The energy crisis requires more generation capability, and that is why the importance of the storage technologies increases. In the liberalized energy market the energy storage activity, this way of the ldquoenergy speculationrdquo is welcome. In this paper a small scale buy-sale optimization strategy is investigated. In the budapest Tech a model has been built in the renewable energy park. The strategy could be realized in practice by our small scale pumped storage hydro plant, Fuel cell, wind turbine and PV system.

I asked the students to fill out a Web based Informatics Test on the first week of the semester. This test was supposed to show the level of their computer knowledge which can be the basic in higher education. The results show the students do not get all the cognition that is specified in the National Ground Curriculum, for instance they have obtrusive lacks in the field of programming, database management, which should be compensated in higher education without relying on previous studies. According to the comparison of the three majors of the faculty it becomes obvious there is no correlation between the informatics skills and the applied major.

Worldwide it is more and more common that the systems of the national governance, army, education etc. are retooled to open source systems - mainly because of the economical operation. The purpose of the article is to analyze and compare - in the aspects of security and performance - the abilities of the Web server ensured by the newest version of the most commonly spread closed source operation system platform (Microsoft Windows Server 2008) and by the version of one of the most commonly used GNU/Linux distribution server (Ubuntu Linux Server Edition).

To increase the clean and renewable energy used presently, energy could be extracted from the sea. Here an Archimedes wave swing (AWS) park is proposed to convert the motion of the sea waves into electricity with a capacity of 90 MW. In order to find the most suitable way to connect these devices, various electrical components are used which need to be modeled precisely to carry out the calculations and simulations. Several different topologies are implemented by linking up the devices to each other and to the electrical network and they will be evaluated according to important electrical and economical factors. The interest lies primarily in identifying farm configurations with a low cost profile and high efficiency.

In order to improve the accuracy, robustness, and computational load of c-means clustering models, a series of hybrid solutions have been proposed. Mixtures of fuzzy (FCM) and possibilistic c-means (PCM) clustering generally attempted to avoid the noise sensitivity of the former and the coincident clusters of the latter. On the other hand, mixtures of fuzzy and hard c-means (HCM) have been proposed to speed up fuzzy clustering without losing the quality of its partitions. In this paper, a novel hybrid c-means algorithmic scheme is proposed that unifies the objective functions of all three conventional clustering models. The strength of each component within the mixture is controlled by two tradeoff parameters. The optimization of the proposed objective function is achieved using the alternating optimization derived from zero gradient conditions and Lagrange multipliers. The novel hybrid's behavior is evaluated in terms of classification accuracy, cluster validity and execution time, using the IRIS data set. Suitably chosen tradeoff parameters enable the proposed algorithm to achieve better accuracy than previous models, while performing less computations.

The LOGSYS Development Environment is used as a versatile tool in different levels of the education of the ***. and ***. Embedded System courses. The motivation at the introduction was to provide an affordable platform to every student, which offers compatibility with the existing industry standard solutions, while can support practical design work from the basic examples, through simple systems, up to the modern model based methodologies. The main components of the solution include the FPGA board, the development cable and the user application. The USB powered compact board makes possible its usage during class work, allowing direct experience on the presented topics. The LOGSYS tool set is compatible with the major Xilinx software components, like ISE, EDK, ChipScope, and offers the usability of MATLAB Simulink/System Generator and LabVIEW FPGA Module. These two later model based methodologies are very useful in case of the DSP and control type applications.

The need to improve the performance and the efficiency of the existing HSPA systems resulted in the 3 GPP study item HSPA Evolution. The proposed system architecture for Evolved HSPA is a flat one, where network nodes are interconnected with packet based transport. As a result of the flat architecture, mobility control and handover decisions are done by the Evolved HSPA Node B that incorporates the RNC functionalities as well. During handovers the uplink traffic is forwarded through the Iur interface to the serving Evolved HSPA Node B that is combining the received flows and forwards the combined flow towards the core network. The system performance and efficiency can be improved by reducing the amount of the forwarded traffic. This paper discusses the available option and proposes an alternative solution that has minimal impact on the delay sensitive real time traffic. The improvement options are evaluated with simulations. The results are showing that the alternative forwarding strategies are improving the efficiency of the system.

The aim of the paper to point to the main difference between a model airplane operated by a hobby modelist and an unmanned aerial vehicle applied or can be applied by military forces. Nowadays many amateur have begun converting model airplanes into UAVs. The aim of these conversions are mostly aerial photography and video capturing. In more and more cases these systems provide live video and telemetry data that is used to display the current position by a pc. These are publicated as micro UAVs on various Internet portals. Systems like these are barely more than a high quality hobby devices. Not the plane construction, nor the applied electronics nor the software in these devices provides the minimal criteria of the professional usage. The bigger problem is that in many cases the chance of further development is impossible due to the limits of the applied technologies and method in relation of longer range of mission, flight safety questions and mass productivity etc.

This paper explores a new approach for the optical generation of frequency agile RF subcarriers. In addition to rapid frequency hopping we demonstrated effective quadrature amplitude modulated (QAM) of the microwave carrier. The approach is compatible with Radio-over-Fiber (RoF) communications and is particularly well suited for applications that require high data rates and security. The research presented here emphasizes proof-of-concept experimentations and addresses the technological requirements to fully exploit its potential.
