Post-pandemic and globalization have accelerated the implementation of Industry 4.0, aided by rapid technological and information advancements. Industry 4.0 has significant consequences for all institutions in developing ICT infrastructure, one of which is educational institutions. Despite the enthusiasm in all educational institutions for using ICT to improve teaching and learning, particularly in universities, integrating technology is becoming problematic. Integrating ICT infrastructure in universities is a multidimensional process involving technology and curriculum, pedagogy, institutional readiness, lecturer competence, and long-term financial planning. Because of this, it is essential to explain the adoption of technology within the scope of this study to make the most of investments made in the integrated ICT infrastructure of the university using the UTAUT2 method. © 2022 IEEE.

Simulation-based learning is one of the most powerful tools to support the educational process. This learning offers an opportunity to learn based on experiences that are very similar to real-world environments. In the context of logistics, which can be considered a complex system, significant efforts are required to enhance students' understanding and practical skills. For that reason, simulations are used so that benefits such as skills and knowledge in the field of logistics can be achieved. However, there are currently several challenges in developing simulation-based learning in higher education. These challenges include the need for simulations that are appropriate for the current learning context, where the students are generally from Generation Z, and how to improve their learning quality in the era of Industry 4.0. To address these challenges, more suitable simulations need to be developed, and higher education institutions must carefully examine how to develop them, including identifying the essential components in the development of simulations for logistics learning. In this research, a systematic literature review using the PRISMA method and also creating a conceptual model of simulation that better meets the current needs of logistics education will be proposed. The results of this research can be used as a basis for developing updated simulations to better prepare students for the challenges of Industry 4.0.

The projected increase in PayLater utilization reaches up to five million people by 2025. To optimize the yearly profit from their PayLater service, fintech companies must examine all possible risks before a unanimous decision is taken. Therefore, we proposed a unified decision framework derived from decision theory and the Monte Carlo simulation technique. Two schemes were coined: (1) a decision-making scheme, and (2) a risk simulation scheme. Throughout experiments, the framework was able to estimate several alternative decisions and their impacts, analyze the causes of failure and delays in the development of the PayLater service, and execute Monte Carlo simulations in up to 10,000 trials. Outputs of this study will benefit decision-makers in the fintech initiative before launching their PayLater products. © 2023 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

Online transactions are significant in the pandemic era. Using online transactions can minimize the risk of physical contact with disease transmission between buyers and sellers. However, with so many choices of items, it becomes challenging for users to decide which item suits their needs. For this reason, the recommender system was created as a handy tool. Recommender systems can help provide ratings, compare with other user data, use personal transaction history, use current events, or combine the above methods. Currently, computer science experts are constantly trying to improve recommender systems. In 2017 a new method emerged that uses transformers as one of the deep learning models. The combination of recommender systems and transformers can process extensive data, create different weights for each input data, and process data without sequentially allowing parallel processing and reducing training time significantly. Many papers in various countries are continuously trying to improve this methodology. In this literature review, we try to analyze the technology used, the dataset used, and the area where the technology is implemented. In this case, we carry out collecting papers, then filtering, classifying and analyzing, and making conclusions. © 2022 IEEE.

To ensure the sustainability of their operations, higher education institutions have to establish a robust strategic plan. Higher education institutions have an obligation to continuously assess the quality of their educational offerings in every program to comply with the standards established by the government and other educational entities. The implementation of intelligent decision support systems is a feasible approach among other techniques for addressing the aforementioned challenges. An intelligent decision support system has the potential to enable the business to uphold its adherence to regulations, enhance operational effectiveness, and optimize overall performance. This study aimed to determine the current state of intelligent decision support systems through the implementation of a comprehensive literature review. The second goal is to evaluate the best practices, methods, and implementation of intelligent decision support systems within higher education institutions. The findings indicate that intelligent decision support systems have the capacity to serve as a viable option for higher education, particularly in terms of enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of decision-making processes. Intelligent decision support systems exhibit a strong correlation with the fields of data mining and computational intelligence techniques. Nevertheless, the amount of research conducted on this subject is limited. © 2023 IEEE.

The box office (BO) income had significantly declined up to 80% in 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic emerged. To minimize further financial risks, multiplex (multiple cinema complexes) owners need to analyze their potential income for each movie, each week. Therefore, we developed a proper data mining strategy that allows multiplex owners to analyze and discover insights on how successfully produced movies could be. The methodology comprises (1) data loading and exploration, (2) data cleaning, (3) data selection, integration, and transformation using Pentaho, (4) data mining in which the results were stored in the MySQL database, and (5) pattern evaluation and presentation using Qlik Sense as the Business Intelligence (BI) dashboard. Based on our data mining methodology, we revealed that drama, comedy, action, and thriller are favorite genres. We also found that DreamWorks Animation and Pixar Animation Studios are both the most popular production houses, even Apatow Productions and Escape Artists still have the biggest revenue on average. © 2022 The Authors. In general, public or private organizations or companies have used information-based technology as a support to improve business performance to be more effective and efficient in order to achieve a company's business goals. Banking companies include companies that use information technology such as Mobile Banking in their services. Mobile banking is a banking facility or service using mobile communication tools such as mobile phones, with the provision of facilities for banking transactions through mobile applications. Even though they have used a good SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), there are still many obstacles that occur, especially system problems and human errors. This can result in a high risk if it occurs continuously and will be fatal to the company's business processes. Therefore, COBIT 5 can be used as a benchmark for the IT assessment process on local bank mobile banking services. The purpose of the study is to determine the level of capability and strategy for improving risk management. The method used in this study is to focus on IT risk management with the COBIT 5 framework in the Evaluate Direct Monitoring (EDM) 3 domain, Align Plain Organize (APO) 12. From the results of the analysis, the calculation of the capability level is at Level 1 Performed Process with a score of 82.04%, thus the status has evidence as well as a systematic approach and this achievement is obtained significantly through the assessment of process attributes. © 2022 IEEE.

Reduced alertness because of fatigue or drowsiness accounts for a major cause of road accidents globally. To minimize the likelihood of alertness reduction-related crashes, a video-based detection emerges as a non-intrusive method and can offer high accuracy for the countermeasure development. Many Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques have been developed to aid in video analysis for fatigue detection. However, the issues in AI-based video analysis for fatigue countermeasure development are rarely discussed. This paper reviews current video-based countermeasure development in the literature and highlights some reliability issues of AI-based fatigue countermeasure development in terms of underlying dataset, labelling method, and alertness level classification. The result serves as insights and consideration to academics and industrialists in developing a high reliable AI-based video analysis for driver fatigue countermeasure. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.

The advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI), notably in Natural Language Processing (NLP), has been remarkable. Among its applications, Question-Answering (QA) systems stand out, assisting users in accessing pertinent information across various topics, including religious contexts. Religion plays a significant role in providing guidance on moral values to modern society, such as tolerance, compassion and social norms. Religious practices taught by religion serve as significant foundations for addressing the increasingly advancing influence of technology. The primary goal of this paper is to create a question-answering system proficient in analyzing user inquiries and precisely extracting data from translated Indonesian Hadith datasets. This research endeavors to enhance question-answering accuracy through Deep Learning techniques. Employing pre-processing methods, the system interprets user query intents. Furthermore, the Text-to-Text Transfer Transformer (T5), a text-based language Transformer model, is utilized to streamline the retrieval process for Hadith-related queries based on relevant subjects. The research findings demonstrate the precision of answers through BLEU and ROUGE scores. The novelty of this study lies in the creation of a dataset of hadith translations in Indonesian and the fine-tuning of the T5 model that has been trained using a dataset of questions and answers based on these translations. This research demonstrates the following evaluation scores: BLEU: 0.606, ROUGE-1: 0.702, ROUGE-2: 0.548, and ROUGE-L: 0.701, indicating that the answers generated by this particular research model are better compared to those produced using the standard mT5 model.

Supplier evaluation has a crucial role in maintaining efficiency in the food industry supply chain. Machine learning approaches can be employed to formulate models aimed at analyzing and evaluating supplier performance. Previous research has successfully designed decision tree and neural network models for assessing suppliers in the food industry with accuracies of 84.2% and 92.8% separately. Recognizing the opportunity to improve the model's performance, this study aims to advancing the machine learning models accuracy for analyzing and evaluating suppliers in the food industry. Two main models are proposed to enhance model accuracy: ensemble methods and support vector machine. This research has successfully designed a supplier evaluation model and demonstrated that the ensemble method - gradient boosting model outperforms other ensemble methods and support vector machine which is achieved a accuracy of 93.6% on a cross-validation dataset. The development of a dashboard is required to implement the supplier evaluation model using machine learning, facilitating decision-makers in evaluating and controlling supplier performance. © 2023 The Authors.
