Many weakness planes (such as faults, joints, and micro-fractures, etc.) are usually pre-existed in rock. However, the stress statement changed by hydraulic fracture (HF) propagation may have an important impact on hydraulic fracturing, which is closely related to stress statement of weakness planes. Firstly, the rock samples containing the pre-existing weakness planes were analyzed according to the curves of volumetric strain versus stress difference acquired by laboratory experiment. Secondly, the effective normal stress and shear stress of weakness planes were calculated by the tensor transformation method. And then, weakness planes were divided into four kinds according to the relationship between stress statements of weakness planes and failure lines of Mohr diagram and the kinds of weakness planes were visually described in the Mohr diagram. Finally, it was respectively discussed that pre-existing weakness planes did have an influence on hydraulic fracturing under different stress statements. The research results show that when the effective stress is more than zero, with the effective stress decrease, weakness planes are the more easily inclined to become the dilatation phenomenon where the self-propping effect can improve the reservoirs permeability due to surface asperities of weakness planes. However, there are very complex mechanical phenomena induced by weakness planes under higher effective stress. When hydraulic fractures encounter the pre-existing weakness planes under the approximate stress statement, it may be easy to occur shear slipping of weakness planes or it is difficult to be opened by hydraulic fractures. The latter is extremely beneficial to not become the maximum simulated reservoir volume (SrV) and should be avoided by fracturing operation as early as possible. It is somewhat different that the influence of different mechanical phenomena on hydraulic fracturing, which has a certain guidance for improving hydraulic fracturing stimulation. ©

Cementing real-time remotely automatic monitoring system was developed to meet the cementing construction operation requirements and to ensure smooth and high-quality cementing work,aiming at the problems of large amount of construction equipment,large number of personnel,complicated operation procedures,and many un-expected incidents on the site of cementing construction *** construction data can be real-time collected and monitored,in addition,the cementing operation can be remotely automatic controlled by the *** system has been applied for 20 wells in Liaohe Oilfield with a 100% qualification rate of cementing quality,realizing the function of remotely automatic monitoring of cementing *** the test-up phase,the cementing rate is upto 75%.Based on wireless network communication technology,the ability to remotely monitor and control cementing operations is formed for the first time in *** level of cementing automation,scientific and informationization are initially re-alized,which will help improving the cementing quality of complex wells,deep wells and horizontal wells,and improving the overall technical level of the domestic cementing in-dustry.

directional and horizontal wells have become a conventional drilling tech-nique now,which are widely used in various types of hydrocarbon reservoirs and coal mines.A key element of the steering process is the real-time measurement and transmission of the near-bit navigation information from the bottom of the well to *** only com-mercial systems in drilling engineering transmit data to surface by producing pressure pulses within the portion of the drilling mud enclosed in the hollow *** the transmission rates are very low(just 1 ~2 bits per second) in this method,and it can not meet the needs of modern drilling.A most promising method is to use compressional acous-tic wave to transmit data along the *** this technique,telemetry signals are en-coded as acoustic wave pulses that propagate through the drillstring and are subsequently received and converted back to electric signals for data recovery at the surface *** drill string is commonly assembled from segments (9m for oil drilling or 1 m for coal mines drilling in length) of threaded pipe and forms a periodic structure,which is known to behave like band-pass *** the transmission rates can be increased to hundreds of bits per *** on the theoretical analysis and laboratory experiment of the wave propagation properties in the drillstring for both petroleum engineering and coal mine,this paper proves the feasibility of using acoustic wave as carrier signal to transmit information from downhole to surface in drilling engineering.

Erosive and abrasive wear effect of water-based drilling fluid (WBM) on down-hole tools may reduce the service life of down-hole *** erosive would be worse when a high density WBM densified with a high content weighting agent was *** of the main reasons of the erosive is related to the weighting agent *** re-duce the erosive effect of weighting agent,a micronized barite as a new weighting material was prepared in this paper,and then characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and laser particle size *** our experiments,two conventionally weighting agents,barite and hematite were chosen as the comparing *** erosive effects,lubricity and rheological properties of high density WBM weighting with micronized barite,barite and hematite were evaluated on erosion instrument,an EP lubricity tester and a rotational viscosimeter,*** was found that the high density WBM weighted with micronized barite showed less erosion,better rheological properties,and smaller lubricating coefficient than that weighted with hematite or *** with hematite or barite,the micronized barite could effectively reduce erosive wear on down-hole tools,and control the rheological property of high density WBM,which would significantly contribute to the service life of down-hole tools and the safety of drilling operations.

Fluorine is one of the most interesting elements in nuclear astrophysics. The F19(p,α)O16 reaction is of astrophysical importance in addressing fluorine abundances in the universe and CNO material loss in the first generation stars. As a day-1 campaign in the Jinping Underground Nuclear Astrophysics experiment facility (JUNA), we report the full direct measurement results of the F19(p,αγ)O16 reaction, which is one of the important channels in the F19(p,α)O16 reaction. The γ-ray yields were measured over a center-of-mass energy range of Ec.m. = 72.4–344 keV, covering the astrophysical Gamow window. The measurement has reached down to an unprecedentedly low energy of 72.4 keV. The experiment was performed under the extremely low cosmic-ray-induced background environment of the China JinPing underground Laboratory (CJPL), one of the deepest underground laboratories in the world (2400 m). The astrophysical S factors in the energy region of 72.4–188.8 keV have been derived experimentally for the first time. The present low-energy astrophysical S factors deviate significantly from previous theoretical predictions, and the associated uncertainties are remarkably reduced. The thermonuclear F19(p,αγ)O16 rate has been determined down to a low temperature of ≈0.05 GK, for astrophysical modeling, based on a firmer experimental basis. Furthermore, the present work shows that the contribution owing to the (p,α0) channel dominates the total (p,α) rate over the entire low temperature region below 0.12 GK, clarifying the role these two channels contributing to the total rate.

The Silurian Longmaxi shale formation is a widely distributed gas reservoir in the Sichuan Basin of southwest China. The thick clay rich shale has relatively high organic content, is thermally mature and is a major target for China’s shale gas production. In recent years the shale has become the host to an increasing number of induced earthquakes potentially linked to fluid injection related to hydraulic fracturing. These induced or triggered events are linked to the reactivation of faults. This paper explores the frictional and stability properties of Longmaxi shale to provide insights into the causal mechanisms of induced seismicity and their geological and structural controls. rock samples from a geological section spanning ~150 m were powdered for friction experiments at recreated in-situ stresses and temperatures. Experimental results show that fault frictional and stability properties are strongly controlled by mineral composition. Frictional strength increases with a reduction in phyllosilicate content and exerts a significant control on seismicity. Two of the ten samples exhibited velocity weakening behavior under in-situ conditions, potentially identifying compositions that contribute to unstable slip. These findings have important implications in understanding the frequency and occurrence of induced earthquakes triggered as a result of hydraulic fracturing. ©2019 Japanese Society for rock Mechanics,

We fabricate an undoped Ge quantum well under a 30 nm relaxed Ge0.8Si0.2 shallow barrier. The bottom barrier contains Ge0.8Si0.2 (650 ℃) followed by Ge0.9Si0.1 (800 ℃) such that variation of Ge content forms a sharp interface that can suppress the threading dislocation density (Tdd) penetrating into the undoped Ge quantum well. The Ge0.8Si0.2 barrier introduces enough in-plane parallel strain (Ε strain -0.41%) in the Ge quantum well. The heterostructure field-effect transistors with a shallow buried channel obtain an ultrahigh two-dimensional hole gas (2dHG) mobility over 2×106 cm2/Vs and a very low percolation of 5.625 × 1010cm−2. A tunable fractional quantum Hall effect at high densities and high magnetic fields has also been observed. diabetes is a well-known endocrine system disorder whose incidence has increased recently. The has been shown that the synthesis of new more effective antidiabetic drugs is needed because the drugs used in the treatment of diabetes have many side effects and are used in combination. Since hydrazone derivatives are very active compounds with antidiabetic effects, this aim of this study was to synthesize a series of hydrazone derivatives showing potential antidiabetic activity. In the inhibition activity of α-amylase and α-glucosidase, the compounds that showed the best inhibitory effect against both enzymes were determined as compounds 8 (IC50= 30.21±0.16 µM for α-amylase;IC50= 38.06±0.80 µM for α-glucosidase) and 10 (IC50= 34.49±0.37 µM for α-amylase;IC50= 40.44±0.23 µM for α-glucosidase). All of the compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic effect by the 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) test on the human embryonic kidney cell line (HEK293). Compounds 7 and 9 have been observed to kill half of the healthy HEK293 cells (IC50: 61.04 µM and IC50: 69.25 µM) respectively. Other compounds and the positive control acarbose showed no cytotoxic effects on healthy cells even at high concentrations. Additionally, the properties of molecules such as H-bond acceptors, H-bond donors, topological polar surface area (TPSA), Lipinski, iLogP, Gastrointestinal (GI) absorption, and Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB) permeability were also investigated with the SwissAdME program used in drug design. Molecular docking simulations of the synthesized hydrazone derivatives, especially compounds 8 and 10, revealed strong interactions with α-glucosidase and α-amylase in their active sites. © 2025, The Authors.
