due to insufficient cement return height during cementing operations, there may be a channel for oil and gas leakage between the wellbore and the formation, causing environmental problems such as groundwater pollution. Therefore, it is necessary to reinject the cement slurry into the original wellbore annulus and evaluate the sealing performance of the remedial cement sheath. However, the current theoretical and applied research on this aspect is relatively lacking. In response to this, a new model for calculating elastoplastic strain of the remedial cement sheath/original cement sheath based on damage mechanics was established, and the plastic deformation behavior of the interface area was studied. The seal failure mechanism of the wellbore remedial cement sheath is clarified, and the influence of the mechanical parameters of the remedial cement sheath on the cumulative plastic strain and the micro-annulus of the remedial cement sheath-casing interface is analyzed. The results show that under the combined action of the internal pressure of the casing and the non-uniform ground stress, the cumulative plastic deformation of the inner wall of the remedial cement sheath and the micro-annular gap at the interface are the main reasons for the sealing failure of the remedial cement sheath. Increasing the Poisson’s ratio, cohesion strength and internal friction angle of the remedial cement sheath and reducing the elastic modulus of the remedial cement sheath, is helpful to reduce the accumulated plastic strain and improve the sealing performance of the remedial cement sheath. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

For judging the formation lithology accurately, guiding the tool to drill in target reservoir, correcting drilling trajectory timely and improving the encounter rate, a near-bit 16-sector imaging LWd system that can be used in water-base and oil-base drilling fluid is presented in this paper. The LWd system is consisted of near-bit gamma imaging sub, screw and data receiving sub. It can be used in unconventional reservoirs such as shale and coalbed methane reservoir to achieve data measurement and stable transmission of near-bit deviation and gamma-ray. Compared with 8-sector gamma imaging, the application of 16-sector dynamic high-precision gamma scanning imaging technology provides more precise, accurate and timely parameters measurement. The near-bit gamma imaging LWd system has been provided successfully used in coalbed methane reservoir. The field application shows that this system exhibits excellent identification for coal lines and carbonaceous mudstones, and could guide drilling tool back to reservoir in the absence of formation, with the drilling ratio of reservoir by 97%. The application of near-bit gamma imaging LWd system in horizontal coalbed methane lay foundation for the study of dynamic high-precision gamma scanning imaging technology used in unconventional reservoirs. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

There are some problems in traditional network architecture, such as traffic can not be real-time scheduling, business information can not be visualized, operation and maintenance is complex, and fault location efficiency is low. In order to meet the needs of 'digital Petroleum' network infrastructure construction, a company introduced SdN technology into the campus office network, and carried out network optimization management and innovation practice, this paper puts forward a network transformation scheme based on SdN 'The network follows the people', through deploying SdN control server and adjusting the network equipment configuration, the office network can be expanded flexibly and maintained efficiently, to meet the needs of different types of application traffic classification management and intelligent precision scheduling, effectively improve the level of intelligent network management. © 2023 IEEE.

during waterflooding, suspend solids are usually contained in the injected water, which may gradually block pores and cause formation damage after flowing into a formation and being trapped there. Water treatment is usually conducted on the surface to reduce TSS (Total Suspended Solids) before being injected. However, to what extent the TSS should be controlled depends on specific water injection conditions and there are no methods in industry to quantitatively evaluate it. Meanwhile, the corrections between the injection parameters and the extent of formation damage are not clear. In this paper, a near-wellbore axisymmetric suspension flow and particle retention model is established based on the Langmuirian Pore Blocking mechanism. This model is solved numerically by Shampine's code developed in MATLAB using an explicit central finite deference method. Based on this model, pressure drop, damage factor, damage zone radius and damage time are defined and the methods to obtain them are described. With assumed injection parameters, the basic tendencies of particle retention as well as the influences of TSS, injection rate, initial filtration coefficient and maximum formation retention capacity are investigated. A general guideline is given in the end, suggesting the determination of three formation-related parameters and control of four operational parameters. A workflow for determining the TSS of injection water based on these models is also proposed. The modelling results using the assumed water injection parameters lead to deep understandings on the particle retention-caused formation damage. The concentration of retained particles is the highest near a wellbore and gradually declines to zero. Most of the particle retention occurs within five meters to the wellbore. The concentration of retained particles gradually increases with time, and the rate of increase is relatively high at the beginning of water injection but slows down with injection time. Breakthrough pressure, as an index to measure the sealing capacity of cap capillary, has always been the focus of gas storage seal integrity research. In this paper, using the method of SY-T5778-2013 to measure the rock gas breakthrough pressure, a breakthrough pressure test was carried out on the rock samples from the cover of the hydrogen storage reservoir of Well Jintanmao 17, and the influence law of the alternate load, porosity, permeability and breakthrough gas on the breakthrough pressure was analyzed. The results show that: (1) the breakthrough pressure of rock is mainly controlled by the permeability and other parameters, and the permeability is negatively correlated with the breakthrough pressure;(2) The alternating load before the yield point increases the core breakthrough pressure, and the alternating load after the yield point causes the core breakthrough pressure to decrease;(3) The air breakthrough pressure of mudstone is greater than the helium breakthrough pressure under the same conditions. refracturing technique is a promising means to improve the output and estimated ultimate recovery of shale oil and gas resources, which is an efficient method to recover the productivity of low permeability old wells either. refracturing technique has achieved good results in the development of shale gas wells in North America, which increase the output and decrease the extraction cost significantly of shale gas resources. It is also necessary to improve development efficiency in shale gas of China using the refracturing technique on account of that the defects of unstable and large attenuation of the production are exposed with the further development of shale oil and gas resources in China. The principle and characteristics of refracturing technique are elaborated in this paper. The research progress of refracturing technique is introduced and the theories and applications of conventional refracturing methods like mechanical steering, chemical steering and fiber steering are discussed. The development trend of refracturing technology is also analyzed and the difference on merits and demerits between conventional refracturing methods and advanced methods like the wellbore reconstruction method based on expandable tubular are compared. The conclusions obtained in this paper can provide a theoretical reference for the development of refracturing technique and could provide a technical support for cost decreasing and benefit increasing for the exploration of shale oil and gas resources in China. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Lost circulation is a technical problem in drilling engineering, resulting in increased drilling cost and extended drilling cycle. reservoir rocks in Block A of Shale Gas have the characteristics of low porosity and low permeability, strong heterogeneity and fault fracture development. Lost circulation is mainly caused by fracture. Seismic fracture prediction to assess lost circulation risk has limitations. Therefore, it is necessary to study more effective methods of lost circulation risk assessment. In this paper, based on the analysis of lost circulation, seismic prediction on fractures and rock mechanics parameters in block A, a comprehensive evaluation method of lost circulation index is formed by using seismic prediction of the relative degree of fracture development, fracture apparent length and the combination of Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio in 3d attribute modeling, and the classification evaluation standard is established. The method is used to evaluate the lost circulation risk of completion drilling in shale gas well of Block A, and the evaluation results are consistent with the well drilling data. Lost circulation index evaluation method can effectively evaluate the risk of lost circulation in shale formation with low porosity and low permeability, strong heterogeneity and fracture development, which can promote the efficient development of shale gas. © 2022 ArMA, American rock Mechanics Association.

Nanoparticles(NPs)have gained significant attention as a functional material due to their ability to effectively enhance pressure reduction in injection processes in ultra-low permeability *** are typically studied in controlled laboratory conditions,and their behavior in real-world,complex environments such as ultra-low permeability reservoirs,is not well understood due to the limited scope of their *** study investigates the efficacy and underlying mechanisms of NPs in decreasing injection pressure under various injection conditions(25—85℃,10—25 MPa).The results reveal that under optimal injection conditions,NPs effectively reduce injection pressure by a maximum of 22.77%in core *** pressure reduction rate is found to be positively correlated with oil saturation and permeability,and negatively correlated with temperature and ***,particle image velocimetry(PIV)experiments(25℃,atmospheric pressure)indicate that the pressure reduction is achieved by NPs through the reduction of wall shear resistance and wettability *** work has important implications for the design of water injection strategies in ultra-low permeability reservoirs.
