Vibration measurement while drilling is very ***-time analysis of the vibration data can be used to evaluate the performance of the downhole tools and to identify the *** paper briefly introduced the work principles,composition and ap-plication of the *** system is composed of near-bit vibration measurement tool,surface vibration detecting device,wireless transmitting system,signal processing and in-dicating software *** downhole measurement system detects and processes the near-bit data,the result is sent to surface in real time,then operators can change drilling parameters in time if harmful downhole conditions are indicated,considering with the sur-face *** system has been extensively tested and proved to be effective in i-dentifying the difference of breaking fossil coal and other *** in CBM drilling,the conventional electromagnetic resistivity or gamma measurement while drilling system mounts far away from the bit(more than 7m),however the rOP of CBM drilling is usually high,which lead to time lag and large deviation of *** use of near-bit and surface vibration measurement while drilling system can identify the seam top or floor as quickly as the bit contact the boundary,to increase drilling ***,with the vibration measurement while drilling tool,the drilling efficiency can be remarkably im-proved.

Casing deformation Caused by Hydraulic Fracturing-Induced Fault Slip in Sichuan Basin and Optimization of Treatment Parameters

Casing deformation is a key issue that restricts the efficient development of shale gas in the Sichuan Basin. In this study, the H pad of shale gas wells in this area is used to determine correlations among the casing deformation and ant-tracking faults, microseismic events, and treatment pressure. The results show that the deformation might have been caused by fault slip induced by hydraulic fracturing. Moreover, three-dimensional seismic and well log data are used to establish fracture and in situ stress models based on discrete fracture network and finite element methods, respectively. The relationship between treatment parameters and fault activation is established by hydraulic fracturing simulation, from which the parameter sensitivity is evaluated. The results show that when the fluid volume is reduced by 20%, the length of the activated fault and the number of activated fractures decrease by 9% and 23%, respectively. In contrast, when the pumping rate is reduced by 20%, these parameters decrease by 25% and 38%, respectively. These results indicate that reducing the pumping rate is more effective than reducing the fluid volume for mitigating fault activation. In summary, arranging the fracture stages adjacent to the fracture zones should reduce the pumping rate to some extent. This method can be used to mitigate fault activation during hydraulic fracturing, which in turn can prevent casing deformation.

Case study: Analysis of the correlation between casing deformation and fracture zone in Changning Block, Sichuan

Casing deformation is an engineering problem that restricts the efficient development of shale gas in the Sichuan Basin. This paper analyzed the correlation between 67 casing deformation points and 256 fracture zones in the N201 wellfield, and conducted a statistical analysis of the distribution of the orientation of fracture zones, which may have/have not caused casing deformation. The Mohr–Coulomb criterion was used to analyze the stress state and the slip risk of these fracture zones. The results show indicate the following. (1) Fracture zone is the main factor leading to casing deformation. (2) Fracture zones with 60°–90° and 110°–120° orientations are likely to cause casing deformation, whereas fracture zones with 50°–70° orientation are relatively less likely to cause casing deformation. (3) The analysis of stress state shows that the orientations of high-risk fractures range from 74°–100° and 130°–160°, the orientations of medium-risk fractures range from 64°–74°, 100°–130°, and 160°–170 °, and the orientations of low-risk fractures are in the range of 0°–64° and 170°–180°. The theoretical results are basically consistent with the field statistical results. These results provide an explanation for the field statistical results in theory. This work not only demonstrates that a fracture zone is the major geological factor that causes casing deformation, but also provides a feasible method for us to predict the casing deformation in the future.

Synthesis and fluorescence properties of dansyl labeled triazine dendrons

A series of fluorescent dendrons with dansulfonyl group as a fluorophore attached at the focal point were synthesized by a convergent method. There was no need for tedious and lengthy protection/deprotection or chromatographic separation. The method provided simple operation and high yield. Their fluorescence characteristic in dichloromethane was investigated. The results indicated that the dendritic modification had positive effect on the emission of fluorescence, and the emission maximum of dansylated dendrons was enhanced up to 20-fold. Meanwhile, the fluorescent intensity of dansylated dendrons could be remarkably improved with the increase of dendron generation. These findings can contribute significantly to the general understanding of the dendron systems and also for potential applications in photochemical molecular devices and organic electroluminescent devices.

Located in south of Eastern Venezuela Basin,Orinoco Oilfieldis an on-shore heavy oil field in South *** heavy oil is known for its high content of acids,heavy metals and asphaltenes with a viscosity of 1000~ 10000mPa · *** to the reserve report released by PdVSA by the end of 2016,JUNIN Block that is situated in east of Orinoco Oilfield has an OOIP of 178×*** of drilled wells were and distances between offset horizontal intervals were both studied to improve ultimate production rates.3-dimension borehole trajectories were de-signed and the most effective anti-collision measures were *** optimziation 8 ~ 12 horizontal wells are distributed on one *** the horizontal interval extends,the stable production time is prolonged and the accumulative production per well ***,the recovery rate stops increasing when the horizontal interval is over 1600m in JUNIN *** a large space between offset horizontal intervals results in fewer wells and lower costs,but a smaller space contributes to a higher production efficiency per *** the space exceeds 600m,the accumulative production rate increases much more slightly.A three-dimension well trajectory consists of a vertical interval,an angle building interval,an angle holding interval,an angle building & direction changing interval,a direction turning interval as well as an absolute horizontal *** on existing well patterns all wells with 3-dimension trajectories have been placed appropriately on their *** is proved that the optimized borehole trajectories and anti-collision measures are effective in overal field development.

When most oil fields have entered high water cut stage, the distribution of oil and water is more and more complex. Profile control and water shutoff is an important technology for water control and oil stabilization. Some types of water invasion in special reservoirs such as bottom water coning or edge water propelling in horizontal wells, water invasion in micro facture and big pore carry more challenges for profile control and water shutoff technology. Beyond that this technology is also affected by the plugging agent injection's uncertainty and migration randomness. On the basis of earlier research, this paper introduces the plugging agent formulas, technology and field application of three types of technologies which are as follows, casing channeling treatment technology, water invasion plugging technology in interlayer and water invasion in horizontal well. The three types of fixed point sealing technology can achieve the accurate injection of shutoff agent and good results had obtained in site test.

Bottom Hole Pressure Calculation of Fractured Carbonate Formation

Carbonate formation is widely distributed in China, mainly showing the sensitivity of the target formation and the development of fracture and cavity types and narrow pressure window. drilling complicated conditions such as formation leakage or bottom hole pressure less than formation pressure due to gas entering wellbore occur from time to time. To solve these problems, calculating the bottom hole pressure accurately and conducting managed pressure drilling (MPd) for fractured carbonate formation are necessary. In this study, the single-phase hydraulic model based on H-B rheological model is calculated. According to the characteristics of fractured carbonate formation, the drilling fluid leakage model is obtained. By coupling the leakage model with the single-phase wellbore hydraulic model, the bottom hole pressure calculation method is suitable for fractured carbonate formation, which can provide reference for managed pressure control drilling technology. Such a technology is verified by Bozhong X well through the above calculation method of bottom hole pressure. The model is used to simulate the leakage behavior of transverse and longitudinal fractures. Moreover, the variation characteristics of the leakage rate and cumulative leakage amount of the drilling fluid in the fracture are investigated. By comparing the loss control with conventional drilling and MPd, the advantages of controlled pressure drilling operation in the loss control are described.

In the process of oilfield development, with the continuous development of resource exploitation and oil transportation, the later exploitation is likely to reduce the potential energy of the oilfield, which has a serious impact on the oil exploitation. In order to make our oilfield development efficiency has been significantly improved, and effectively improve the comprehensive development and utilization efficiency of our oilfield, we must continue to use the oilfield potential enhancement technology. Study on the mechanism of the effect of changing ξ potential of rock surface on rock-breaking efficiency

The relationship between ξ potential of near surface of rock and rock-breaking efficiency in recent years were reviewed. Based on the microscale of crystal lattice, the influence of cataclysmic change of induced dipole on ξ potential of near surface of rock core in the process of rock failure was investigated. The effect of changing potential on the hardness of near surface of rock was analyzed. The results indicated that ξ potential of near surface of rock could be changed suddenly by induced dipole from the crystal lattice of rock core caused by microfracture extension. In addition, the rock-breaking efficiency could be improved by changing ξ potential of rock surface. This study can be helpful for the design of novel additives for drilling fluids, and endow with economically and technically viable petroleum development and production processes.
