Microstructure and shear properties evolution of Mn-doped SAC solder joint under isothermal aging

The effects of Mn addition(0.005,0.01,0.03,0.05,and 0.07 wt.%)on microstructure,shear mechanical behavior,and interfacial thermal stabilities of SAC305 joints were investigated under isothermal aging temperatures of 170 C with different aging time(0,250,500,and 750 h).It is found that Mn addition can increase fracture energy of joints without decreasing the shear *** the microstructures have transformed from the eutectic net-like structure in SAC305 solder joints into the structures based onβ-Sn matrix with intermetallic compounds(IMCs)*** doping 0.07 wt.%Mn,the Cu_(6)Sn_(5) growth along the SAC305/Cu interface during thermal aging can be inhibited to some *** isothermal aging at 170°C,the maximum shear force of solder joint decreases continuously with aging time increasing,while the fracture energy rises first and then decreases,reaching the maximum at 500 h compared by that with the microstructure ***_(3)Sn growth between Cu_(3)Sn_(5)/Cu interface has been retarded most at the aging time of 250 h with 0.07 wt.%Mn-doped *** the aging time prolonging,the inhibition effect of Mn on CusSn IMC layer becomes *** strengthening effect of Mn can be explained by precipitation strengthening,and its mechanical behavior can be predicted by particle strengthening model proposed by Orowan.

Crack Initiation and Propagation Mechanism of rapidly Tempered High-Si Steel during Hydrogen Embrittlement

In this study, we focused on fine dispersion of Fe2-3C(Ε) by combining the addition of Si and rapid tempering to improve the hydrogen embrittlement resistance of high-strength spring steels. The aim of this study is to clarify the fracture mechanism of rapidly tempered high-Si steels: the JISSUP7 (2.0Si) and SAE9254 (1.4Si) spring steels were tempered at different tempering rates by induction (IH) and furnace heating (FH) methods. Bending test were carried out during the cathodic hydrogen charging to observe the fracture origin and morphology of the steels. The size and volume of carbides were quantified using small-angle X-ray scattering method (SAXS) and synchrotron radiation Xrd. The distribution of carbides was observed with the replica method: facets were observed at the fracture origin of the 2.0Si-IH steel and 1.4Si-IH steel, which contained retained γ in the microstructure. It was considered that the facets formed because retained γ at the grain boundaries transformed into martensite during hydrogen embrittlement, promoting intergranular cracking;the 2.0Si-IH steel contained the largest amount of retained γ, but also contained fine Fe2-3C(Ε) in the lath. This suggests that dislocations and hydrogen are less likely to accumulate at the grain boundaries, resulting in the longest fracture life. In other words, in rapidly tempered high Si steels (2.0Si-IH steels), the fine dispersion of Fe2-3C(Ε) has more influence on the suppression of crack initiation and propagation than the increase in the amount of retained γ, and this contributes significantly to the fracture life. © 2025 The Iron and Steel Institute of Japan.

Generalized Energy Storage Allocation Strategies for Load Aggregator in Hierarchical Electricity Markets

The uncertainty of user-side resource response will affect the response quality and economic benefit of load aggregator(LA).Therefore,this paper regards the flexible user-side resources as a virtual energy storage(VES),and uses the traditional narrow sense energy storage(NSES)to alleviate the uncertainty of *** order to further enhance the competitive advantage of LA in electricity market transactions,the operation mechanism of LA in day-ahead and real-time market is analyzed,***,truncated normal distribution is used to simulate the response accuracy of VES,and the response model of NSES is constructed at the same ***,the hierarchical market access index(HMAI)is introduced to quantify the risk of LA being eliminated in the market ***,combined with the priority response strategy of VES and HMAI,the capacity allocation model of NSES is *** the capacity model is nonlinear,Monte Carlo simulation and adaptive particle swarm optimization algorithm are used to solve *** order to verify the effectiveness of the model,the data from PJM market in the United States is used for *** results show that the model established can provide the effective NSES capacity allocation strategy for LA to compensate the uncertainty of VES response,and the economic benefit of LA can be increased by 52.2%at its *** the reasonable NSES capacity allocation,LA is encouraged to improve its own resource level,thus forming a virtuous circle of market competition.

In order to improve the response speed and anti-interference ability of the permanent magnet synchronous motor control system, this paper proposes a model-free controller based on improved adaptive exponential convergence law and double power sliding mode observer. Firstly, the sigmoid function is used instead of the sign function to make the control signal smoother and reduce the jitter;secondly, the system state variables are introduced to form an improved adaptive exponential convergence law to enhance the response speed and anti-interference ability;finally, an improved double power sliding mode observer is designed to enhance the anti-interference ability of the system and make the disturbance observation more accurate. Simulation results show that the improved controller reduces the overshoot by 0.46% compared with the traditional method, the adjustment time of speed and torque is shortened by at least 0.01s, the three-phase current recovers the stability faster when the load is added suddenly, and the speed reaches and stabilises at the target value more rapidly when the speed increases suddenly. In summary, the control strategy proposed in this paper achieves fast response, small overshooting, shortened adjustment time, and strong anti-interference ability in static state, effectively weakening the vibration phenomenon. © 2024 IEEE.

Fabrication of a Hydrophobic Hierarchical Surface on Shale Using Modified Nano-SiO_(2)for Strengthening the Wellbore Wall in drilling engineering

Wellbore stability is essential for safe and efficient drilling during oil and gas exploration and *** paper introduces a hydrophobic nano-silica(HNS)for use in strengthening the wellbore wall when using a water-based drilling fluid(WBF).The wellbore-strengthening performance was studied using the linear swelling test,hot-rolling recovery test,and compressive strength *** mechanism of strengthening the wellbore wall was studied by means of experiments on the zeta potential,particle size,contact angle,and surface tension,and with the use of a scanning electron microscope(SEM).The surface free energy changes of the shale before and after HNS treatment were also calculated using the contact angle *** experimental results showed that HNS exhibited a good performance in inhibiting shale swelling and *** with the use of water,the use of HNS resulted in a 20%smaller linear swelling height of the bentonite pellets and an 11.53 times higher recovery of water-sensitive shale—a performance that exceeds those of the commonly used shale inhibitors KCl and *** importantly,the addition of HNS was effective in preventing a decrease in shale *** to the mechanism study,the good wellbore-strengthening performance of HNS can be attributed to three ***,the positively charged HNS balances parts of the negative charges of clay by means of electrostatic adsorption,thus inhibiting osmotic ***,HNS fabricates a lotus-leaf-like surface with a micro-nano hierarchical structure on shale after adsorption,which significantly increases the water contact angle of the shale surface and considerably reduces the surface free energy,thereby inhibiting surface ***,the decrease in capillary action and the effective plugging of the shale pores reduce the invasion of water and promote wellbore *** approach described herein may provide an avenue for inhibiting both the surface hydration and the os

Aiming at the problems of light load or overload in the operation of existing power transformers, this paper proposes to configure lithium battery packs on the secondary side of power transformers through energy storage power conversion system (PCS). In order to avoid light load and overload problems caused by the peak/trough of power load, and to improve the power factor and operation efficiency of power transformers, the four-quadrant operation characteristics of energy storage PCS are utilized to realize active/reactive power compensation of power transformer. At the same time, it has the function of emergency power supply to prevent the power failure caused by transformer maintenance. Finally, the correctness and feasibility of the proposed scheme is verified by Matlab simulation. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper addresses the challenge of difficulty in adjusting late-stage production in water-flooded reservoirs and proposes an integrated well network design mode for co2 enhanced oil recovery (EOr) and storage. The well network is designed according to the full life cycle of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), meeting the requirements of both co2 EOr and storage phases. It extends the implementation time of co2 EOr schemes to enhance oil recovery while ensuring effective co2 storage, aligning with the overall strategy of global green and low-carbon development. The overall approach involves the use of a three-dimensional co2 flooding injection and recovery well network, with progressive development in the vertical stratigraphic layers to maximize the utilization of existing old wells. The stratigraphic reconstruction involves the co2 flooding injection and recovery well network, ensuring that new gas injection wells meet the requirements for co2 injection processes and production rates, while also serving as replacements for gas injection in other stratigraphic layers. Production wells make use of the original old wells, and well completion methods are adjusted to achieve the development of replacement layers. The "top injection, middle production, bottom support" three-stage development method is designed to fully utilize the high points of reservoir microstructures and bottom water energy. Finally, well network optimization is achieved through streamline tracking simulation methods. The proposed technology has been applied in the co2 enhanced oil recovery plan for the L reservoir. Initially focusing on co2 flooding for oil recovery and shifting to co2 storage later, it is projected to achieve a cumulative co2 injection of tens of millions of tons over 46 years (including 40% recycled injection), with a displacement factor reaching 1.57PV. detecting surface defects is crucial during the production process of hot-rolled seamless steel pipes. In order to make up for the shortcomings of traditional inspection methods, this study developed a set of surface defect detection systems of hot-rolled seamless steel pipe by 3d point cloud and deep learning. A 3d point cloud-based defect detection equipment for seamless steel pipe outer surface was developed to achieve full coverage of seamless steel pipe outer surface detection. The defect detection model of seamless steel pipe surface was designed based on the YOLOF algorithm of correcting attention mechanism, and the corresponding software system was developed for online identification. To confirm the efficacy of the proposed approach, the defect pictures collected by a steel pipe factory were used as an implementation case. The experimental results confirm that all types of defects are effectively covered with a detection rate exceeding 99%, while maintaining a false detection rate of under 0.08%. The industrial application shows that compared with the current advanced detection method, the false positive rate of the outer surface is reduced by 9.5% on average. The proposed method has low installation and maintenance costs, which can lay a foundation for further application of seamless steel pipe quality determination, analysis, and control. © 2024 IEEE.

As a type of austenitic stainless steel,316L stainless steel has excellent plasticity,corrosion resistance,and biocompatibility,making it widely used in industries,especially in the marine ***,its lower yield strength and wear resistance are the obvious disadvantages that restrict its application in more *** this work,an Fe-based amorphous alloy(Fe^(am))was selected as reinforcement to enhance the 316L stainless steel prepared by selective laser melting(SLM),and microstructure evolution,mechanical properties,tribological and corrosion performance of the SLMed samples were investigated in *** relative density values of both 316L stainless steel and Fe^(am)-reinforced samples are above 99%,which suggests that Fe^(am)-reinforced samples also have outstanding *** the as-etched micrograph,all of the SLMed samples exhibit cellular ***^(am)-reinforced samples have thicker sub-grain boundaries,and retained amorphous phase can be observed in the samples reinforced with 10 wt%and 15 wt%Fe^(am).As the addition of Fe^(am) increases,the microhardness and compression strength of the Fe^(am)-reinforced samples gradually improve and reach 449.2 HV and 2181.9 MPa,*** wear morphologies show that the 316L stainless steel and Fe^(am)-reinforced samples both experience abrasive wear and corrosion wear in a 3.5 wt%NaCl ***,as the amount of Fe^(am) added increases,the coefficient of friction and wear rate of SLMed samples gradually *** to the unreinforced sample,Fe^(am)-reinforced samples have lower corrosion current density and higher pitting potential according to the potentiodynamic polarization curves and also exhibit superior corrosion resistance in the salt spray *** work suggests that the addition of Fe-based amorphous alloy can improve the mechanical properties and wear resistance of 316L stainless steel,as well as its ability to withstand salt spray corrosion.
