Brain Tumor Segmentation (BraTS) plays a critical role in clinical diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring the progression of brain tumors. However, due to the variability in tumor appearance, size, and intensity across different MRI modalities, automated segmentation remains a challenging task. In this study, we propose a novel Transformer-based framework, multiPI-TransBTS, which integrates multi-physical information to enhance segmentation accuracy. The model leverages spatial information, semantic information, and multi-modal imaging data, addressing the inherent heterogeneity in brain tumor characteristics. The multiPI-TransBTS framework consists of an encoder, an Adaptive Feature Fusion (AFF) module, and a multi-source, multi-scale feature decoder. The encoder incorporates a multi-branch architecture to separately extract modality-specific features from different MRI sequences. The AFF module fuses information from multiple sources using channel-wise and element-wise attention, ensuring effective feature recalibration. The decoder combines both common and task-specific features through a Task-Specific Feature Introduction (TSFI) strategy, producing accurate segmentation outputs for Whole Tumor (WT), Tumor Core (TC), and Enhancing Tumor (ET) regions. Comprehensive evaluations on the BraTS2019 and BraTS2020 datasets demonstrate the superiority of multiPI-TransBTS over the state-of-the-art methods. The model consistently achieves better Dice coefficients, Hausdorff distances, and Sensitivity scores, highlighting its effectiveness in addressing the BraTS challenges. Our results also indicate the need for further exploration of the balance between precision and recall in the ET segmentation task. The proposed framework represents a significant advancement in BraTS, with potential implications for improving clinical outcomes for brain tumor patients. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. The uncertain nonlinear switched system, characterized by its susceptibility to subjective uncertainties, can be described through uncertain differential equations. While investigations have covered mean stability, measure stability, and almost sure stability in the context of uncertain nonlinear switched systems, these forms of stability may not be suitable for every situation. This paper seeks to present the concept of stability in the p-th moment for nonlinear switched systems, offering it as an additional form of stability. The paper also introduces a stability theorem for uncertain nonlinear switched systems that exhibit stability in the p-th moment. Moreover, it explores the connections between stability in measure and stability in the p-th moment within the framework of uncertain nonlinear switched systems. Logic diagnosis is a key step in yield learning. Multiple faults diagnosis is challenging because of several reasons, including error masking, fault reinforcement, and huge search space for possible fault combinations. This work proposes a two-phase method for multiple-fault diagnosis. The first phase efficiently reduces the potential number of fault candidates through machine learning. The second phase obtains the final diagnosis results, by formulating the task as an combinational optimization problem that is later iteratively solved using binary evolution computation. Experiments shows that our method outperforms two existing methods for multiple-fault diagnosis, and achieves better diagnosability (improved by $1.87\times$ ) and resolution (improved by $1.42\times$ ) compared with a state-of-the-art commercial diagnosis tool.

In many underwater application scenarios, recognition tasks need to be executed promptly on computationally limited platforms. However, models designed for this field often exhibit spatial locality, and existing works lack the ability to capture crucial details in images. Therefore, a lightweight and detail-aware vision network (LDVNet) for resource-constrained environments is proposed to overcome the limitations of these approaches. Firstly, in order to enhance the accuracy of target image recognition, we introduce transformer modules to acquire global information, thus addressing the issue of spatial locality inherent in traditional convolutional neural networks (CNNs). Secondly, to maintain the network's lightweight nature, we integrate the transformer module with convolutional operations, thereby mitigating the substantial parameter and floating point operations (FLOPs) overhead. Thirdly, for the efficient extraction of crucial fine-grained details from feature maps, we have devised a channel and spatial attention module (C&SA). This module aids in recognizing intricate and fine-grained visual tasks and enhances image understanding. It is seamlessly integrated into LDVNet with nearly negligible parameter overhead. The experimental results demonstrate that LDVNet outperforms other lightweight networks and hybrid networks in different recognition tasks, while being suitable for resource-constrained environments. © 2023 IEEE.

Single-cell clustering is a pivotal technique in deciphering single-cell omics data, enabling us to gain insights into cell function and heterogeneity. However, the presence of batch effects in single-cell omics data poses significant challenges to the accuracy and reliability of single-cell clustering. To address these challenges, we develop a Batch Effect-Removed Clustering method(scBERC) that incorporates a novel single-cell augmentation strategy and contrastive learning. By augmenting cells with artificially induced variations, our approach captures the full range of cell states, accounting for both biological heterogeneity and batch-specific variations. This augmentation strategy enriches the training data while the contrastive learning strategy better extracts real biological features, allowing the deep subspace clustering algorithm to learn robust and generalized patterns, thereby mitigating the biases introduced by batch effects. Experimental results on twelve real single-cell datasets demonstrate that scBERC outperforms existing single-cell clustering methods, significantly improving clustering performance and facilitating downstream analysis. © 2023 IEEE.

Angle of Arrival (AoA) estimation based on Constant Tone Extension (CTE) signals in Bluetooth 5 suffers from carrier frequency offsets (CFO) arising from the carrier frequency mismatch between the receiver and the transmitter, extra noises coming from switching frequencies when sampling CTE signals, as well as the phase folding problem due to the usage of mod2π in mapping the increasing phase values in estimation models into [0, 2π). To address these issues, a generalized phase model involving the CFO compensation and the time offset is established, and an adaptive gradient descent optimization algorithm based on the real sampling mechanism is proposed to solve the phase folding problem efficiently while obtaining high-precision AoA estimation. Experimental results show that our method reduces the average estimation error by at least 10% in outdoor scenes and 61% in indoor scenes compared to the conventional methods.

Image inpainting, which aims to reconstruct reasonably clear and realistic images from known pixel information, is one of the core problems in computer vision. However, due to the complexity and variability of the underwater environment, the inability to extract valid pixel points and insufficient correlation between feature information in existing image inpainting techniques lead to blurring in the generated images. Therefore, a novel gated attention feature fusion image inpainting network based on generative adversarial networks (GAF-GAN) is proposed. The accuracy of feature similarity matching depends heavily on the validity of the information contained in the features. On the one hand, gating values are dynamically generated by gated convolution to reduce the interference of invalid information. On the other hand, semantic information at distant locations in an image is accurately acquired by the attention mechanism. For these reasons, we designed an improved gated attention mechanism. Gated attention mechanism make the network focus on effective information such as high-frequency texture and color fidelity of restored images. In addition, the dense feature fusion module is added to expand the overall receptive field of the network to fully learn the image features. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively repair defective images with complex texture structures and improve the reality and integrity of image details and structures. © 2023 IEEE.

Federated Learning enables collaboratively model training among a number of distributed devices with the coordination of a centralized server, where each device alternatively performs local gradient computation and communication to the server. FL suffers from significant performance degradation due to the excessive communication delay between the server and devices, especially when the network bandwidth of these devices is limited, which is common in edge environments. Existing methods overlap the gradient computation and communication to hide the communication latency to accelerate the FL training. However, the overlapping can also lead to an inevitable gap between the local model in each device and the global model in the server that seriously restricts the convergence rate of learning process. To address this problem, we propose a new overlapping method for FL, AOCC-FL, which aligns the local model with the global model via calibrated compensation such that the communication delay can be hidden without deteriorating the convergence performance. Theoretically, we prove that AOCC-FL admits the same convergence rate as the non-overlapping method. On both simulated and testbed experiments, we show that AOCC-FL achieves a comparable convergence rate relative to the non-overlapping method while outperforming the state-of-the-art overlapping methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Social media has emerged as a cornerstone of social movements, wielding significant influence in driving societal change. Simulating the response of the public and forecasting the potential impact has become increasingly important. However, existing methods for simulating such phenomena encounter challenges concerning their efficacy and efficiency in capturing the behaviors of social movement participants. In this paper, we introduce a hybrid framework HiSim for social media user simulation, wherein users are categorized into two types. Core users are driven by Large Language Models, while numerous ordinary users are modeled by deductive agent-based models. We further construct a Twitter-like environment to replicate their response dynamics following trigger events. Subsequently, we develop a multi-faceted benchmark SoMoSiMu-Bench for evaluation and conduct comprehensive experiments across real-world datasets. Rock glaciers are typical periglacial landforms with tongue or lobate morphological shapes and characterized by the distinct front,lateral margins,and often by ridge-and-furrow surface topography textures as well as kinematic characteristics,widely distributed in alpine *** Synthetic aperture radar interferometry(MT-InSAR),is a remote sensing technique with demonstrated effectiveness for detecting landform ***,its application to rock glaciers is challenged by temporal decorrelation and atmospheric phase noises due to complex topography and snow *** designed a quadtree segmentation and parallel computing-based MT-InSAR method to improve the quality and efficiency of deformation measurement of rock *** applied the method to a rock glacier inventory of the Nyainqentanglha Range,China,derived from high-resolution Gaofen-2 images,to quantify the activity rate of each rock *** showed that 32.1%(6,389)of the identified rock glaciers exhibited slope-parallel deformation rates exceeding 100 mm/*** activities of the rock glaciers exhibited strong correlations with their distance to glaciers,precipitation,freeze-thaw magnitude,and permafrost occurrence *** results demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed segmentation-parallel MT-InSAR method for monitoring rock glacier deformation over a large region.
