Named Entity Recognition (NER) is one of the contents of Knowledge Extraction (KE) that transforms data into knowledge representation. However, Chinese NER faces the problem of lacking clear word boundaries that limit the effectiveness of the KE. Although the flat lattice Transformer (FLAT) framework, which converts lattice structure into a flat structure including a set of spans, can effectively improve this problem and obtain advanced results, there still exist the problems of insensitivity to entity importance weights and insufficient feature learning. This paper proposes a weighted flat lattice Transformer architecture for Chinese NER, namely WFLAT. The WFLAT first adds a weight matrix into self-attention calculation, which can obtain finer-grained partitioning of entities to improve experimental performance, and then adopts a multi-layer Transformer encoder with each layer using a multi-head self-attention mechanism. Extensive experimental results on benchmarks demonstrate that our proposed KE model can obtain state-of-the-art performance for the Chinese NER task.

This paper presents a framework for assessing financial risk across industries by integrating rule-based modeling, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. The framework utilizes diverse data sources, including financial, tax, and judicial records, as well as financial reports from listed companies, to improve enterprise credit *** process begins with data preparation, which involves collecting and preprocessing data to ensure its quality and consistency. A rule-based preprocessing algorithm is developed to standardize the data for scoring. In the second phase, scoring is done using rule-based modeling informed by expert advice and AHP, which prioritizes and weights factors impacting industrial risk. This generates a customized scorecard for each industry. The third phase focuses on training AI models on the dataset. These models automatically learn to assign weights to indicators and generate industry scores by identifying complex patterns between the data and industry performance. The framework concludes with cross-validation to confirm the accuracy and reliability of the results. This approach provides insights into industry-wide scoring, supports continuous monitoring of industry performance, and enhances financial risk management decision-making. The proposed framework offers a robust and reliable tool for assessing financial risk across various industries.

This paper presents a Scientific Literature Management Platform (SLMP, demo link 1 ) based on large language models (LLMs). The platform consists of four modules: literature management, literature extraction, literature retrieval, and question answering. The core techniques used to support the four modules across the platform include a fine-tuned model PaperExtractGPT and a continual pre-training model ChatPaperGPT based on ChatGLM 2 using the data from scientific research literature, responsible for information extraction and communication, respectively. Due to their powerful capabilities in natural language understanding and generation, LLMs can understand complex scientific concepts based on the provided contexts, and thus generate high-quality texts and conduct in-depth information retrieval and question answering. Our platform can help researchers manage and utilize literature more effectively and efficiently for finding relevant literature, obtaining required information, and generating new knowledge.

We present a novel holistic deep-learning approach for multi-task learning from a single indoor panoramic image. Our framework, named MultiPanoWise, extends vision transformers to jointly infer multiple pixel-wise signals, such as depth, normals, and semantic segmentation, as well as signals from intrinsic decomposition, such as reflectance and shading. Our solution leverages a specific architecture combining a transformer-based encoder-decoder with multiple heads, by introducing, in particular, a novel context adjustment approach, to enforce knowledge distillation between the various signals. Moreover, at training time we introduce a hybrid loss scalarization method based on an augmented Chebychev/hypervolume scheme. We illustrate the capabilities of the proposed architecture on public-domain synthetic and real-world datasets. We demonstrate performance improvements with respect to the most recent methods specifically designed for single tasks, like, for example, individual depth estimation or semantic segmentation. To our knowledge, this is the first architecture capable of achieving state-of-the-art performance on the joint extraction of heterogeneous signals from single indoor omnidirectional images.

Effective anomaly detection of multivariate time series data is crucial for modern industrial applications. However, existing works usually ignore spatial and temporal dependencies of series. The data with complicated spatial-temporal feature put forward higher requirements for accurate detection of anomalies. In this paper, we propose an anomaly detection method for multivariate time series based on spatial-temporal network (STN). Firstly, the time series are reconstructed by Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN). The reconstruction block is used to amplify the influence of the abnormal state and prompt the anomalies more detectable, as poorly reconstructed data of abnormal state further worsen the quality of the final predicted value. Secondly, an adaptive learning graph structure layer is proposed. The graph structure is learned by adaptive method without any prior knowledge and is used for reconstructed data prediction. Thirdly, we use STN to extract spatial and temporal dependencies of series. Especially, attention mechanism is introduced into graph convolution network to enhance the prediction performance by focusing on more important neighbor node message. Finally, our model is tested on 3 public datasets to evaluate performance. The results demonstrate that our method performs better than baselines. © 2024 IEEE.

This article proposes an algorithm designed for autonomous quadrotors to capture target quadrotors in complex obstacle environments, enabling multiple pursuers to perform distributed capture while simultaneously avoiding obstacles and collisions. We first introduce a 3D obstacle space representation method based on safety-priority reachable region (SPRR) and implement real-time construction for general point cloud maps. Subsequently, leveraging SPRR, we employ an area minimization approach to ensure the effective capture of the evader within a limited time. The outcomes are then integrated into a MINCO-based trajectory planning framework to ensure their practical execution by real quadrotors. Relying on SPRR, the optimization problem is simplified and the solution efficiency is improved. In the scenario of simulating the dynamics of real quadrotors, we compare the proposed algorithm with state-of-the-art evasion and pursuit methods, validating its effectiveness and advancements. This work presents a practical solution for multi-quadrotor collaborative capture. © 2025 IEEE.

Fuzzy rough set theory is effective for processing datasets with complex attributes, supported by a solid mathematical foundation and closely linked to kernel methods in machine learning. Attribute reduction algorithms and classifiers based on fuzzy rough set theory exhibit promising performance in the analysis of high-dimensional multivariate complex data. However, most existing models operate at the finest granularity, rendering them inefficient and sensitive to noise, especially for high-dimensional big data. Thus, enhancing the robustness of fuzzy rough set models is crucial for effective feature selection. Muiti-garanularty granular-ball computing, a recent development, uses granular-balls of different sizes to adaptively represent and cover the sample space, performing learning based on these granular-balls. This paper proposes integrating multi-granularity granular-ball computing into fuzzy rough set theory, using granular-balls to replace sample points. The coarse-grained characteristics of granular-balls make the model more robust. Additionally, we propose a new method for generating granular-balls, scalable to the entire supervised method based on granular-ball computing. A forward search algorithm is used to select feature sequences by defining the correlation between features and categories through dependence functions. Experiments demonstrate the proposed model’s effectiveness and superiority over baseline methods. Industrial process safety has always been a concern for engineers and researchers. Fault diagnosis frameworks based on data-driven methods are prevalent and play a vital role in guaranteeing industrial process safety. However, the data collected in actual industrial production regularly exhibits high-dimensional and complex timing characteristics. In this research, a new framework for fault diagnosis is constructed on the strength of dynamic L2-norm normalized fisher discriminant analysis (FDA) integrating with AdaBoost. Firstly, timing characteristic in industrial process is taken into account so that a dynamic fault dataset is constructed. Then, the FDA vectors are normalized by L2-norm and utilized to reduce data dimension which can learn fault patterns in feature extraction. In addition, an ensemble learning method named AdaBoost is adopted for pattern classification. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, simulation experiments based on Tennessee Eastman process are carried out and satisfactory results are obtained. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

We introduce a multi-view document clustering model called DMsECN (Deep Multi-structure Ensemble Clustering Network), comprising a multi-structure processor and a hybrid ensemble clustering module. Unlike existing models, DMsECN distinguishes itself by creating a consensus structure from multiple clustering structures. The multi-structure processor comprises two stages, each contributing to the extraction of clustering structures that preserve both consistency and complementarity across multiple views. Representation learning extracts both view and view-fused representations from multi-views through the use of contrastive learning. Subsequently, multi-structure learning employs distinct view clustering guidance to generate the corresponding clustering structures. The hybrid ensemble clustering module merges two ensemble methods to amalgamate multiple structures, producing a consensus structure that guarantees both the separability and compactness of clusters within the clustering results. The attention-based ensemble primarily concentrates on learning the contribution weights of diverse clustering structures, while the similarity-based ensemble employs cluster assignment similarity and cluster classification dissimilarity to guide the refinement of the consensus structure. It is a challenge to monitor the network security state in a large-scale network environment because the selection of situation assessment indicators is overrun by massive observational information. To address this issue, this paper proposes a network security situational assessment model based on a reduced indicator system. The model categorises the characteristics of network assets and threats into endogenous situational factors and exogenous situational factors. By applying the multi-label extremely random tree algorithm to select the importance of network features, a reduced indicator system with independence and strong comprehensiveness is established. Additionally, the weights of the reduced indicator system are calculated using an improved analytical hierarchy process, which yields the evaluation results for network security situations. The experimental results show that the model improves the accuracy and timeliness of the situation assessment model, and the method can reflect the network situation in real time. © 2023 IEEE.
