The next generation of intelligent systems provides information processing, retrieval and transfer services for an arbitrary number of users in a transparent way. The structure of large networks is dynamically changing because of failures and modifications. Besides, it must support user mobility as well. The information to be handled extends beyond the traditional fixed type precise and deterministic information, approximating the ones used in natural languages. Such a system cannot be handled by the classical models. The intelligent system can be modelled as having logical, temporal and topological structures together with operations on these structures. The architecture proposed is based on the demand driven information processing model with static or dynamic task allocation over inhomogeneous or homogeneous resource types and network structures. The processing nodes may employ any mix of the four basic information processing models (control, data, demand and information driven models). Introducing a model time as a partially ordered set of events, an evolutionary system can be considered, both in its capabilities and structure. The services of the intelligent system are provided by intelligent mobile agents.

Recent wireless networks offer more bandwidth than ever. High quality services are developed and provided by the operators, the number of users is constantly increasing. As the transferred data and the number of terminals are growing, the network providers have to face the increasing complexity of the network management and operation tasks. In this paper we observe the estimation and prediction of users' distribution in a cellular network. We compare the accuracy of mobility models serving for location prediction with our enhanced user motion prediction algorithm.

In the past few decades, medical and biological researches gained more and more attention. The ever-growing need for such researches caused many medical applications to develop. Collecting data from a living human body is a complex task and needs circumspection. In this paper, specific issues of the most important part of such a data acquisition system is presented, the design of a low pass filter. The major issue to overcome in the design of a system that is aimed at being built into the human body is creating large value capacitances needed to the realization of filters for the specific application. After presenting the special requirements for low pass filters for medical applications the method of creating large capacitors is presented in details in the paper.

The tariff packages in the mobile telecommunication industry have got more and more complex in the last few years. The telecommunication companies have introduced several different services among with different discounts and allowances, and the price calculation of the service, and the understand of prices became harder for the subscribers. Because of this, the advice of charge functionality is sorely needed. Sadly, the legacy charging systems do not have the appropriate mathematical model to aid this functionality. In this paper we present a novel model for price calculation, which is capable of the advice of charge functionality. Moreover we present three different AoC models, and we show their advantages with a simulation.

The wireless indoor communication system applying an optical transparent backbone provides an economic and flexible approach for local area networks in office buildings. The performance of the system is enhanced by assigning specific subcarriers for the individual picocells which enables the transmission of the wireless channels without altering their modulation format. This method allows for a simple, and low-cost communication system. Cascadability is critically important, because several electrical subcarriers are transmitted on the same optical signal. It is shown by numerical simulation and measurement that SOA modulator provides acceptable nonlinear distortion for SubCarrier multiplexed telecommunication systems. It demand more advanced amplifier-modulator working state planning. The temperature and the optical reflection have also important role in linearity.

This article deals with manual and automatic constraint propagation, orthogonalization and linearization used to reduce search space in a particular modeling environment. Meanwhile, it presents industrial and educational scheduling problems. The article introduces the SIMONEK modeling language, some heuristics and search techniques, and deals with some automatically obtainable constraints. Examples of solving the presented problems and a remodeled ILP problem are also presented. Finally, common methods to formulate linear models from non-linear real-world problems in the particular modeling language are presented.

Since lead-free soldering is initiated in the electronic industry in 1 st of July 2006, studying the behaviour of lead-free solders in depth is more important than ever. The small chip components of present day demand for very accurate component placement machines, in order to prevent common reflow failures such as skewing or tombstoning. The ability of components to be self-aligned during soldering works against these failures, therefore it matters to what extent the solder promote this effect. Dynamic behaviour of SMT (surface mount technology) chip components during lead-free reflow soldering is demonstrated in the paper, especially focusing on movement. A force model is given by the virtue of the four forces, which have effect on the chip during reflow soldering, namely: the force originating from hydrostatic and capillary pressure, the force of gravity, the force of dynamic friction and the force originating from the surface tension. The self-alignment of 0603 size chip components has been investigated in our experiment. The experiments were carried out using lasercut stainless steel stencil and SAC305 type lead-free solder paste. The results have shown that the self-alignment of components does occur even in the case of 400-500 mum misplacements.

The contact free vibrating capacitor method is a valuable tool for investigating the surface potentials of solid surfaces. The purpose of the present article is to summarize the theory and capabilities of the vibrating capacitor method, especially scanning vibrating capacitor pictures in the MEMS testing. After a brief review some results will be discussed, such as equilibrium and non-equilibrium surface potential maps taken from a MEMS resonator, a surface potential map from a cantilever testchip and some maps from a radial-channel micro-cooler plate and heat flux meter. Potential maps contain a lot of information concerning the surface conditions, included the inhomogeneities of the technology, static surface charge, bias and effects of other additional excitations. These potential maps may help in the development, quality control and defect analysis of the MEMS.

The electrochemical migration (ECM) is an important physical-chemical failure mechanism which limits the realization of fine pitch structures in the manufacturing technology of printed wiring boards (PWB). The cause of ECM is the material transport that leads to dendrite formation. Electrical shorts will grow between pads or leads in fine pitch applications. The mechanism of ECM can be described by electrochemical principles. Dendrites are treatable as a fractal phenomenon because these special formations are in accordance with the most significant criteria of the fractal theory. We have observed in pursuance of our experiment-series that there is relationship between the materials of selective surface finishes of printed wiring boards, mean time to failure (MTTF) done to the migration process and the shape and form of dendrites grown on the top of the substrates in lateral arrangement. If the result of failure analysis is shortage caused by ECM in form of dendrite structure then it is worth to examine the shape and form of dendrites. According to our conclusion the reason of failure can be found with simply and cheap methods and the most efficient protection can be applied if we apply the above-mentioned relationship.
