Currently, Indonesia and the whole world are being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic which has an impact on various fields of life. It affects all sectors, including the education sector. The government through the Ministry of Education and Culture makes a policy in education in terms of the learning process. Teaching and learning activities that were initially carried out face to face become distance learning which was carried out at home. In this study, a systematic literature review is conducted on automatic assessment of essay answers. Various previous studies discuss the essay answer scoring system that has been developed using various methods. We synthesize the results to enrich our understanding of the automated essay exam scoring system. The expected result of this research is that it can contribute to further research related to the automated essay exam scoring system, especially in terms of considering methods and dataset forms. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. Air pollution has emerged as a critical issue in several major urban areas, including Jakarta. To address this problem, the study explores the utilization of the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) method. Three distinct approaches are investigated in this research: the Support Vector Classifier (SVC), Deep Artificial Neural Network (Deep ANN), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The available Air Quality data were utilized to train and assess the performance of the proposed ANN models. The research findings reveal that the Deep ANN model surpasses the other methods, achieving an impressive accuracy of approximately 96.57% and a cross-entropy value of 0.1103. In predicting air quality in Jakarta, Deep ANN has demonstrated superior performance when compared to SVC and LSTM. These results highlight the significant potential of deploying Deep Artificial Neural Network (ANN) methodologies for air quality prediction. Such an approach could play a pivotal role in the development of monitoring and early warning systems aimed at effectively addressing air quality issues in the Jakarta region. © 2023 IEEE.

Neural style transfer is a technique to transfer a style of an artistic image to another photorealistic image. The early development of this technique is exploiting the intermediate output of a deep learning model and utilizing it to optimize a targeted image. However, this technique needs some time to finish the process. An approach called knowledge distillation is widely used to optimize deep learning models so the speed of the model can be increased. Commonly, this technique is applied in a supervised task by providing a soft label as a target label for the student model. In this paper, a method is proposed to enable knowledge distillation happened in style transfer tasks. It is found this method is effective enough to make the style transfer process faster and give good results. In this paper also some discussion has been elaborated regarding the condition that is adequate to produce a good student model for style transfer tasks using knowledge distillation. © 2022 IEEE.

- An online learning system is a learning approach that typically uses a one fit for all approach in which all student abilities are considered the same so that the provision of learning materials provided is the same for all students. In contrast, a personalization learning system is a teaching and learning approach in which students are positioned as the learning centers and the students are motivated and facilitated to overcome their learning needs based on their learning speed and understanding of the learning process carried out to achieve. In the context of learning, learning materials and learning objectives are the main components that are interrelated in achieving the expected learning outcomes. However, the relationship between learning materials, especially in prerequisite courses, must have similarities so that the learning process can continue in accordance with the learning outcomes to be achieved. This paper presents an experiment results of the proposed the recommendation system modeling for personalization learning model implemented using Content-Based Collaborative Filtering model. In the proposed recommender system model, similarities between the learning materials and the description of the course being are computed as basis for developing recommended learning materials to students. The recommendation system modeling for personalized learning is applied as a solution to achieve learning goals and minimize dropouts due to the inability of students to understand the learning process in online learning systems. The results given in the research are modeling of an adaptive learning personalization recommendation system to provide recommendations for students who do not reach the minimum competency standards. © 2022 IEEE.

The expansion of deep learning techniques, as well as the availability of large audio/sound datasets, have fueled tremendous breakthroughs in audio/sound classification during the last several years. The transfer learning approach has emerged as one of the primary approaches for improving the accuracy and durability of classification systems. This study conducts a comprehensive comparative analysis to determine the effectiveness and performance of this method in environment sound classification. This current investigation focuses on environmental sound classification using VGGish and YAMNet pre-trained models with the ESC-50 and BDLib2 datasets. In the ESC-50 dataset, VGGish improves accuracy to 372.22%, while YAMNet improves accuracy to 383.33% when compared to baseline models. Similarly, in the BDLib2 dataset, accuracy increases significantly to 221.43% with VGGish and 246.43% with YAMNet. Transfer learning exhibits remarkable effectiveness in enhancing model performance, with significant accuracy boosts observed in both datasets. YAMNet, designed specifically for sound classification tasks, surpasses VGGish in improving environmental sound classification performance, potentially due to its architecture's adaptability and diverse training on environmental sounds. © 2024 IEEE.

A lot of research on task-oriented chatbots has been carried out to improve research on intent recognition. However, there are not many studies that discuss out-of-scope. This study introduces the use of threshold for classification results. The use of threshold improves recall performance of OOS detection above baseline for BiLSTM but reduces recall inside scope for all models. Directly applying multiclass classification with combined class of inside scope and out of scope also showed higher recall than baseline. © 2022 IEEE.

Emotion Recognition is one field that is taking the world by storm in this current age. Multimodal emotion recognition has shown promising results however, previous studies shows that recognition using speech is a field has not performed that greatly. Previous research used popular methods such as CNN, RNN, and other machine learning methods has been used to achieved good results with the help of other modality, where if speech were to be used alone the results won't be as good. A factor that contributes to the result of the speech modality not performing as well is the fact of the dataset and the way it was processed. Therefore, this research looks into what makes speech one of the lowest performing modalities by preprocessing the dataset using a different method than previous researches as well as using a CNN model paired with a Transformer model. Results achieved from this research showed an improvement when using IEMOCAP by 8.09% and MELD by 1.06%. A comparison results of using the pre-processed data with previous studies model was also done to compare the results. In conclusion, this research has explored a different preprocessing method and deep learning model that has achieved results better than previous works with the same dataset. © 2025 IEEE.

Since the corona pandemic, many internet users have maximized their interactions with the internet to minimize face-to-face meetings. As a result, many collaborative filtering algorithms, which are part of recommender systems, have been optimized so that users can obtain the best results. Collaborative filtering is an approach to providing recommendations that relies on the interactions and preferences of past users. Essentially, recommendations are generated by considering how users with similar preferences and behaviors have interacted. There are two primary forms of collaborative filtering: user-user and item-item. User-user collaborative filtering suggests recommendations based on users who share similar preferences with the current user. On the other hand, item-item collaborative filtering suggests recommendations based on items that are frequently selected together by other users. Both types of collaborative filtering rely on user interaction and preference data to deliver effective results. The latest trend related to collaborative filtering involves the use of geographic information. This paper aims to map the research developments related to collaborative filtering with geographic information in recent years, including the algorithms used, implementation issues, and challenges faced. Our hope is that this research can provide an overview of where this technology is heading. © 2023 IEEE.

In online-based virtual worlds such as Metaverse, Online Games, and other online digital spaces, the virtual/digital goods (digital items / digital assets) are fundamental things that must be available to be able to do business & create an economy in the virtual world through monetization & transactions from these digital goods. This research focuses on summarizing and exploring the attributes used in digital goods in the virtual world by extracting attributes in digital goods from other related studies using the Systematic Literature Review methodology & PRISMA Framework comprehensively so that it can be a reference for developers in designing the properties and functions of digital goods in the virtual world that are being developed, which in this case will be in the form of an NFT in the future. Based on research that has been carried out, 3 essential metadata attributes have the most influence on transactions, number 1 Visual Design / Aesthetic (Representative), number 2 Effect (Utilities), and number 3 Statistics / Performance (Utilities) which must be considered in developing/making digital goods in the form of NFTs in the virtual world so that the value of digital goods can attract users to buy or transact them in the virtual world. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent times, there has been considerable attention directed towards Facial Expression Recognition (FER) due to its extensive utility across diverse domains. However, the universality of facial expressions has been challenged by studies suggesting that cultural backgrounds significantly influence the perception and recognition of emotions. This paper addresses the need for culturally specific datasets in FER tasks, particularly in underrepresented regions like Indonesia. The study introduces dynamic images as an alternative input representation for facial expression recognition tasks, aiming to assess their efficacy using the Indonesian Mixed Emotions Dataset (IMED). Through experimentation using EfficientNet model, the performance of dynamic images is compared with static image and video inputs. Results indicate that dynamic images exhibit promising performance, with an accuracy of 94.28%. These results outperform static image datasets and nearly match the performance of video-based models, which achieved an accuracy of 97.93 %, despite using fewer data. Nonetheless, challenges such as data imbalance and the quality of generated dynamic images persist, suggesting avenues for further research and model refinement. This study provides valuable insights into methodological advancements in FER, particularly in limited dataset conditions, laying the groundwork for future developments in dynamic image-based facial expression recognition algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.
