The ability of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to accurately discriminate between normal and tumorous brain tissues has been promising. The review focuses on the different CNN models, pre-processing methods, data augmentation, and Transfer Learning (TL) strategies used in this research. This Systematic Literature Review (SLR) collected the data from Google Scholar. The results of this study indicate that open-source datasets from Kaggle and Brain MRI Images for Brain Tumor Detection are the most used datasets. However, limited data and imbalanced class problems remain common challenges across various datasets. To overcome those challenges, using a larger dataset, oversampling, Generative Adversarial Network (GAN), federated learning, and Self-Supervised Learning (SSL) to handle the imbalance are the potential solution. Additionally, popular CNN architectures for brain tumor classification extensively use pre-trained models such as VGG16, VGG19, DenseNet121, DenseNet201, GoogleNet, ResNet-50, and Inception-v3. TL strategies are preferred, allowing CNNs to leverage knowledge from large datasets, improving generalization even with limited labeled data.

Applications designed utilizing Microservices Architecture (MSA) provide the desirable trait of good maintainability. To ensure optimal maintainability, it is important to provide services that are suitable and adhere to prescribed rules. Multiple aspects must be taken into account while designing services to ensure optimal maintainability. The objective of this study is to examine the elements that impact the capacity to sustain and improve maintainability in service design, ultimately resulting in an application that possesses strong maintainability. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) will be utilized to identify variables and strategies for their enhancement, by examining pertinent publications on the subject. After examining 45 publications, the study discovered 8 elements and 14 solutions that can enhance the highlighted parameters throughout the services design process. The outcomes of this systematic literature review (SLR) are anticipated to give valuable insights to application developers, empowering them to generate service designs that exhibit commendable maintainability for the developed applications.

This systematic literature review explores the application of transformer models in early detection of human depression, encompassing text, audio, and video data modalities. Transformer architectures, notably BERT for text, have proven adept at capturing crucial contextual and linguistic patterns associated with depression. For audio and video data, hybrid approaches that combine transformer models with other architectures are prevalent. Key features considered include eye gaze, head pose, facial muscle movements, and audio characteristics such as MFCC and Log-mel Spectrogram, along with text embeddings. Performance comparisons underscore the superiority of text-based data in consistently delivering the most promising results, followed by audio and video modalities when utilizing transformer models. The fusion of multiple modalities emerges as an effective strategy for enhancing predictive accuracy, with the amalgamation of audio, video, and text data yielding the most precise outcomes. However, it is noteworthy that unimodal approaches also exhibit potential, with text data exhibiting superior performance over audio and video data. Nevertheless, several challenges persist in this research domain, including imbalanced datasets, the limited availability of comprehensive and diverse samples, and the inherent complexities in interpreting visual cues. Addressing these challenges remains imperative for the continued advancement of depression detection using transformer-based models across various modalities.

Domain data can be shifted in any direction so it will be shared in different distributions to its original domain. This could be a problem since the model was trained with different distributions. It is found that adversarial domain adaptation using domain adversarial neural networks (DANN) can help to solve this problem on some scale. DANN can minimize the discrepancy between source and target data so the model can work well in both domains. The experiment is done by utilizing MNIST dataset that shifted into some conditions. In a condition when the shifting of distribution is too far, DANN is struggling to maintain the knowledge extracted from source data which leads to underperformance in the source and target domain. In contrast, when the shifting is closer, DANN can easily fit the model so it can perform well in both domains. It proves DANN is one of the good approaches to performing domain adaptation in small discrepancies. © 2023 IEEE.

Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to human-like intelligence exhibited by computers, robots, or other machines. In popular use, artificial intelligence refers to the ability of a computer or machine to mimic the ability of the human mind to learn from examples and experiences, recognize objects, understand and respond to language, make decisions, solve problems, and combine these and other abilities to perform functions that humans might perform. Artificial intelligence requires experience and data to smarten up the technology. The most important things in making artificial intelligence are learning, reasoning, and self-correction. At the learning stage, AI gives machines the ability to learn tasks without requiring a defined programming language. Then, the reasoning stage is the stage where the reason AI is applied in a technology. The self-correction stage is the stage where the AI is refining itself from and learning from experience in order to minimize errors or problems that exist. Then, this matter is concerned with the parking lot to be discussed. Parking can be interpreted as public facilities available in agencies or offices that serve to store vehicles. Vehicles entering the parking area become tens or even thousands, because it requires a parking system and management area. Such arrangements are capable of parking procedures and even other support systems such as adequate parking facilities and infrastructure, and another function is to create and develop parking systems in general to provide safety and comfort. The methodology obtained from this problem is checking the research model to check and find out the comparison of vehicle user’s Parking System Security between cars or motorcycles, as well as the usual parking lots visited. Then, we created a questionnaire. This study used questionnaires with the aim to get respondents’ results about the Parking Security System. Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a prevalent mental disorder, affecting a significant number of individuals, with estimates reaching 300 million cases worldwide. Currently, the diagnosis of this condition relies heavily on subjective assessments based on the experience of medical professionals. Therefore, researchers have turned to deep learning models to explore the detection of depression. The objective of this review is to gather information on detecting depression based on facial expressions in videos using deep learning techniques. Overall, this research found that RNN models achieved 7.22 MAE for AVEC2014. LSTM models produced 4.83 MAE for DAIC-WOZ, while GRU models achieved an accuracy of 89.77% for DAIC-WOZ. Features like Facial Action Units (FAU), eye gaze, and landmarks show great potential and need to be further analyzed to improve results. Analysis can include applying feature engineering techniques. Aggregation methods, such as mean calculation, are recommended as effective approaches for data processing. This Systematic Literature Review found that facial expressions do have relevant patterns related to MDD.

In the high-performance computing domain, Field programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is a novel accelerator that exhibits high flexibility and performance characteristics distinct from other accelerators such as the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). Recent advanced high-end FPGA is equipped with multiple channels of high speed optical link up to 100Gbps performance for each. This is a crucial feature when we construct PC clusters with FPGAs as accelerators, however it is not easy to utilize from user kernels because this feature is implemented in low level and simple direct communication between neighboring FPGAs. In order to provide the communication feature between FPGAs for accelerated PC clusters, we developed a communication system named CIRCUS which implies a user-friendly API from OpenCL and is equipped with routing function over multi-hop communication on multi-dimensional torus network of FPGAs. However, current CIRCUS only provides a point-to-point communication between source and destination FPGAs. In ordinary parallel processing environment such as MPI, the user program the message passing with various collective communication functions for parallel algorithm, for instance Allreduce, Allgather, etc. In this paper, we implement the collective communication function over CIRCUS for user-friendly programming of ordinary parallel algorithms on FPGAs. As the first target, we implement Allreduce function which is the most essential and important function. The paper describes the CIRCUS system briefly followed by the design, implementation and preliminary performance evaluation on Intel Stratix10 FPGAs. © 2023 ACM.

This paper presents an empiric results of aspectbased sentiment analysis in education to extract and classify opinions, sentiments, evaluations, attitudes, and emotions from newly graduates of an online learning program. As part of continuous education monitoring system, the sentiment analysis process produces valuable input to leverage service quality of online learning program. In this study, the aspect-based sentiment analysis is implemented to analyze a set of feedbacks from 162 newly graduate from binus Online program majoring in Accounting, Management, Information System, and computer science. The important qualitative results of this study are confirmation that the main benefits of online learning from student perspective are mainly: the knowledge they gained from the program, learning guidance, reliable student team to work on thesis, quality of education support system, and learning happiness. © 2022 IEEE.

Rapid progress in the field of artificial intelligence has created opportunities for extensive applications in software development. One area that receives attention is the evaluation of code quality using machine learning techniques. In this investigation, we examined the possible application of machine learning to predict the likelihood of defects in computer code. We employ NASA archival data as case studies. Machine learning models employ neural network algorithms. Our exploration involves partitioning the dataset into training data and test data for performance evaluation. The findings indicate that the Neural Organize technique with resampling yields a high level of accuracy in predicting software defects. Our simulated neural network is capable of identifying intricate patterns in the data and providing precise measurements of the size and intensity of defects. These results have significant implications in the software business, enabling developers to promptly identify possible vulnerabilities and take preventive measures before product release.
