With the proliferation usage of video surveillance for safety, traffic control, and privacy purposes and with the constant growth of population, it is important to keep monitoring using Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV). With new upcoming developed technologies, new systems and algorithms are introduced and implemented to the crowd counting system today retrieving live video surveillance from the CCTV. However, recent studies show that there are some challenges still faced regarding the crowd counting system which uses the density estimation. The problems that occurred have resulted from the inaccuracy of the system that is caused by several factors. Factors such as the perspective distortion which is caused by the lack of data training and the method such as face detection is an ineffective method to determine the population density. Studies proposed have projected the idea of developing a more robust crowd counting methodology by implementing crowd counting by detection, clustering, and regression. Implementing these methods using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) will better the result of the detection since in CNN the image can be inputted and it will undergo several layers which will result in the system being able to differentiate one image from the other. With CNN the process of crowd counting will be able to be more advanced.

Disasters are unexpected, sudden events that may cause monumental damages to both materials and human lives. Hence, the unpredictability and destruction that follow when a disaster happens to pose a dire challenge for researchers, scientists, and governments to find ways to effectively handle the situation and flow of information when such an event strikes. The Internet of Things (IoT) presents a solution that involves using one or more mobile devices connected over the network, thus making the transfer of data and information more effective and efficient. This paper presents a holistic analysis of the state-of-the-art IoT technologies which can answer the challenge posed above, in addition to the demand for efficiency, mobility, accuracy, as well as better communications between the command center and all actors involved in disaster operations. The applications of IoT have varied for many purposes. We divide those purposes into two broad strokes of pre-disaster management and post-disaster management IoT-aided systems. For pre-disaster management, the IoT-aided systems are mostly used to predict the possible disaster that might happen using sensors placed in strategic places. Finally, for post-disaster management, the IoT-aided systems aid in improving the effectiveness and accuracy of evacuation, relief, and victim-tracking efforts.

Convolutional neural networks (ConvNet or CNN) are deep learning algorithms that can process input images, assign meaning to various aspects or objects in the image (biases and learnable weight) and recognize one image from another. The bigger kernel size will take more time to process the *** present a novelty way to use a 4D rank tensor to improve a convolutional process. At the early stage of the Convolve4D development, the edge detection with 3×3 kernel and The Laplacian of Gaussian (LoG) with 5×5 kernel size was used to demonstrate the convolutional process improvement. The Convolve4D needs more elaboration to be used into a CNN algorithm. The advantage of convolve4D is only need 9 loops to calculate 81 outputs, whereas convolve2D need 9 × 9 × 3 × 1 × 7 × 7 = 11.907 loops. The result is 18.5% shorter when using a 5×5 kernel; it reduces from 0.54 seconds to 0.44 seconds for the edge detection convolution process.

One of the unsatisfactory conditions that are occurred in fashion e-commerce in Indonesia is user drop off. By using funnel analysis, the product detail page of fashion e-commerce founded as the page with the most user drop off. To tackle this problem, several experiments were prepared. With A/B testing, the experiments that possibly improved the conversion rate were identified. Cervical cancer is Indonesia's second leading cause of death, following only breast cancer. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), non-communicable disorders will be blamed for 70% of all deaths and illnesses in 2020, while other disease types will account for 60%. Cervical cancer can be detected earlier, lowering the chance of death. This study aims to validate and check the pap smear test results obtained from the previously conducted pap smear screening program. The pap smear questionnaire developed would help in the compilation of a patient's habit history that has undergone a pap smear test during his life based on the factors associated with the occurrence of cervical cancer. Specific details, social-demographic features, diet, genital hygiene activities, reproductive background and behaviors, and health care and cancer prevention behavior are also included in the questionnaire template. The consequence of this design is the completeness of evidence on the theory of anomalies dependent on the findings of pap smear sampling.

As the initial step in technology empowerment for jamu SMEs, the research proposes a concept in facilitating jamu SMEs to adapt in online business. A combination of Connolly and Begg's database design principles and McCarthy's Marketing Mix 4P generates a conceptual design of PoS database targeted specifically for jamu SMEs. The database design manages online purchasing transactions for jamu products by involving not only jamu SMEs and consumers but also a system administrator who manages data verification and extraction.

This study implements the system which is able to get the trending or top news based on twitter data. This information will connect to the journalist via mobile application. It helps journalists to get the potential news to be reported in their media. The application will group each tweets into various themes based on the cosine similarity. The tweets which are more the certain threshold, can be indicated as the top news. The top news is then classified into one category news by using SVM algorithm. The training data becomes from the source data of one media news. The specific topic of this result will ease to order the journalist cover this top news. The system can be implemented well.

This research focused on social media applications that had been used by large-scale users. Data might be in the form of text, image, video, each with its own data processing complexity. In this study, the researchers had performed a systematic review of literature on the development and usage of crowdsourcing data collection in recent days, with a range of techniques/methods/approaches to present meaningful data results/conclusions for environmental management. From the collected references, it is found that most papers discuss the monitoring and planning the environment through the use of social media data. An in-depth review of the literature was performed on the state-of-the-art environmental monitoring and planning and the general architecture of the data crowdsourcing system. Finally, based on the literature review, the challenge of data crowdsourcing for environmental monitoring and planning is identified and addressed.
