In the current era, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computer Vision take the main role and participating to the people daily activities. Face Expression became as interesting topic to be explore. Face expression recognition or detection could be applied in many aspects, such as for student focus detection based on face expression, intruder detection system, lie detection and many more. Referring the useful of face expression detection, there are also much research that focused on the methodology to detects or recognize the face expression. Several approaches are use such by using Deep Learning, Machine Learning and statistical method. This paper focused on the process to obtain and knowing the best approach or methods to recognize the face expression by using Systematic Literature Review (SLR) process. From hundreds of retrieved papers with similar interest, we do the selection based on the interest, scope, and topic similarity. The process keeps repeating until we found papers that has similarity criteria in output, dataset, subject and the methods. There are 6 papers in total that fulfil our requirements based on subject, output, result and methods. Subsequently, every research paper was deep-reviewed and compared with another to find the best approaches proposed and dataset used. © 2022 IEEE.

Despite their drawbacks, multiple-choice questions (MCQ) have been widely used to assess the students' understanding of lectures through examinations. The development of automatic MCQ generation is beneficial, especially for educators. As a starting point for further development, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) is conducted to uncover current trends, future challenges, and opportunities in automatic MCQ generation. Previously, an SLR was conducted, but it lacks coverage of the utilization of transformer-based models. This SLR covers the development of automatic MCQ generation using either traditional or advanced approaches such as Transformers. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses framework was used to gather the data from Scopus, IEEE Xplore, SpringerLink, arXiv, and Semantic Scholar. The included articles must be open-access computer science conference papers or journal articles and written in English less than five years ago. Four independent reviewers analyzed the research workflow, evaluation metric, and dataset used in each study. There are 18 included studies, where 17% (n = 3) studies are from 2024, 33% (n = 6) studies are from 2023, 22% (n = 4) studies are from 2022, 11% (n = 2) studies are from 2021, and 17% (n = 3) studies are from 2020. There are 33% (n = 6) of the studies used the traditional feature-based engineering approach, 39% (n = 7) of the studies used the Transformer-based model fine-tuning approach, and the remaining used novel approaches. The study found that BERT variants are the most utilized Transformer-based model in automatic MCQ. The research notes some challenges, but also open various opportunities for further research, including Large Language Model (LLM) utilization for automatic MCQ generation, the utilization BERT-based models for standardized machine-learned evaluation metrics, and the initiative for the creation of an MCQ dataset benchmark. © 2024 IEEE.

Currently, Indonesia and the whole world are being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic which has an impact on various fields of life. It affects all sectors, including the education sector. The government through the Ministry of Education and Culture makes a policy in education in terms of the learning process. Teaching and learning activities that were initially carried out face to face become distance learning which was carried out at home. In this study, a systematic literature review is conducted on automatic assessment of essay answers. Various previous studies discuss the essay answer scoring system that has been developed using various methods. We synthesize the results to enrich our understanding of the automated essay exam scoring system. The expected result of this research is that it can contribute to further research related to the automated essay exam scoring system, especially in terms of considering methods and dataset forms. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. A lot of research on task-oriented chatbots has been carried out to improve research on intent recognition. However, there are not many studies that discuss out-of-scope. This study introduces the use of threshold for classification results. The use of threshold improves recall performance of OOS detection above baseline for BiLSTM but reduces recall inside scope for all models. Directly applying multiclass classification with combined class of inside scope and out of scope also showed higher recall than baseline. © 2022 IEEE.

- An online learning system is a learning approach that typically uses a one fit for all approach in which all student abilities are considered the same so that the provision of learning materials provided is the same for all students. In contrast, a personalization learning system is a teaching and learning approach in which students are positioned as the learning centers and the students are motivated and facilitated to overcome their learning needs based on their learning speed and understanding of the learning process carried out to achieve. In the context of learning, learning materials and learning objectives are the main components that are interrelated in achieving the expected learning outcomes. However, the relationship between learning materials, especially in prerequisite courses, must have similarities so that the learning process can continue in accordance with the learning outcomes to be achieved. This paper presents an experiment results of the proposed the recommendation system modeling for personalization learning model implemented using Content-Based Collaborative Filtering model. In the proposed recommender system model, similarities between the learning materials and the description of the course being are computed as basis for developing recommended learning materials to students. The recommendation system modeling for personalized learning is applied as a solution to achieve learning goals and minimize dropouts due to the inability of students to understand the learning process in online learning systems. The results given in the research are modeling of an adaptive learning personalization recommendation system to provide recommendations for students who do not reach the minimum competency standards. © 2022 IEEE.

The use of the Internet of Things (IoT) has been widely adopted for a lot of purposes. Business process automation is one type of implementation that has been carried out. In addition, the data successfully captured by the IoT ecosystem can be utilized for various computer modeling needs, including the decision model construction in assessing room quality. The decision model itself is a computer model supporting the decision maker in decision making process. This research, via four simple research stages, aims to develop an IoT-based decision model to evaluate room quality based on two parameters: temperature and humidity. The design of the IoT environment and the implementation of temperature and humidity data readings in a room are used as input data for a decision model to assess the comfort level of the room. In this study, the primary method used to design the model is object-oriented, while fuzzy logic is employed to build the model. The developed decision model can simulate data captured from the designed IoT ecosystem, successfully assessing the comfort level of a room. From the simulation results using 18 data points (from 9 days of data capturing) captured by temperature and humidity sensors, the average comfort level of the room was found to be 19.7873.

Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD) is happening because the heart stops pumping the blood to the brain, lungs, et cetera, which will cause death within an hour. With this high risk and low survivability rate, real-time Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring systems have become a solution to tackle this problem. The system needs to be accessible at any time and condition by multiple users who bring up the needs of the availability and scalability of the system. Some research had been conducted on IoT monitoring system but still the result of availability and scalability not acceptable for a real-life scenario. The purpose of this research is to propose an architecture for a real-time IoT monitoring system for sudden cardiac death by using Kubernetes as the container orchestration and ProtocolBuffers as the Binary Serialization. The result shows us applying Kubernetes and ProtocolBuffers gives a good result with 100% successfully stored data and 50.5s end-to-end Execution time for 50000 requests which reflect a high availability and fast system. © 2021 IEEE.

As one of the cancer types with the highest incidence rates, colorectal cancer (CRC) would benefit from treatments with fewer side effects and reduced treatment-resistant potential. One of the options is to harness the anti-CRC potential of natural products. Previous studies have shown that Calamus draco exudate, dragon's blood, has anticancer activity in liver cancer and acute myeloid leukemia, but its bioactivity has not been studied in CRC. Here we conduct a bioinformatics study based on network pharmacology to explore the anti-CRC potential and mechanism of C. draco-derived compounds. The bioinformatics pipeline is composed of compound and target collection, biological network evaluation, and enrichment analysis. We found that there are 43 bioactive compounds from C. draco targeting 91 CRC-related targets, of which most compounds target MEN1, PTGS2, and IDH1. Further analyses show that the targets of C. draco are involved in the cellular response to hypoxia. By inhibiting those targets, C. draco bioactive compounds can potentially hinder angiogenesis and increase treatment response efficacy. © 2024 The Authors.

In educational institutions, an educator is responsible for assessing the student's knowledge grasp through examination. Creating exam questions, even the low-level factoid questions, is time-consuming, especially for inexperienced educators. Therefore, this study aims to create a sequence-to-sequence model using CopyNet by exploiting its copying mechanism advantage to automatically generate Bahasa Indonesia factoid questions to ease the educator's burden. Indonesian records in the TyDi QA dataset are used as the model input. GRU and Bi-GRU are employed as the CopyNet encoder, while LSTM is used as the CopyNet decoder. The model that utilizes GRU as the encoder achieves BLEU1, BLEU2, BLEU3, BLEU4, and ROUGE-L scores of 0.28, 0.19, 0.14, 0.1, and 0.32, respectively. Bi-GRU utilization as the model encoder achieves BLEU1, BLEU2, BLEU3, BLEU4, and ROUGE-L scores of 0.26, 0.17, 0.12, 0.09, and 0.30, respectively. Models using either encoder still achieve low scores. However, compared with the previous work, the result is still on par regarding the BLEU score. Further examination found that the generated questions do not adhere to semantic and syntactical correctness. Adding more records to the dataset and utilizing a more advanced architecture like CopyBERT are encouraged to improve the model performance in future work. Despite the result, this study has shown that CopyNet, primarily designed for text summarization or single-turn dialogue, can be tailored for factoid question generation. © 2024 The Authors.

Enterprise Architecture Framework (EAF) is a commonly used framework and the best solution for addressing and defining the transformation that needs to be built to support business operations. To be able to make the transition quickly, many higher education institutions (HEIs) are starting to adopt EAF. This research aims to help the evolution and transpiration of enterprise architecture research in higher education. This research uses a systematic literature review (SLR) research method which includes several steps, namely identifying research questions, identifying research sources, using keywords to complete the data discovery process, disseminating data, and analyzing the results to answer research questions. The data used comes from digital libraries, especially Emerald Insight, IEEE Xplore Digital Library, and science Direct. Data taken from 2019 to 2023 in RIS format will then be analyzed and visualized using VosViewer. The results of this research are to find the growth of research publications over five years, find research trends on enterprise architecture frameworks, identify relationships between scientific concepts, and determine the knowledge network of enterprise architecture frameworks based on keywords. © 2023 IEEE.
