In this paper, a kind of inductive hot correction coil for sheet welding deformation is proposed. In this scheme, COMSOL Multiphysics simulation software is mainly used to analyze the electromagnetic - stress coupling of the thin steel plate with size parameter of 1000 mm×600 mm×6 mm, so as to explore the influence of different coil forms on the temperature field and correction effect. The results show that for the longitudinal magnetic flux rectangular coil, the temperature field distribution is uniform, but the temperature rise efficiency is lower than that of the transverse magnetic flux circular coil, and the clamping of the workpiece is inconvenient. Under the action of the offset longitudinal magnetic flux rectangular coils and transverse magnetic flux rectangular coils, the temperature field distribution is not uniform, and the deformation trend of the workpiece cannot achieve the purpose of correcting the welding deformation. Under the action of transverse magnetic flux circular coil, the workpiece's temperature rise rate is fast, the temperature distribution is even, the cooling process is gentle, and the correction effect is good. Considering the thermal efficiency of the coil, the effect of correction and the convenience of correcting the large-size sheet, the transverse magnetic flux circular coil was finally determined to be suitable for the deformation correction of the sheet after welding. © 2022 SPIE

One of the challenges of developing an enhanced geothermal system (EGS) is to create connected fracture networks by hydraulic fracturing between the injection well and the production well. However, limited work has been conducted on studying the fracture initiation and propagation of hot dry rock. To have a clear understanding of how the temperature differences between the rock and the fluid influence hydraulic fracturing, numerical simulations were conducted under different temperature conditions (100℃-300℃) based on the FdEM approach. The results indicate that the increase in the temperature difference between the rock and the injected fluid could induce the larger fracture tortuosity and fracture apertures effectively. The breakdown pressure decreased by 52% as the initial rock temperature rise from 100℃ to 300℃. The present study is expected to provide an in-depth understanding of the reservoir stimulation in EGS. © 2023 57th US rock Mechanics/Geomechanics Symposium. All rights reserved.

The quality of drilling wellbore is crucial for oilfield companies to evaluate the construction acceptance of drilling operations, evaluate the wellbore quality before cementing operations, and smoothly implement subsequent casing and electrical logging tools. At present, the evaluation of wellbore quality only requires dispersed trajectory parameters of different well sections (well inclination angle, dog leg angle, target range), and only considers whether the trajectory parameters are within the qualified range during completion acceptance. A quantitative scoring method for wellbore quality has not yet been developed, which is not conducive to the evaluation of well quality by oilfield enterprises during drilling completion acceptance. In this paper, the key parameters such as deviation measurement interval, dogleg degree, maximum deviation and target hit are comprehensively considered. Based on the comprehensive method of mathematical statistics and Matlab programming calculation, a multi-level quantitative scoring model of well bore quality is established. The key parameters in the multi-level quantitative model of well bore quality are determined by using the main control factor analysis method of random forest algorithm. Taking the A oil field as an example, a quantitative scoring was conducted on the quality of 74 drilled wells in 2021 to evaluate the effectiveness of the operation team in controlling well quality. The analysis results showed that for the A oil field, the importance of factors affecting well quality was as follows: maximum inclination > Target radius > dog leg = survey interval. during oil and gas drilling, the harmful vibration of the drill string greatly reduces drilling efficiency. The interaction between the drill bit and the formation is one of the main sources of drill string vibration. Studying the vibration characteristics of the drill bit during rock breaking is the basis for controlling the vibration of the drill string and improving drilling efficiency. This article uses a self-designed three-dimensional rock breaking test system to conduct rock breaking tests under different drilling parameters, and combines the discrete element method to study the vibration characteristics of the drill bit. research has shown that the values and vibration amplitude of weight on bit(WOB), and fluctuation amplitude of rotational speed all increase with the increase of the rate of penetration(rOP);At the same rOP, the higher the rock strength, the greater the WOB;The vibration frequency of WOB is more complex than the vibration frequency of rotational speed. The vibration frequency of WOB changes with the increase of drilling pressure, and the vibration frequency of rotational speed is independent of the magnitude of WOB, basically equal to the first-order torsional natural frequency of the system;As the drilling pressure increases, the vibration frequency of the WOB gradually approaches the vibration frequency of the rotational speed. Energy types are constantly changing due to the change of demand, and natural gas as a clean energy is gradually accepted by the world at present. In order to ensure the stable supply of natural gas, long-term, safe and effective means of peak regulation have emerged, and gas storage has developed rapidly in recent years. The injection and production condition of gas storage changes with the demand of gas peak adjustment. The formation pressure increases and the matrix stress decreases during gas injection. The formation pressure decreases and the matrix stress increases during gas recovery. Compared with production wells, injection and production wells of gas storage are more susceptible to shear stress and tensile stress under the action of alternating loads, so the phenomenon of sand production in gas storage is very common. In this paper, based on the sand production simulation device of gas storage, the influence of alternating load on sand production of gas storage is discussed through indoor experiment. In the experiment, the magnitude and times of applying alternating load are mainly changed to observe the sand production of core. The experimental results show that the core is more likely to produce sand under the action of alternating load, and the amount of sand produced gradually increases with the increase of the number of alternating load. Unconsolidated sandstones also produce sand when the alternating load is lower than the initial sand-producing pressure. The influence of alternating load on sand production of gas storage provides theoretical and experimental basis for sand production prediction and sand control completion method optimization. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2023.

For fractured low permeability reservoirs, there are challenges to enhance oil recovery after water flooding with high water cut contents. Because of unsatisfied surfactant polymer flooding, we explored the integrated EOr techniques of conformance control treatment and surfactant flooding. This paper analyzes the results of pilot tests with four injectors and 16 producers and concludes the effectiveness of integrated EOr techniques. Based on lab results of conformance control core flooding tests and surfactant based chemical EOr reservoir core flooding experiments, we did pilot simulation studies to develop pilot design parameters. Then through history match and detailed compositional simulation, we made EOr integrated technology design and compared several injection scenarios by predicting the potential performance. Finally, an integrated EOr technique with two conformance control treatments and surfactant flooding was selected and executed for three injectors in the interested pilot block. For the fourth injector, only surfactant flooding was used to compare. Lab results of conformance control core flooding tests showed the efficiency of plugging and a good fluid diversion performance of conformance polymer agents. Surfactant based chemical EOr reservoir core flooding experiments resulted from 70% to 98% residual crude oil recovery. The experimental data obtained was implemented in a numerical simulator model to find the potential incremental recovery associated with conformance control treatments and chemical flooding. A refined sector model used to further evaluate the effect of them. Positive simulation results boost pilot tests. Five fluid injection slugs including the cleaning slug, pre-flooding slug, near wellbore plugging slug, in deep conformance control slug, and surfactant flooding slug were run for three injectors in the range of eight to ten months of treatment. High-speed wired drill pipe and its corresponding communication technology not only can achieve high-speed transmission rate and high-capacity, but also can realize real-time monitoring and dual-way communication in whole section, which can prevent downhole problems effectively. As a series system, the homogeneity and robustness of these wired drill pipes are crucial. This paper focuses on how to overcome the difficulty in manufacturing process of information drill pipe and complete the validation test. In order to guarantee the quality of information drill pipe and satisfy the technological requirements of mass production, we optimize the manufacturing process and put forward reasonable test techniques. The optimizations of manufacturing process include the analysis on constant tension of pressure pipe, quantitative cutting pipe and perforation in pipe nozzle. The testing techniques includes magnetic coupling coil impedance test, high pressure test, communication performance test of both single pipe and series system. The test result can be judged and evaluated by the attenuation value of the signal attenuation test and the signal reflection waveform as well as sealing reliability. With the help of the optimization of the manufacturing process and the application of new tooling, the quality and robustness of information drill pipe is improved obviously. Pass rate in primary assembly is increased from 70% to 92%. After the second assembly, pass rate can be increased to 99.5%. Besides, the work efficiency is greatly improved and the process requirements of mass production are satisfied. The validation test can screen out the drill pipe with poor quality and performance effectively thus to improve the reliability of the whole system. By means of the improvement of manufacturing and the validation test, the comprehensive pass rate of information drill pipes is increased from 84% to 95%. during three field tests in Jilin and daqing Oilfield, the information drill pipes

With the continuous development of unconventional oil resources such as tight oil and gas in China, it is becoming increasingly more important to understand the microscopic characteristics and flow mechanism of tight oil and gas reservoirs through lab studies. It is both time consuming and costly to perform core flow tests in the very low permeability rock samples for field development. This paper described the application of high-resolution digital rock technology performed in North America in the microscopic description and flow mechanism study of the dengsi carbonate tight gas formation in the central Sichuan area. The study mainly includes: (1) The design and application of multi-scale, multi-resolution different imaging techniques to re-construct a full-diameter digital rock model to realize the three-dimensional characterization of the microscopic pores, vugs and fractures distribution of different reservoir types in the tight matrix;(2) Constructing digital rock models of different resolution and digital fluid models based on field sample and data;(3) Characterizing the permeability and porosity of digital rock models of different resolution and benchmarked against lab measurements to determine the best combination of imaging techniques;(4) Simulation of gas-water relative permeability and recovery from primary depletion at reservoir conditions. Comparing the digital core analysis with experimental results shows that the digital rock technology can be used for the evaluation of tight gas formations and flow mechanisms with high resolution, low cost, and much reduced time. digital rock models can also be reused which most time is not possible in the lab. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2023.

The Junin block in Venezuela was known as an ultra heavy oil belt reserved in extra shallow layers (950ft-1,380ft) with unconsolidated formations. A cluster wells platform drilling was required for the Field development Program (FdP). Optimisation of the well pattern and drilling of shallow 3d cluster horizontal wells for development of ultra heavy oil are presented in this paper. A well pattern of hand-shape dislocation was forwarded to enhance effective recovery of heavy oil in diamond blind area. Optimisation of the casing programs and control of the well trajectories as well as other key performance drilling were designed. A strict anti-collision barrier design and operation steps were worked out to assure the drilling safety. The loss-resistance, anti-collapse, stick-stuck proof, lubrication and reservoir protection were put into considerations for the drilling fluid design. recovery of heavy oil was enhanced by means of electrical heating system. drilling challenges such as shallow target zones, big build-up rate, long horizontal sections, great friction drag and torques, and well trajectories control were experienced and settled. Especially the puzzles of well trajectories control in unconsolidated formations, great friction drag and torques of strings in large displacement long horizontal sections for subsequent operations, and the unstable wellbore were tackled. A typical well data revealed that the horizontal displacement vs. TVd ratio was as high as up to 4.5. The setting depth of surface casing and the determination of KOP were critical to the horizontal wells with large displacement in shallow layers. Pressurized combined drilling and casing-running by means of top drive overcame the drag and torque and achieved planned Td and casing setting depth. The use of electrical wireline heating rod increased the temperatures in and close to the wellbore, and compensated the radius heat loss and avoided viscosity increase of heavy oil so that the output was main
