models. Especially, to ease the blockchain overhead for model benchmarking, our marketplace carefully offloads the heavy computation and designs a secure off-chain on-chain interaction protocol based on a trusted execution environment (TEE), for ensuring both the integrity and authenticity of benchmarking. We implement a prototype of our Golden Grain on the Ethereum blockchain, and conduct extensive experiments using standard benchmark datasets to demonstrate the practically affordable performance of our design. © 2020, CC BY.

Modern large-scale cloud platforms require live migration technique on Docker containers with stateful workload to support load balancing, host maintenance, and Quality of Service (QoS) improvement. Efficient and scalable Docker live migration is expected to guarantee the component-integrity (image, runtime, and management context) with negligible downtime. In this paper, we present a highly efficient live migration system called Sledge, which ensures the component-integrity by integrating both images and management context during runtime migration. The key insight is that the layered image can be leveraged to reduce the migration overhead, and appropriately selective migration of management context will effectively improve QoS with negligible downtime. To achieve good scalability, a lightweight container registry mechanism for end-to-end image migration is designed to avoid the redundant layers transmission. In addition, a dynamic context loading scheme is proposed to precisely load the management context into the running daemon, which can significantly reduce downtime. Experiments show that, compared with the state-of-the-art, Sledge reduces 57% of total migration time, 55% of image migration time, and 70% downtime.

In recent years, block chain has gradually become a hot spot of technological innovation, and the common operation of bitcoin wallets can also leak some user information, which has been exploited in the past. Combining different outputs into a single transaction input by wallets is a common form of privacy leakage. This article proposes a new type of distributed, decentralized, and trustless technical solution. Firstly, the design and implementation of the blockchain are studied from a technical perspective. Then, the security of the blockchain is analyzed from both the blockchain itself and the application. Finally, the blockchain security system and traditional centralized security system are compared from the perspective of security architecture. This article introduces a new distributed data storage technology, which has led to changes in system and program design concepts, and may subvert the current organization model of business society.

With the popularity of intelligent terminal, fog computing as a new generation of internet technology can integrate the computing power of terminals and improve the effective utilization of social resources. At the same time, more and more data owners store ciphertext in the network. Hence, the advent of searchable encryption (SE) scheme enables searchers to search ciphertext without downloading all of it. However, the existing SE scheme cannot identify the matching degree of keywords and ciphertext. Besides, these schemes can only provide one or two search mechanism. In this paper, we propose a ciphertext-policy attribute-based weighted keyword searchable encryption scheme (ABWKS-MSM) in fog computing in order to solve the matching degree issue and provide multi-search mechanism, so that it becomes more friendly to fog computing applications. Furthermore, the proposed weighted keyword model can reduce the computational and storage cost. Finally, the performance analysis is also given, which proves that our scheme is efficient and feasible in fog computing.

With the improvement of public security awareness, it is of great value to establish an intelligent crowd screening video early warning system for community security. The method is to use artificial intelligence and big data technology to analyze the facial features of past people through video data in video surveillance. In this paper, the authors analyze the design of intelligent community security system based on visual tracking and large data natural language processing technology. Through JMF technology and video acquisition card, the signal can be transmitted from the matrix machine to the server of the system. In the process of transmission, we also need to use multi-threading technology and double buffer technology to compress video, which can improve the compression efficiency and reduce the CPU usage time. The information module is mainly responsible for receiving and playing video. This module needs JAVA technology which can receive video. Once the client requests monitoring, the client can immediately send relevant operation instructions to the server, and the server will return the corresponding video stream in time. Resource consumption prediction and dynamic resource provision based on historical consumption are common methods to improve cluster resource utilization, however they have to face the challenge of fluctuation in resource consumption for accurate prediction. We propose PDRM, an efficient resource management scheme based on resource consumption probability distribution for batch workloads to deal with this dilemma. Based on the common sense that the same type of tasks have similar resource consumption on the same node, we get the resource consumption probability distribution of each type of task to describe the fluctuations in its resource consumption. Based on the resource consumption distribution function, we can allocate resources precisely for tasks. Experimental results demonstrate that PDRM achieves good performance for various application in the heterogeneous cluster. PDRM can effectively improve resource utilization and reduce job completion time. © 2019, IFIP International Federation for Information Processing.

We present our optical observations and multi-wavelength analysis of the GRB 200613A detected by Fermi satellite. Time-resolved spectral analysis of the prompt γ-ray emission was conducted utilizing the Bayesian block method to determine statistically optimal time bins. Based on the Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC), the data generally favor the Band+Blackbody (short as BB) model. We speculate that the main Band component comes from the Blandford-Znajek mechanism, while the additional BB component comes from the neutrino annihilation process. The BB component becomes significant for a low-spin, high-accretion rate black hole central engine, as evidenced by our model comparison with the data. The afterglow light curve exhibits typical power-law decay, and its behavior can be explained by the collision between the ejecta and constant interstellar medium (ISM). Model fitting yields the following parameters: EK,iso = (2.04+11.8-1.50) × 1053 erg, Γ0 = 354+578-217, p = 2.09+0.02-0.03, n18 = (2.04+9.71-1.87)×102 cm-3, θj = 24.0-5.54+6.50 degree, ϵe = 1.66+4.09-1.39)×10-1 and ϵB = (7.76+48.5-5.9)×10-6. In addition, we employed the public Python package Prospector perform a spectral energy distribution (SED) modeling of the host galaxy. The results suggest that the host galaxy is a massive galaxy (log(M∗/M☉) = 11.75-0.09+0.10) with moderate star formation rate (SFR = 22.58+13.63-7.22 M☉/yr). This SFR is consistent with the SFR of ∼ 34.2M☉ yr-1 derived from the [OII] emission line in the observed spectrum. © 2024, CC0.
