The intensified concerns arising from the widespread adoption of deep learning have led to increased scrutiny of intellectual property protection in DNN models. Existing audio watermarking techniques, predominantly based on traditional signal processing methods, struggle to balance robustness, imperceptibility, and defense resistance in the face of evolving adversarial attacks. These limitations underscore the urgent need for more effective watermarking solutions in the audio domain. In this paper, we propose a dynamic audio watermarking framework that introduces an optimization-based approach to attach robust and adaptable triggers at arbitrary positions within audio signals, and innovatively integrates boundary sample selection driven by forgetting events and an adaptive watermark trigger embedding technique based on the SNR. Comprehensive experimental results reveal that our scheme preserves high model performance while maintaining remarkable stealthiness and robustness, offering a secure and reliable solution for safeguarding intellectual property in the audio domain and advancing the field of DNN watermarking.

The 3D generative adversarial network (GAN) inversion converts an image into 3D representation to attain high-fidelity reconstruction and facilitate realistic image manipulation within the 3D latent space. However, previous approaches face challenges regarding the trade-off between the reconstruction ability and editability. That is, reversing a real-world image to a low-dimensional latent code would inevitably lead to information loss, and achieving a near-perfect reconstruction using high-rate triplane representation often limits the ability to manipulate the image freely in the latent space. To address these issues, we propose a novel latent conditioning encoder-based framework with the alignment between the low-dimensional latent and high-dimensional triplane. A non-semantic guided editing strategy bridges the intrinsic relation between the latent condition and triplane generation, making it possible to edit the high-dimensional representation by latent manipulation. As a result, our method can achieve high-fidelity reconstruction and editing simultaneously by directly controlling the latent code. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach excels in reconstruction and editing quality compared to previous 3D inversion methods. Furthermore, our method can also edit even real faces with large poses and out-of-domain cases.

COMMITSHIELD: Tracking Vulnerability Introduction and Fix in Version Control systems

Version control systems are commonly used to manage open-source software, in which each commit may introduce new vulnerabilities or fix existing ones. Researchers have developed various tools for detecting vulnerabilities in code commits, but their performance is limited by factors such as neglecting descriptive data and challenges in accurately identifying vulnerability introductions. To overcome these limitations, we propose COMMITSHIELD, which combines the code analysis capabilities of static analysis tools with the natural language and code understanding capabilities of large language models (LLMs) to enhance the accuracy of vulnerability introduction and fix detection by generating precise descriptions and obtaining rich patch contexts. We evaluate COMMITSHIELD using the newly constructed vulnerability fix dataset, CommitVulFix, and a cleaned vulnerability introduction dataset. Experimental results indicate that COMMITSHIELD improves recall by 74%-77% over state-of-the-art methods in the vulnerability fix detection task, and its F1-score improves by 15%-27% in the vulnerability introduction detection task. 6G-empowered Intelligent Transportation systems (ITS) generate large amounts of data through millions of devices and sensors at the terminal and network edge. Edge intelligence advances the frontier of data-driven artificial intelligence (AI) to the network edge, which enables AI applications to better utilize edge data. Broader connectivity, higher device density, and stronger data exchange present challenges for reliable device communication and privacy data protection in 6G-empowered ITS. To address these challenges, this paper proposes an energy-efficient and privacy-preserving edge intelligence framework named EP-EI. EP-EI deploys a deep reinforcement learning-based cluster head selection model at the edge to ensure energy-efficient communication for terminal devices. Meanwhile, EP-EI designs a privacy-aware hierarchical computing framework for terminal-edge-cloud to prevent privacy leakage. Furthermore, the application scenarios, challenges, and future directions of EP-EI are discussed. Finally, simulation experiments in a specific intelligent transportation case study demonstrate that EP-EI can provide energy-efficient and privacy-protecting services. © 2025 IEEE.

In recent years, research has illuminated the potency of implicit data processing in enhancing user preferences. Nevertheless, barriers remain in breaking through the constraints of implicit information. This study aims to bridge this gap by firstly constructing a triangular stable node network model, tailored to manage implicit information with precision. Recognizing the challenge of pinpointing novel structures within large-scale graphs, we propose SLTSNN-a triangular stable node network based on self-supervised learning for personalized prediction. SLTSNN innovates by maximizing mutual information between graph-level and patch-level representations, while augmenting graph representations through extended enhanced representations. Additionally, it incorporates triangular data associations and introduces a triangular allocation attention network, which emphasizes strongly correlated preference features among similar users. Furthermore, SLTSNN employs contrastive learning to maximize mutual information between graph vectors and hidden representations, distinguishing between high-order global and local representations. The model's effectiveness in enhancing user preferences and capturing new graph structures is evidenced by its performance on hit rate and normalized discounted cumulative gain metrics across three datasets. © 2025 IEEE.

The role of testosterone in modulating positive and negative empathy in social interactions

Empathy encompasses both negative (e.g., distress) and positive (e.g., shared joy) dimensions, yet the effects of testosterone on positive empathy and its modulation of intrinsic neural dynamics remain underexplored. This double-blind, placebo-controlled study examined how testosterone influences neural sensitivity to empathy within social inclusion and exclusion contexts, as well as its impact on resting-state EEG microstates—millisecond-scale transient patterns of brain activity. Healthy male participants received either testosterone or placebo before completing resting-state EEG recordings and an empathy task featuring social scenarios. While self-reported empathy ratings remained unchanged, testosterone amplified neurophysiological responses: it enhanced anterior N2 amplitude (250–310 ms), associated with negative empathy toward social exclusion, and increased posterior α-event-related desynchronization (8.28–10 Hz;1226–1901 ms), linked to positive empathy during social inclusion. These findings suggest that testosterone enhances neural responsiveness to both threatening and affiliative social cues, reinforcing its role in adaptive social vigilance. Resting-state EEG microstate analysis further revealed that testosterone prolonged the temporal dominance of microstate E—a centro-parietal activity pattern associated with interoceptive awareness and emotional processing. Notably, these microstate E changes predicted increased emotional empathy across both positive and negative contexts. Together, our findings suggest that testosterone indirectly enhances empathy-related responsiveness by amplifying baseline interoceptive sensitivity to socially salient stimuli. These dual effects—enhanced intrinsic interoceptive processing and heightened neural reactivity to social cues—position testosterone as a key neuromodulator of context-adaptive social perception. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)-powered 5G/6G networks integrated with rechargeable wireless sensor networks (RWSNs) offer promising solutions for extending system lifetime, collecting data, and providing computing services and power to sensor nodes (SNs). UAVs offer significant advantages, including exceptional mobility, cost-effective deployment, and the ability to be easily reprogrammed for a wide range of missions. However, the limited onboard power capacity of UAVs, coupled with the lack of dynamic and intelligent charging station (CS) management and inefficient path planning, can lead to SN failure in dynamic mobile environments. To address these challenges, we propose an energy-efficient laser-charged UAV (LCU)-enabled RWSN environment, wherein UAVs, powered by laser beams from ground-based stations, provide services, collect data, and transfer energy to SNs. We formulate a joint optimization problem involving power allocation, dynamic charging strategy (DCS), and path planning to minimize task completion time and sensor node death time. Given the NP-hard nature of the problem, we employ a stochastic game model based on a Markov decision process (MDP) for its solution. To solve this problem, we propose a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) based algorithm that enables real-time charging scheduling decisions while optimizing network performance. We introduce a multi-agent double deep Q-network (MA-DDQN) model to determine the optimal trajectories for all UAVs in large and complex environments. Simulation results demonstrate that the MA-DDQN approach outperforms state-of-the-art techniques, showing significant improvements in terms of average delay, energy consumption, and task completion time. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Hybrid followee recommendation in microblogging systems

Followee recommendation plays an important role in information sharing over microblogging platforms. Existing followee recommendation schemes adopt either content relevance or social information for followee ranking, suffering poor performance. Based on the observation that microblogging systems have dual roles of social network and news media platform, we propose a novel followee recommendation scheme that takes into account the information sources of both tweet contents and the social structures. We set up a linear weighted model to combine the two factors and further design a simulated annealing algorithm to automatically assign the weights of both factors in order to achieve an optimized combination of them. We conduct comprehensive experiments on real-world datasets collected from Sina Weibo, the largest microblogging system in China. The results demonstrate that our scheme provides a much more accurate followee recommendation for a user compared to existing schemes.

Emotion recognition in conversation (ERC) aims at accurately identifying emotional states expressed in conversational content. Existing ERC methods, although relying on semantic understanding, often encounter challenges when confronted with incomplete or misleading semantic information. In addition, when dealing with the interaction between emotional and semantic information, existing methods are often difficult to effectively distinguish the complex relationship between the two, which affects the accuracy of emotion recognition. To address the problems of semantic misdirection and emotional cross-talk encountered by traditional models when confronted with complex conversational data, we propose a semantic and emotional dual channel (SEDC) strategy for emotion recognition in conversations to process emotional and semantic information independently. Under this strategy, emotion information provides an auxiliary recognition function when the semantics are unclear or lacking, enhancing the accuracy of the model. Our model consists of two modules: the emotion processing module accurately captures the emotional features of each utterance through contrastive learning, and then constructs a dialogue emotion propagation map to simulate the emotional information conveyed in the dialogue;the semantic processing module combines an external knowledge base to enhance the semantic expression of the dialogue through knowledge enhancement strategies. This divide-and-conquer approach allows us to more deeply analyze the emotional and semantic dimensions of complex dialogues. Experimental results on the IEMOCAP, EmoryNLP, MELD, and DailyDialog datasets show that our approach significantly outperforms existing techniques and effectively improves the accuracy of dialogue emotion recognition. Recently, stochastic computing (SC) is increasingly popular in constructing MAC for on-edge DNNs benefiting from its outstanding energy-efficiency, including its adequate precision and gatelevel operation. However, current SC-DNN systems always include a lot of costly SNGs/APCs for inevitably switches between binary and stochastic domains, which mortgages incongruous resources to pay the "bill" of the domain-switches and impedes highly-concurrent deployments. In this work, PseudoSC, a binary approximation to low-discrepancy SC, is proposed to totally remove the domain-switch for SNG/APC-free SC-DNNs. Its basic idea is to virtually re-arrange a couple of stochastic operands into a 2-D latent op-space, in which, original Monte Carlo sampling can be partitioned into three sub-ops, i.e., two fixed binary-ops and a fractal recursion. In theory, the recursion forms an isomorphic partition of the sampling repeated in smaller scales until the binary base-case achieved, as a result, a SC-op is well approximated only with binary-ops. Based on above theory, a multi-lane micro-architecture is designed to unroll the recursion within a few cycles and its advantages on hardware saving is verified under popular DNNs. The evaluation shows that the DNN-models with our schemes achieve 98.7% accuracy of the fixed-point implementations, which significantly outperform other SOTA methods. In addition, its reduced structure improves the power efficiency by 3.67 times on average.
