This paper introduces the Temporal Transform Network based on Scale Sequences (TTS) for cloth-changing person re-identification in video datasets. The TTS network is designed to capture multi-scale temporal cues within video sequences. It accomplishes this by initially modeling short-term temporal cues between adjacent frames, followed by capturing long-term relationships between non-consecutive frames. In more detail, short-term temporal cues are modeled through parallel inflated convolutions with different time dilation rates, enabling the representation of pedestrian movement and appearance dynamics. Long-term relationships are effectively captured using a temporal self-attention model, mitigating challenges such as occlusion and noise within the video sequence. The TTS network outperforms existing methods across cloth-changing video ReID datasets such as CCVID. For instance, under general settings, our approach exhibits a 1.1% improvement in top-1 accuracy and a corresponding 1.1% increase in mAP compared to the baseline. In cloth-changing settings, we observe a 0.2% enhancement in top-1 accuracy and a notable 1.3% increase in mAP relative to the baseline. © 2023 IEEE.

This study is based on government's digital transformation policy and the industry's digital development trend. Micro-Small Enterprises(MSEs) are the target customers to meet the organizational productivity management needs of key performance indicators (KPI) and project management (PjM) as the research subject, combined with management by objectives (MBO) and performance appraisal organizational management practice as a methodology, using Google's No-code smart cloud-computing service as a practical platform, integrating data input/processing/analysis/ visualization (D/IPAV®) workflows to customized develop the "Performance Visualization Cloud-computing Management System"(PVCMS) of the organization's operational data monitoring and decision-making digital dashboard. This project sets PVCMS as the core product and develops a set of indicators construction, analysis and visual monitoring that meet the performance management needs of the industry. Diagnosis and Consultant model as a solution, to follow-up actual commercialization standard operating procedure to be followed, and quick import templates for various performance management visualization modules. Its operation process is mainly divided into five stages: (1). Define performance management requirements, (2). Establish KPIs, (3). Link Indicator with performance evaluation, (4). In the image restoration task, how to make full use of spatial and channel feature information to improve the reconstruction quality of the model without significantly increasing the computational complexity is an important research issue. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a CS module (Channel Compression and Split-Attention) specifically for optimizing image denoising tasks. The module first compresses the features through a preliminary convolution operation, then introduces the split attention convolution mechanism to split the features by channel and dynamically weight them, thereby enhancing the model's adaptive attention to different feature channels and improving feature expression capabilities. Through experiments on multiple image denoising datasets, the results show that the CS module significantly improves the image reconstruction quality, especially in terms of peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR). At the same time, the introduction of the CS module does not lead to a significant increase in computational complexity, maintaining a high computational efficiency, which verifies the practicality and superiority of the module in image denoising tasks.

This paper aims to enhance the efficiency of teaching and learning by leveraging computer vision technology for automated analysis of student behavior in the classroom. We propose a feature-enhanced method for recognizing student behavior, which integrates an Upsampling module (UPS) and a convolutional block layer (CBL) module into the YOLOv5 model. This innovative approach significantly improves the detection and feature extraction capabilities for student targets, effectively addressing challenges associated with small-sized targets and lowresolution images. Through algorithm optimization, it achieves a balance in sample diversity, enhancing the model's adaptability and generalizability in complex classroom environments. Building upon these technological advancements, we have developed a Classroom Student Posture Perception System (CSP2S). This system integrates functions for data collection, student behavior detection, and result visualization. The CSP2S operates in realtime by capturing and analyzing students' behavioral dynamics while providing teachers with immediate feedback. Experimental results demonstrate that this system substantially reduces teachers' workload in student assessment, offering significant potential to improve teaching effectiveness. These robust technical advancements provide strong support for future applications in real educational environments. © 2023 IEEE.

Video Character Social Relationship Recognition (VCSRR) requires a comprehensive consideration about spatio-temporal and multi-modal clues in videos. Most existing methods mainly focus on integrating multi-modal clues and modeling interactions among characters. However, they fail to discover key clues in the complex video data or fully understand the clues related to social relationships. In this article, we propose a novel Large Language Model Enhanced Key Clues Selection (LEKCS) framework to address the aforementioned issues. The core of LE-KCS is to mine multi-scale key clues from the perspectives of time, space and multi-modality, then transfer the knowledge about social relationships of the Large Language Model to VCSRR for understanding the selected clues. We evaluated LEKCS on the MovieGraphs dataset and the experimental results indicate that our proposed LE-KCS achieves state-of-the-art performance. © 2025 IEEE.

Video stream analytics (VSA) systems fuel many exciting applications that facilitate people’s lives, but also raise critical concerns about exposing too much individuals’ privacy. To alleviate these concerns, various frameworks have been presented to enhance the privacy of VSA systems. Yet, existing solutions suffer two limitations: (1) being scenario-customized, thus limiting the generality of adapting to multifarious scenarios, (2) requiring complex, imperative programming, and tedious process, thus largely reducing the usability of such systems. In this paper, we present X-Stream, a privacy-preserving video transformer that achieves flexibility and efficiency for a large variety of VSA tasks. X-Stream features three major novel designs: (1) a declarative query interface that provides a simple yet expressive interface for users to describe both their privacy protection and content exposure requirements, (2) an adaptation mechanism that dynamically selects the most suitable privacy-preserving techniques and their parameters based on the current video context, and (3) an efficient execution engine that incorporates optimizations for multi-task deduplication and inter-frame inference. We implement X-Stream and evaluate it with representative VSA tasks and public video datasets. The results show that X-Stream achieves significantly improved privacy protection quality and performance over the state-of-the-art, while being simple to use.

In recent years, oriented object detection technology has made significant progress. Most oriented object detectors represent oriented bounding boxes by adding additional angle information to the horizontal bounding box representation, which leads to serious angle periodicity issues. To address these issues, this paper proposes double midpoint vectors (DMvectors) to represent oriented objects. For any oriented bounding box, we align the center point with the origin in the Cartesian coordinate system, and evenly distribute the midpoints of the box edges across the four quadrants. We use the midpoint of the first and second quadrants, as well as the width and height of the box, to represent the oriented bounding box. DMvectors solve the periodic problem of angles by implicitly including angle information in vectors. To demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method, we conducted extensive experiments on two common remote sensing datasets (DOTA and HRSC2016), and our method achieved competitive results. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, we study the impossibility of constructing perfect complete quantum public key encryption (QPKE) from quantumly secure one-way functions (OWFs) in a black-box manner. We show that this problem is connected to a fundamental conjecture about the roots of low-degree polynomials on the Boolean hypercube. Informally, the conjecture asserts that for every nonconstant low-degree polynomial, there exists a universal (randomized) way to modify a small number of input bits such that, for every input string, the polynomial evaluated on the modified input string avoids 0 with sufficiently large probability (over the choice of how the input string is modified). Assuming this conjecture, we demonstrate the impossibility of constructing QPKE from quantumly secure one-way functions in a black-box manner, by employing the information-theoretical approach recently developed by Li, Li, Li, and Liu (CRYPTO’24). Towards resolving this conjecture, we provide various pieces of evidence supporting it and prove some special cases. In particular, we fully rule out perfect QPKE from OWFs when the key generation algorithm only makes a logarithmic number of quantum queries, improving the previous work, which can only handle classical queries. © Longcheng Li, Qian Li, Xingjian Li, and Qipeng Liu.

Skin diseases rank among the most prevalent ailments in humans, which underscores the critical importance of early detection and diagnosis. Considering clinical practice, the integration of information from various modalities holds significant potential to enhance diagnostic accuracy and precision. In this study, we propose a multi-modal and multi-attention fusion network for multi-task skin disease classification. We initially devise the Shifted Window Cross-attention Fusion (SWCF) module based on the shifted window self-attention mechanism, leveraging the advantages of the attention mechanism to learn the correlations between different modalities and fully integrate multi-modal features. Subsequently, taking into account the heterogeneity of the data, we employ the Heterogeneous data Cross-attention Fusion (HDCF) module using the idea of information decoupling and separation processing to integrate image and text data. Additionally, we suggest the Dynamic Loss Weight Allocation (DLWA) method for multi-task learning to refine the training procedure. We confirm the superiority of the proposed method on the publicly available multi-modal skin lesion dataset, Derm7pt. The average accuracy of multi-modal skin disease classification is 79.14%, surpassing the current state-of-the-art methods. © 2024 IEEE.
