A stochastic analysis is performed to investigate the electromagnetic wave coupling with a deformed star-quad cable. It is considered that the star-quad cable is not uniform because the distances between its wires can vary progressively along its line due to any external mechanical stresses. Therefore, the parametric equations of the star-quad cable are generalized by introducing a variable angle along the cable line. consequently, the random fluctuations of the induced differential-mode current due to the random deformations along the star-quad cable line are studied. It is found that the star-quad cable with fillers has better performance in reducing the external coupling as compared to the one without fillers because the fillers can preserve a balanced geometry along the star-quad cable line. © 2023 Applied computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).

In the field of target detection, particularly pedestrian detection in complex scenarios, accuracy and real-time performance are persistent challenges. To address this issue, this paper introduces an enhanced model named MAM-Guided YOLOv8, which builds upon YOLOv8 by incorporating four distinct attention mechanisms: Local Attention Mechanism (LAM), Global Attention Mechanism (GAM), Efficient Channel Attention (ECA), and Axial Attention Mechanism (AA). Through a meticulously designed attention mechanism fusion strategy, the MAM-Guided YOLOv8 model aims to improve pedestrian detection capabilities in complex environments. Experimental results demonstrate that this model outperforms traditional methods on urban complex scene datasets, effectively balancing high precision with rapid processing demands. The contribution of this paper lies in the innovative integration of multiple attention mechanisms, significantly enhancing pedestrian detection accuracy and providing an effective solution for object detection tasks in practical applications.

during the inspection process of seamless steel tubes, the circumferential dynamic deviation of the multi-hub serpentine robot complicates the accurate estimation and control of its axial operating state. To address this challenge, this paper introduces an innovative control method integrating an improved discrete PId with IMU feedback, and thoroughly examines its fundamental principles, modeling strategies, and simulation analyses. This system boasts low overshoot, high steady-state accuracy, and swift response, all while minimizing the occupation of system resources, which is advantageous for realizing time-sharing control by the superordinate system. Additionally, the system is capable of dynamically adjusting the hub motors with minimal control cycles, effectively preventing motor vibrations and severe overheating issues.

Axle counter equipment is a key component in urban rail transit signal systems, and its stability has a great impact on safety and operation efficiency. In this paper, we pay attention to the assessment and prediction methods of the health degree for axle counter equipment in urban rail transit and the corresponding maintenance suggestions. Mainly, two prediction methods, the GM (1, 1) algorithm and the long short-term memory (LSTM) network, are used to compare the prediction effect of health degree for axle counter equipment. Based on enough historical information, the LSTM network can obtain more accurate prediction results with less data input. © The Author(s) 2025.

A microstructure composed of martensite matrix,lower bainite,and stable film-like austenite was designed by a quenching and isothermal bainitic holding process in a 0.30C–2.69Mn–1.71Si(wt.%)*** yield strength,tensile strength,and ductile-to-brittle transition temperature(dBTT)of the high-strength steel thus obtained were 1263 MPa,1521 MPa,and-33℃,respectively,and at-20℃,it showed superior low-temperature toughness,which reached 77.5 J/cm^(2).Meanwhile,it showed excellent hydrogen embrittlement(HE)resistance,and the total elongation loss is only 3.1%after 15 min of hydrogen *** excellent comprehensive performance is attributed to the fact that fine stable austenite with film-like morphology hindered the crack nucleation and propagation,and hindered hydrogen diffusion as a hydrogen ***,with a decrease in the isothermal temperature,transition carbide precipitation was accompanied by a further decrease in austenite grain *** this condition,although transition carbides can act as effective hydrogen traps,excessive precipitation decreased the carbon content of retained austenite and increased the deformation heterogeneity between austenite and martensite matrix,leading to weakened austenite stability and HE resistance,a total elongation loss of approximately 39%(15 min hydrogen charging),a sharp decrease in impact toughness,and an increase in *** competitive role of film-like austenite and transition carbides on the comprehensive mechanical performance of steel is revealed,especially the suppression of crack nucleation and propagation that will provide a guide for the design of high strength steels with excellent impact toughness and HE resistance.

As one of the most promising cathodes for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs),the layered transition metal oxides have attracted great attentions due to their high specific capacities and facile ***,their applications are still hindered by the problems of poor moisture stability and sluggish Na^(+)diffusion caused by intrinsic structural Jahn–Teller ***,we demonstrate a new approach to settle the above issues through introducing K^(+)into the structures of Ni/Mn-based *** physicochemical characterizations reveal that K^(+)induces atomic surface reorganization to form the birnessite-type K_(2)Mn_(4)O_(8).combining with the phosphate,the mixed coating layer protects the cathodes from moisture and hinders metal dissolution into the electrolyte ***,K^(+)substitution at Na site in the bulk structure can not only widen the lattice-spacing for favoring Na^(+)diffusion,but also work as the rivet to restrain the grain crack upon *** as achieved K^(+)-decorated P2-Na_(0.67)Mn_(0.75)Ni_(0.2)5O_(2)(NKMNO@KM/KP)cathodes are tested in both coin cell and pouch cell configurations using Na metal or hard carbon(HC)as ***,the NKMNO@KM/KP||Na half-cell demonstrates a high rate performance of 50 C and outstanding cycling performance of 90.1%capacity retention after 100 cycles at 5 ***,the NKMNO@KM/KP||HC fullcell performed a promising energy density of 213.9 Wh·kg^(−1).This performance significantly outperforms most reported state-ofthe-art ***,by adopting this strategy on O3-NaMn_(0.5)Ni_(0.5)O_(2),we further proved the universality of this method on layered cathodes for SIBs.

Multifunctional,flexible,and robust thin films capable of operating in demanding harsh temperature environments are crucial for various cutting-edge *** study presents a multifunctional Janus film integrating highly-crystalline Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene and mechanically-robust carbon nanotube(CNT)film through strong hydrogen *** hybrid film not only exhibits high electrical conductivity(4250 S cm^(-1)),but also demonstrates robust mechanical strength and durability in both extremely low and high temperature environments,showing exceptional resistance to thermal *** hybrid Janus film of 15μm thickness reveals remarkable multifunctionality,including efficient electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of 72 dB in X band frequency range,excellent infrared(Ir)shielding capability with an average emissivity of 0.09(a minimal value of 0.02),superior thermal camouflage performance over a wide temperature range(−1 to 300℃)achieving a notable reduction in the radiated temperature by 243℃ against a background temperature of 300℃,and outstanding Ir detection capability characterized by a 44%increase in resistance when exposed to 250 W Ir *** multifunctional MXene/CNT Janus film offers a feasible solution for electromagnetic shielding and Ir shielding/detection under challenging conditions.

Utilization of dTAB as a collector for the reverse flotation separation of quartz from fluorapatite

reverse flotation desilication is an indispensable step for obtaining high-grade fluorapatite. In this work, dodecyltrimethylammoni- um bromide (dTAB) is recommended as an efficient collector for the reverse flotation separation of quartz from fluorapatite. Its collectivity for quartz and selectivity for fluorapatite were also compared with figures corresponding to the conventional collector dodecylamine hydrochlor- ide (dAC) via microflotation experiments. The adsorption behaviors of dTAB and dAC on minerals were systematically investigated with surface chemical analyses, such as contact angle determination, zeta potential detection, and adsorption density measurement. The results re- vealed that compared to dAC, dTAB displayed a similar and strong collectivity for quartz, and it showed a better selectivity (or worse col- lectivity) for fluorapatite, resulting in a high-efficiency separation of the two minerals. The surface chemical analysis results showed that the adsorption ability of dTAB on the quartz surface was as strong as that of dAC, whereas the adsorption amount of dTAB on the fluorapatite surface was much lower than that of dAC, which is associated with the flotation performance. during the floatation separation of the actual ore, 8wt% fluorapatite with a higher grade can be obtained using dTAB in contrast to dAC. Therefore, dTAB is a promising collector for the high-efficiency purification and sustainable utilization of valuable fluorapatite recourses.

This paper provides a comprehensive overview of load disturbances in electric motor systems, their impact on performance, and existing control methods. First, load disturbances that can affect motor stability, control accuracy, dynamics, and energy efficiency, including static, dynamic, and nonlinear load variations, are introduced. Second, traditional control methods used for suppressing load disturbances like feedback and feedforward control are discussed, along with their advantages and limitations. Third, advanced control strategies such as intelligent control, self-adaptive control, and robust nonlinear control are introduced. Finally, this paper highlights the need for further research and identifies future directions. Overall, this review paper contributes to the development of robust motor control strategies, enhancing industrial automation and manufacturing processes. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy backstepping control method based on state observer is proposed for the individual pitch control problem of variable pitch wind turbines with state constraints and uncertainties. By designing a fuzzy state observer, the system state is estimated. The fuzzy logic system is used to approximate the unknown nonlinear term in the system. On the basis of backstepping control, dynamic surface control technology is introduced to solve the ‘complexity explosion’ phenomenon. By constructing the barrier Lyapunov function of the system, it is ensured that all the state variables of the system will not violate the constraints. Finally, the stability of the closed-loop system and the boundedness of all signals are proved by Lyapunov stability theory. The simulation results show that the proposed method can achieve effective tracking control of the pitch angle, which proves the effectiveness of the proposed method.
