Coronal jets are one of the most common eruptive activities in the solar atmosphere. They are related to rich physics processes, including but not limited to magnetic reconnection, flaring, instabilities, and plasma heating. Automated identification of off-limb coronal jets has been difficult due to their abundant nature, complex appearance, and relatively small size compared to other features in the corona. In this paper, we present an automated coronal jet identification algorithm (AJIA) that utilizes true and fake jets previously detected by a laborious semi-automated jet detection algorithm (SAJIA, Liu et al. 2023) as the input of an image segmentation neural network U-NET. It is found that AJIA could achieve a much higher (0.81) detecting precision than SAJIA (0.34), meanwhile giving the possibility of whether each pixel in an input image belongs to a jet. We demonstrate that with the aid of artificial neural networks, AJIA could enable fast, accurate, and real-time coronal jet identification from SDO/AIA 304 Å observations, which are essential in studying the collective and long-term behavior of coronal jets and their relation with the solar activity cycles. Recently, efficient fine-grained access mechanism has been studied as a main concern in cloud storage area for several years. Attribute-based signcryption (ABSC) which is logical combination of attribute-based encryption(ABE) and attribute-based signature(ABS), can provide confidentiality, authenticity for sensitive data and anonymous authentication. At the same time it is more efficient than previous “encrypt-then-sign” and “sign-then-encrypt” patterns. However, most of the existing ABSC schemes fail to serve for real scenario of multiple authorities and have heavy communication overhead and computing overhead. Hence, we construct a novel ABSC scheme realizing multi-authority access control and constant-size ciphertext that does not depend on the number of attributes or authorities. Furthermore, our scheme provides public verifiability of the ciphertext and privacy protection for the signcryptor. Specially, it is proven to be secure in the standard model, including ciphertext indistinguishability under adaptive chosen ciphertext attacks and existential unforgeability under adaptive chosen message attack.

High impedance fault(HIF), especially tree contact single-phase-to-ground fault(TSF), often occurs in resonant grounding systems and are difficult to detect. Therefore, there is an urgent need for an effective TSF detection technology. In this paper, by analyzing the equivalent circuits of different impedance faults in resonant grounding system, and analyzing the transient zero-sequence components of underdamped state and overdamped state under different impedance, the conclusion is drawn: When a TSF occurs, the transient zero-sequence voltage will have a unique " Beat frequency " characteristic, and the problem of covering this phenomenon due to the imbalance of distribution network is effectively solved by fast independent component analysis(FastICA). Based on this conclusion, A fault detection method for TSF based on FastICA is proposed. Finally, the study conducted real experiments using two different impedance trees, bamboo and pine, to verify the proposed detection method. The results of the experiment found clear support for that the detection method is accurate and effective. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Higher-order Topological Parity Anomaly and Half-integer Hall Effect in High-dimensional Synthetic Lattices

Recent advances in constructing synthetic dimension provide a powerful tool for exploring exotic topological states of matter in high dimensions. Here we report that the parity anomaly and associated half-integer quantized Hall conductance, arising in 2j+1 (space-time) dimensions with a single or odd number of Dirac cones, can be realized by the boundary states of n-th order topological insulators in (2j+n)-dimensional synthetic lattices. We establish a general bulk-boundary correspondence by integrating the "nested" Wilson loop theory with the time-reversal polarization at highly-symmetric momenta, a set of Z2 topological invariants are extracted which determines the number of higher-order-boundary Dirac cones and their locations. We develop a general construction procedure for Hamiltonians supporting such higher-order topological parity anomaly. Moreover, we propose an experimental implementation scheme based on photonic synthetic dimensions and provide a method for probing the associated half-integer Hall conductance by the transmission spectra. Our work offers the realization and characterization of parity anomaly in general high-dimensional higher-order topological insulators and open an avenue for exploring fundamental physics and possible device applications enabled by manipulating Dirac cones. Surpassing the Global Heisenberg Limit Using a High-efficiency Quantum Switch

Indefinite causal orders have been shown to enable a precision of N−2 in quantum parameter estimation, where N is the number of independent processes probed in an experiment. This surpasses the widely accepted ultimate quantum precision of the Heisenberg limit, N−1. While a recent laboratory demonstration highlighted this phenomenon, its validity relies on postselection for it only accounted for a subset of the resources used. Achieving a true violation of the Heisenberg limit—considering photon loss, detection inefficiency, and other imperfections—remains an open challenge. Here, we present an ultrahigh-efficiency quantum switch to estimate the geometric phase associated with a pair of conjugate position and momentum displacements embedded in a superposition of causal orders. Our experimental data demonstrate precision surpassing the global Heisenberg limit without artificially correcting for losses or imperfections. Solid state reaction method is most commonly used to synthesize Sr₂MgSi₂O₇: Eu²⁺, Dy³⁺ phosphors. In order to avoid the energy waste caused by high sintering temperature, we systematically studied and optimized the preparation process of Sr₂MgSi₂O₇: Eu²⁺, Dy³⁺ long afterglow phosphors by increasing the Si/Sr ratio in the raw materials. The appropriate addition of silica not only facilitates the preparation of single phase Sr₂MgSi₂O₇: Eu²⁺, Dy³⁺ phosphor but also enhances the rate of solid state reaction, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing the sintering temperature. The photoluminescence performance of the sample with a Si/Sr ratio of 1.1 sintered at 1350 °C is the highest, followed by that of the sample sintered at 1400 °C with a Si/Sr ratio of 1.0. Notably, the photoluminescence properties of the Si/Sr ratio of 1.3 sample sintered at 1300 °C are comparable to those of the Si/Sr ratio of 1.0 sample sintered at 1400 °C. However, in terms of afterglow properties, the former exhibits an enhancement by a factor of 3.5 compared to the latter. This finding suggests that strategically increasing the Si/Sr ratio can reduce the sintering temperature by 100 °C while maintaining or even enhancing the luminescence and afterglow properties of the samples. Additionally, the electronic structures of the Sr₂MgSi₂O₇ host, the doped luminescence center Eu, the oxygen vacancies and the co-doped activator Dy have been methodically investigated through first-principles calculations. By integrating the findings on the distribution of the dopants and defects levels, we predict and propose the photoluminescence and afterglow mechanisms of Sr₂MgSi₂O₇: Eu²⁺, Dy³⁺. Protocol security is an important element in the field of industrial control system security. For industrial control systems filled with a large number of private protocols, accurate information on the format of private industrial control protocols is the basis of its security analysis. How to effectively analyze the format of private industrial control protocols is the key point to be solved in the security of the current industrial control system. In this paper, a private industrial control protocol formats analysis method based on Long short-term memory Fully convolutional neural network (LSTM-FCN) is proposed. The Long short-term memory Fully convolutional neural network (LSTM-FCN) model is used to learn the field types of public industrial control protocols. The trained model is then applied to the private industrial control protocols field type identification. Finally, the type recognition fields are fused based on the format characteristics of the public protocol fields. The results of the format analysis of the private industrial control protocol were obtained. The experimental results show that the method can accurately analyze the format of private industrial control protocols. © 2020 ACM.

KnowCoder-X: Boosting Multilingual Information Extraction via Code

Empirical evidence indicates that LLMs exhibit spontaneous cross-lingual alignment. However, although LLMs show promising cross-lingual alignment in IE, a significant imbalance across languages persists, highlighting an underlying deficiency. To address this, we propose KnowCoder-X, a powerful code LLM with advanced cross-lingual and multilingual capabilities for universal information extraction. Firstly, it standardizes the representation of multilingual schemas using Python classes, ensuring a consistent ontology across different languages. Then, IE across languages is formulated as a unified code generation task. Secondly, we enhance the model’s cross-lingual transferability through IE cross-lingual alignment instruction tuning on a translated instance prediction task we proposed. During this phase, we also construct a high-quality and diverse bilingual IE parallel dataset with 257k samples, called ParallelNER, synthesized by our proposed robust three-stage pipeline, with manual annotation to ensure quality. Although without training in 29 unseen languages, KnowCoder-X surpasses ChatGPT by 30.17% and SoTA by 20.03%, thereby demonstrating superior cross-lingual IE capabilities. Comprehensive evaluations on 64 IE benchmarks in Chinese and English under various settings demonstrate that KnowCoder-X significantly enhances cross-lingual IE transfer through boosting the IE alignment. Graph convolutional networks gain remarkable success in semi-supervised learning on graph-structured data. The key to graph-based semi-supervised learning is capturing the smoothness of labels or features over nodes exerted by graph structure. Previous methods, spectral methods and spatial methods, devote to defining graph convolution as a weighted average over neighboring nodes, and then learn graph convolution kernels to leverage the smoothness to improve the performance of graph-based semi-supervised learning. One open challenge is how to determine appropriate neighborhood that reflects relevant information of smoothness manifested in graph structure. In this paper, we propose GraphHeat, leveraging heat kernel to enhance low-frequency filters and enforce smoothness in the signal variation on the graph. GraphHeat leverages the local structure of target node under heat diffusion to determine its neighboring nodes flexibly, without the constraint of order suffered by previous methods. GraphHeat achieves state-of-the-art results in the task of graph-based semi-supervised classification across three benchmark datasets: Cora, Citeseer and Pubmed. Copyright © 2020, The Authors.
