In drilling operation, drilling NPT caused by top drive mechanical failure and high noisy and energy suffered a lot onsite. This paper introduces a top drive which utilizes a permanent magnet synchronous AC motor to drive the quill directly without a gearbox which can shorten drive chain. Meanwhile, its symmetrical and compact mechanical construction and shorter main and control cables obviously improve installation efficiency and effectively reduce the failure rate. We conducted research through structural design, motor efficiency and heat dissipation, and automation system upgrades to form a set of high-efficiency, high-performance direct drive top drive. Transmission structure aspect: design of direct-drive top drive structure, calculation and verification of main load bearing parts, analysis of top drive failure types and effects. Motor energy efficiency aspect: research on speed measurement method of permanent magnet direct drive motor, precise control method of permanent magnet direct drive motor, and closed phase change heat dissipation technology. Automation enhancement aspect: research on control system architecture, self-diagnosis system, One-click operating system. This study resulted in three research findings including synchronous permanent magnet motor design, One-Click operating system with self-diagnosis and efficient self-circulation heat dissipation technology. The new generation of direct-drive top drive can reduce current required by 100-200A and increase efficiency by 20-30% compared with asynchronous motor, while meeting the requirements of corresponding rated load, rated power, speed and continuous torque. It can realize quill rotation precision less than 1° under load and keep the speed fluctuation reduced from 10.6% to 1.1% by improving the motor dynamic response performance. The One-click control method realized by preset parameters can reduce the driller's repeated operation and visual judgment. The tripping efficiency can be increased by

The suspension durability testing system can complete fatigue life testing and the simulation of the real-world working condition of automotive air suspension in the laboratory. However, due to its self-enclosed architecture, it usually does not have functions such as remote interaction and unified data management. To address the above issues, we propose an industrial cloud service platform for the testing system in this paper. Specifically, by analyzing the principles of the testing system and the requirements of the cloud service platform, we rigorously design the data forms and functions on the cloud platform. Moreover, our designed platform completes the data communication between the end layer, edge layer, and application layer based on the ThinkPHP framework and the TCP Socket communication protocol. Thus, it is possible to realize the management of the user information and the transmission, storage, and remote display of the testing data, making our platform capable of remote monitoring. We implement our platform as a fully-functional software. The testing results indicate that the developed cloud service platform of the suspension durability testing system can accurately monitor the testing system in real-time and standardize the management of testing data. © 2023 IEEE.

The torque on kelly measuring instrument is mainly used for real-time measurement of the dynamic torque on the lower joint of the kelly during drilling and workover processes. Safety of the operation could be evaluated based on measuring results. By analyzing the mechanical properties of metal materials under dynamic working conditions, engineering materials are selected. The main structure of the torque measuring instrument is designed in a small mandrel type. The torque measuring bridge and electric circuit are configured to realize real-time torque testing. Experimental platform was built to verify and analyze multiple sets of data, verifying the feasibility, effectiveness, and accuracy of the design. The research results provide a real-time torque testing method and technical support for drilling and workover operations. © 2023 IEEE.

The inherent difficulty in preservation and processing of conventional red phosphorus flame retardant severely limits its growing applications in polymer materials,thus,there is an urgent need to exploit effective technology to modify red *** lignin-based compounds can provide a great potential in improving the preservation and processing of red ***,we prepared melamine modified lignin/aluminum phosphate coated red phosphorus(LMAP@rP)and used it as the flame retardant of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene(ABS)*** 25wt%loading LMAP@rP,the ABS samples show excellent flame inhibiting capacity and reached UL-94 V-0 *** calorimetry test results show that the peak heat release rate,total heat release and total smoke release of ABS/25LMAP@rP are reduced strikingly by 64.6%,49.3%,and 30.1%,*** char residue is 15.36wt%and the char layer is continuous and *** outstanding flame retardant and smoke-suppressant performances of LMAP@rP show its application prospect for ABS.

Segmentation Method of concrete Small Cracks Based on UAV Images

Introduction: Cracks are one of the major problems in modern concrete buildings, especially in locations that are difficult to map manually, such as bridges and high-rise buildings. Accurate analysis of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) images has become the key to determining whether a building needs maintenance. Methods: Traditional image processing methods are easily interfered by high-frequency background. Neural network methods need fine datasets, which increase labor costs. Therefore, this paper proposes a segmentation algorithm based on UNet3+ network. After obtaining the UAV image, the rough location of the crack can be obtained by only rough labeling. And then, the sample balance can be carried out by clipping the target area. The UNet3+ network is used to train the processed datasets and extract the region of interest to ignore the non-target texture. Finally, the region of interest is further segmented by color clustering and edge detection methods. results: The proposed method can detect the cracks accurately. In all test images, the relative errors are less than 13%. Especially in test images whose width is less than 0.2mm, the maximum absolute error is only 0.0237 mm, which is completely acceptable in actual production. The proposed method has higher practicability in the detection of concrete crack images taken by UAV. The results show that the proposed method outperforms the cutting-edge method published in the journal "Sensor", when the background is complex. conclusion: The proposed method can segment and detect cracks effectively, which can remove the high-frequency interference region from the images. © 2024 Bentham Science Publishers.

In this work a new nanoscale surface marking technique,namely electron beam damage induced surface marking(EBdISM),is developed and tested for the first time on a fine-grained pure Mg *** technique utilizes focused high-energy electron beam of a scanning electron microscope to“burn”dense arrays of nano-scale grid patterns on the sample surface,and it is proved to be very effective for identifying and measuring localised deformation ***,the surface marking deposited by EBdISM is not permanent and it tends to deteriorate ***,easy to use and versatile,the EBdISM technique has a huge potential for quantitative measurement of strain field and nano-scale deformation analysis.

This study advances Video Object detection (VOd) through optimization of the TransVOd Lite framework. Our enhancements utilize a Transformer Encoder to improve equivalent mapping and integrate low-rank matrix factorization, thereby eliminating the need for manual post-processing. This upgraded framework, named deep-TransVOd, is detailed in this paper. It highlights improvements in feature extraction and the implementation of multi-frame input, resulting in a substantial advancement in real-time automated anomaly detection within industrial environments. © 2024 IEEE.

A new technical route of organic matter capture and carbon fixation is proposed in response of the increasingly strict emission standards of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)in petrochemical industry and the Chinese national strategic development goals of carbon peak and carbon neutralization.A closed loop from raw materials to adsorbents for gas treatment can be achieved by two key technical characteristics:(1)construct a new mesoporous adsorbent with complete desorption and regeneration function by carbon nanotubes(CNTs);(2)convert gaseous organic matter which cannot be recycled in liquid/gas state to *** realizes the resource integration of"turning waste into treasure"and maximizes the carbon emission reduction effect of waste gas treatment process without consuming extra precious fossil fuel,compared with the traditional technologies of VOCs treatments,including combustion or catalytic ***’s more,the increase in supply of various green electricity is expected to change the current situation of large investment and heavy cost burden of environmental protection technology,and make a great contribution to the national carbon peak and carbon neutrality policy.

Study on the design method of distorted model testing for cementing casing string systems based on the similarity of stiffness and mass

In the test design of large-scale scaled models (complete similarity models) of the cementing casing string systems (CCSS), the large length-diameter ratio of the casing string causes the wall thickness of model too thin to manufacturing. Therefore, this study proposes a test design method based on similarity in stiffness and mass for the unequal scale scaled models (distorted similarity models) of the CCSS. Firstly, a dynamic model of the CCSS is established and solved by the separation of variables method and modal superposition method. The accuracy of the dynamic model and the efficiency of the solution are verified by tests and finite element analysis respectively. Then, based on the dynamic model and its analytical solution, the equation analysis method is used to derive the similarity criteria for the complete similarity model of the system. Based on theoretical calculations, it is found that the predicted vibration characteristics and dynamic response results of the prototype system through the complete similarity model are highly accurate. To further solve the problem of difficulty in manufacturing complete similarity model tests with large scaling ratios, considering the similarity of the quality and stiffness of the CCSS, the similarity criteria for the distorted similarity model of the CCSS is derived. In order to achieve high accuracy in theoretical calculation and prediction, the length-diameter ratio of the model needs to be greater than 60. The correctness of predicting the prototype dynamic response through the distorted similarity criterion is verified through theoretical models and test, and a detailed process for designing the similarity model experiment of the CCSS is provided. Finally, robustness analysis, sensitivity analysis, and uncertainty analysis are conducted on the dynamic response and similarity criteria of the CCSS under different parameters.
