Abstract for Part 1:This paper is the first of a two-part study that discusses the real-time global optimal energy management strategy (EMS) for connected plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). The rapid development of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) enables connected PHEVs to perceive the traffic flow conditions ahead. Based on this information, a two-layer structure future driving condition prediction algorithm is developed. The top layer on the cloud receives real-time traffic information from a commercial provider to execute long-term predictions under the control of machine learning and the Markov chain. The traffic flow density significantly affects the energy consumption of PHEVs, but the related information is not available from the current commercial providers. Thus, with an Internet-distributed vehicle-in-the-loop (Id-VIL) simulation platform, a camera is installed on the vehicle to support the object recognition-based short-term prediction adjustment. Both the long-term and short-term prediction results will be used by the real-time global optimal EMS in the second part of this study. At last, the accuracy and real-time capability of the proposed two-layer prediction algorithm have been tested in a 14.5km on-road driving *** for Part 2:This paper is the second of a two-part study that discusses the real-time global optimal energy management strategy (EMS) for connected plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). CAT: LoCalization and IdentificAtion Cascade detection Transformer for Open-World Object detection

Open-world object detection (OWOd), as a more general and challenging goal, requires the model trained from data on known objects to detect both known and unknown objects and incrementally learn to identify these unknown objects. The existing works which employ standard detection framework and fixed pseudo-labelling mechanism (PLM) have the following problems: (ii) The inclusion of detecting unknown objects substantially reduces the model’s ability to detect known ones. (ii) The PLM does not adequately utilize the priori knowledge of inputs. (iii) The fixed selection manner of PLM cannot guarantee that the model is trained in the right direction. We observe that humans subconsciously prefer to focus on all foreground objects and then identify each one in detail, rather than localize and identify a single object simultaneously, for alleviating the confusion. This motivates us to propose a novel solution called CAT: LoCalization and IdentificAtion Cascade detection Transformer which decouples the detection process via the shared decoder in the cascade decoding way. In the meanwhile, we propose the self-adaptive pseudo-labelling mechanism which combines the model-driven with input-driven PLM and self-adaptively generates robust pseudo-labels for unknown objects, significantly improving the ability of CAT to retrieve unknown objects. Experiments on two benchmarks, ***, MS-coco and PASCAL VOC, show that our model outperforms the state-of-the-art methods. Facilitated transport membrane with fixed and mobile carriers is essential yet challenging to improve the co2 capture. Herein, a facilitated transport membrane with continuous pathway was constructed by the in-situ interlinkage of mobile aniline with the fixed carriers distributing along electrospun polyacrylonitrile nanofibers (HPAN). In this membrane, fixed amine carriers are introduced through the alkalinous hydrolysis of PAN fibers, and are distributed along the HPAN fibers to construct a long-range continuous transport pathway for co2. The mobile aniline carriers are introduced into the interfibrous voids of the HPAN nanofibers mat (NFM) by in-situ polymerization of PEGdA, which interlink the fixed amine carriers to achieve the facilitated transport pathway continuous completely. And the fixed amine and mobile aniline carriers are demonstrated co-existing in the An/PEO@HPAN membrane (NFCM) by the FTIr and XPS results. Meanwhile, the Xrd and dSC results indicate that the introduction of aniline increases the free volume of PEO matrix, which is beneficial for enhancing co2 permeation. Therefore, the 10 wt.% An/PEO@HPAN-3h NFCM present 90.81% and 13.15% increases in co2 permeability and co2/N2 selectivity under mixed gas at 0.3 MPa in contrast with the membrane without mobile aniline carriers. Under mixed gas conditions, this NFCM exhibits co2 permeability of 202.93 Barrer and co2/N2 selectivity of 83.89 at 0.1 MPa, reaching the 2019 Mckeown upper bound. © 2023, The Authors. Tight oil reservoirs need stimulation in order to produce the trapped oil. The most common form of stimulation used by the oil and gas industry is hydraulic fracturing. Fracturing operations tend to create fractures including primary fractures and microfractures. The objective of this study is to develop a fracturing fluid which can be converted into microproppant, beads, and channelized-proppant as desired in-situ during a fracturing operation to enhance the hydraulic conductivity of the microfractures and the primary fractures, and simplify the hydraulic fracturing operation, where the channelized-proppant is defined as the pillars surrounded by channels. resin, curing agents, surfactants, and aqueous phase were mixed together to form O/W emulsion to serve as fracturing fluid. After curing process, resin and curing agent would react and form proppant in-situ. The parameters affect the proppant formation such as the curing temperatures, pressure, mixing strength, surfactant concentration, and size control additives were all studied and thus through controlling the parameters, microproppant, beads, and channelized-proppant can form in-situ as desired. The particle size distribution, sphericity, roundness, conductivity, acid solubility, and crush strength were tested. Through controlling the experimental parameters and adding size control additives, fracturing fluid can be converted into microproppant, beads, and channelized-proppant as desired at a temperature from 30° C to 90° C. Almost 100% of the resin and the curing agents were converted into proppant with a specific density of 1.09g/ml. For the beads, both the sphericity and roundness are over 0.9, less than 2% fines were generated after being loaded to 15 kpsi, the acid solubility is 2.37%, and the conductivity of the beads of 20/40 mesh tested with proppant loading of 1 lb/ft2 at 4000 psi at room temperature was 227 md-ft. Joints play an important role in Interlocking block pavement (IBP) performance because it transfers the load between the blocks, improving the pavement's capacity to disperse loads and resist settlement. Previously, laboratory model tests were performed to determine the appropriate joint width to achieve good load transfer efficiency. The suggested width, however, varies according to the studies because the optimal width is significantly affected by the geotechnical properties of the paving materials, which have been often overlooked and not clearly delineated. Therefore, in this study, repeated loading tests were performed on IBP with varying joint width, considering the geotechnical aspects (mineralogy, grain size distribution, relative density) of the joint and bedding sands. A newly designed 2d chamber that allows particle image velocimetry analysis was used to evaluate the resulted deformation in the sublayers. Test results indicate that narrow and dense joints exhibited greater settlement resistance and load dispersion ability owing to the higher shear resistance at the joints, resulting in the settlement at sublayers to spread over a wide area in a shallow depth. © 2023, The Authors. In this study, we constructed a model for predicting the future frailty status of individuals based on information regarding their current lifestyle habits. In recent years, as the global population ages, the number of people certified for long-term care has increased. In an effort to prevent the need for long-term care, prediction of the onset of frailty, which is positioned as a preliminary stage of the caregiving state, is gaining attention. However, the onset of frailty takes a long time, and the incidence of frailty differs according to one's health literacy. Therefore, a prediction is extremely difficult to achieve. In this study, we constructed a prediction model using a probabilistic latent semantic analysis and a Bayesian network. First, the probabilistic latent semantic analysis was conducted to classify individuals according to their health literacy. Second, we constructed a future frailty prediction model using a Bayesian network for each health literacy segment. As a result, we clarified the following: It is more appropriate to predict a future frailty by predicting the future lifestyle using information on the current lifestyle. In addition, more accurate prediction models can be constructed when individuals are divided based on their health literacy. © 2022 IEEE.

Selective catalytic reduction (SCr) system is used to the denitration (de-NOx) of diesel engine exhaust after treatment. In this work, a three-dimensional mathematical model is established to study the de-NOx performance and pressure drop in the non-uniform SCr catalyst system. First, the SCr converter model with uniform catalyst distribution is selected to verify the reliability of the model. Then, the radius r1 and porosity ԑ1 of area 1, radius r2 and porosity ԑ2 of area 2 are selected as single factor variables to study the influence on the non-uniform SCr catalyst system performance. Finally, response surface methodology (rSM) involving central composite design (CCd) is employed to evaluate and optimize the above single factor parameters affecting de-NOx performance and pressure drop of SCr system. The results show that the change of porosity ԑ2 has the greatest impact on de-NOx efficiency and pressure drop. The optimum condition for maximum de-NOx efficiency was estimated at the radius r1 of 50mm, radius r2 of 100mm, porosity ԑ1 of 0.47 and porosity ԑ2 of 0.7. Under these conditions, the de-NOx efficiency by numerical simulation was 80.37%, which was close with the predicted value (80.68%), and the pressure drop was 218Pa, which was close with the predicted value (246Pa). compared with the uniformly distributed porosity catalyst of SCr system, the de-NOx efficiency of the optimal Case of numerical simulation is increased by 3.74%, and the pressure drop is reduced by 46Pa. The research can provide theoretical and engineering reference for improvement of SCr catalyst coating process. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The G300 pipeline leak monitoring and alarm positioning system developed in this article adds the most advanced infrasound wave technology on the basis of the negative pressure wave and volume balance method. It is alarm for the alarm of abnormal incidents such as leakage during the operation of the pipeline operation. Positioning, with high sensitivity and positioning accuracy. combining with GPS's core positioning navigation system and accurate pipeline electronic maps, the management department can accurately find the leakage site in time and minimize the loss caused by abnormal events such as pipeline leakage. In the experiments of more than half a year, more than 100 leakage alarm tests were conducted. The sensitivity, positioning accuracy, maximum positioning error, system response speed, and leak alarm time all met with high design requirements.

Experimental Study on Mechanical Properties of Perforated Propellant Grains Under different Loading rates

The elastic-plastic stress-strain behavior and failure characteristics of 19 perforated composite propellant grains under various quasi-static and dynamic loading rates are examined by the using of material testing machine and split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) setup. The quasi-static experimental results indicated that the propellant grains exhibit higher elastic modulus and yield limit at lower temperatures, and increase with the increasing of loading rates. Under dynamic impact loading, the stress-strain curve of the propellant grains displays power hardening characteristics firstly, while the stress-strain curve shows linear strengthening characteristics during the plastic deformation stage. Moreover, the elastic modulus and maximum stress during the impact process increase with the strain rate. The propellant grains exhibit slight cracking when the strain rate reaches 1129s-1. The correlation between elastic modulus and strain rates of grains is generalized as power function. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.
