Generative models have attracted considerable attention for speech separation tasks, and among these, diffusion-based methods are being explored. Despite the notable success of diffusion techniques in generation tasks, their adaptation to speech separation has encountered challenges, notably slow convergence and suboptimal separation outcomes. To address these issues and enhance the efficacy of diffusion-based speech separation, we introduce EDSep, a novel single-channel method grounded in score matching via stochastic differential equation (SDE). This method enhances generative modeling for speech source separation by optimizing training and sampling efficiency. Specifically, a novel denoiser function is proposed to approximate data distributions, which obtains ideal denoiser outputs. Additionally, a stochastic sampler is carefully designed to resolve the reverse SDE during the sampling process, gradually separating speech from mixtures. Extensive experiments on databases such as WSJ0-2mix, LRS2-2mix, and VoxCeleb2-2mix demonstrate our proposed method’s superior performance over existing diffusion and discriminative models, validating its efficacy.

WebCode2M: A Real-World dataset for Code Generation from Webpage Designs

Automatically generating webpage code from webpage designs can significantly reduce the workload of front-end developers, and recent Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have shown promising potential in this area. However, our investigation reveals that most existing MLLMs are constrained by the absence of high-quality, large-scale, real-world datasets, resulting in inadequate performance in automated webpage code generation. To fill this gap, this paper introduces WebCode2M, a new dataset comprising 2.56 million instances, each containing a design image along with the corresponding webpage code and layout details. Sourced from real-world web resources, WebCode2M offers a rich and valuable dataset for webpage code generation across a variety of applications. The dataset quality is ensured by a scoring model that filters out instances with aesthetic deficiencies or other incomplete elements. To validate the effectiveness of WebCode2M, we introduce a baseline model based on the Vision Transformer (ViT), named WebCoder, and establish a benchmark for fair comparison. Additionally, we introduce a new metric, TreeBLEU, to measure the structural hierarchy recall. The benchmarking results demonstrate that our dataset significantly improves the ability of MLLMs to generate code from webpage designs, confirming its effectiveness and usability for future applications in front-end design tools. Weight assignment is a universal and indispensable process in multi-view feature selection. However, most existing methods overlook the fuzziness and uncertainty implied in multi-view data. This may result in improper weight assignment, degrading the quality of selected features. A cross-view fuzziness and intra-view uncertainty-based weight reconstruction method (CFIUWR) is proposed for multi-view feature selection. With the fuzzy rough set theory, fuzzy approximation operators recognize cross-view fuzziness and intra-view uncertainty, which are evaluated by classification-related measurement. Cross-view fuzziness and intra-view uncertainty are incorporated to develop a reconstruction mechanism for view and feature weights. An optimization algorithm is derived, guaranteeing rapid convergence. Comparisons with state-of-the-art methods on several real-world datasets demonstrate the superiority of the CFIUWR. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Various forms of social interactions are often char-acterized by toxic or offensive words that can be collectively referred to as offensive languages, which has become a unique linguistic phenomenon in social media platforms. How to detect and identify these offensive languages in social media platforms has become one of the important research in the field of natural language processing. Existing methods utilize machine learning algorithms or text representation models based on deep learning to learn the features of offensive languages and identify them, which have achieved good performances. However, traditional machine learning-based methods mainly rely on keyword identi-fication and blocking, deep learning-based methods do not ade-quately explore the fused deep semantic features of the content by combining word-level embeddings and sentence-level deep semantic feature representations of sentences, which cannot ef-fectively identify offensive languages that do not contain common offensive words but indicate offensive meanings. In this research, we propose a novel offensive language identification model based on deep semantic feature fusion, which uses the pre-trained model Bert to obtain word-level embedding representations of offensive languages, and then integrates the RCNN that combines with the attention mechanism to extract the fused deep semantic feature representations of offensive languages, and label encoder and offensive predictor to improve the identification accuracy and generalization ability of the model so that the performances of the model do not rely on the offensive language lexicon entirely and can identify offensive languages that do not contain common offensive words but indicate offensive meanings. Experimental results on Wikipedia and Twitter comment datasets show that our proposed model can better understand the context and discover potential offensive meanings, and outperforms existing methods.

This article proposes an algorithm designed for autonomous quadrotors to capture target quadrotors in complex obstacle environments, enabling multiple pursuers to perform distributed capture while simultaneously avoiding obstacles and collisions. We first introduce a 3D obstacle space representation method based on safety-priority reachable region (SPRR) and implement real-time construction for general point cloud maps. Subsequently, leveraging SPRR, we employ an area minimization approach to ensure the effective capture of the evader within a limited time. The outcomes are then integrated into a MINCO-based trajectory planning framework to ensure their practical execution by real quadrotors. Relying on SPRR, the optimization problem is simplified and the solution efficiency is improved. In the scenario of simulating the dynamics of real quadrotors, we compare the proposed algorithm with state-of-the-art evasion and pursuit methods, validating its effectiveness and advancements. This work presents a practical solution for multi-quadrotor collaborative capture.

Feature-only partition of large graph data in distributed Graph Neural Network (GNN) training offers advantages over commonly adopted graph structure partition, such as minimal graph preprocessing cost and elimination of cross-worker subgraph sampling burdens. Nonetheless, performance bottleneck of GNN training with feature-only partitions still largely lies in the substantial communication overhead due to cross-worker feature fetching. To reduce the communication overhead and expedite distributed training, we first investigate and answer two key questions on convergence behaviors of GNN model in feature-partition based distribute GNN training: 1) As no worker holds a complete copy of each feature, can gradient exchange among workers compensate for the information loss due to incomplete local features? 2) If the answer to the first question is negative, is feature fetching in every training iteration of the GNN model necessary to ensure model convergence? Based on our theoretical findings on these questions, we derive an optimal communication plan that decides the frequency for feature fetching during the training process, taking into account bandwidth levels among workers and striking a balance between model loss and training time. Extensive evaluation demonstrates consistent results with our theoretical analysis, and the effectiveness of our proposed design.

Aiming at the problems of the communication inefficiency and high energy consumption in vehicular networks, the platoon service recommendation systems (PSRS) are presented. Many schemes for evaluating the reputation of platoon head vehicles have been proposed to obtain and recommend reliable platoon head vehicles. These trustworthiness evaluation protocols for PSRS fail to achieve both reliability and fairness. We first provide a reliable trustworthiness evaluation method to ensure that the reputation level of platoon head vehicle can be calculated by cloud service provider (CSP) with the help of key agreement mechanism and truth discovery technology. The semi-trusted entity CSP may maliciously tamper with the reputation level of the platoon head vehicle. We also provide a reputation level confirmation method to ensure the fairness of trustworthiness evaluation. Formal security proof and security analysis are provided to show that our trustworthiness evaluation protocol can achieve the goals of privacy protection, reliability, fairness and resistance to several security attacks. Experiments demonstrate that this protocol can save execution time and achieve reliable and fair trustworthiness evaluation for PSRS.

To overcome the scaling and performance limitations, the Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) is utilized as the underlying storage model of blockchain systems, which enables concurrent transaction processing and confirmation. However, accompanied by high performance, DAG-based blockchains still suffer from the severe challenge of constrained storage scalability, i.e., expensive storage overhead. Based on an in-depth analysis of the data, we discover that the root cause of storage overhead stems from the considerable data redundancy in the DAG-based blockchains. In this paper, we propose GeckoDAG, a lightweight DAG-based blockchain, whose design consists of two steps. First, we abstract a storage model named Basic from the existing DAG-based blockchain systems, which offers both high performance and security. On top of Basic, we then devise GeckoDAG, which merges previous transactions into Transaction Union (TU) and reduces the data redundancy in TU, thus lowering the storage overhead. To evaluate our design, we implement a prototype of GeckoDAG and conduct various experiments on it. The experimental results demonstrate that GeckoDAG can offer storage scalability while maintaining the security and efficiency of DAG-based blockchains.

Graft: Efficient Inference Serving for Hybrid Deep Learning with SLO Guarantees via DNN Re-alignment

Deep neural networks (DNNs) have been widely adopted for various mobile inference tasks, yet their ever-increasing computational demands are hindering their deployment on resource-constrained mobile devices. Hybrid deep learning partitions a DNN into two parts and deploys them across the mobile device and a server, aiming to reduce inference latency or prolong battery life of mobile devices. However, such partitioning produces (non-uniform) DNN fragments which are hard to serve efficiently on the server. This paper presents Graft—an efficient inference serving system for hybrid deep learning with latency service-level objective (SLO) guarantees. Our main insight is to mitigate the non-uniformity by a core concept called DNN re-alignment, allowing multiple heterogeneous DNN fragments to be restructured to share layers. To fully exploit the potential of DNN re-alignment, Graft employs fine-grained GPU resource sharing. Based on that, we propose efficient algorithms for merging, grouping, and re-aligning DNN fragments to maximize request batching opportunities, minimizing resource consumption while guaranteeing the inference latency SLO. We implement a Graft prototype and perform extensive experiments with five types of widely used DNNs and real-world network traces.
