One way that technology is changing the legal profession is by increasing the role of neural networks in intellectual property rights (IPR). The present status of intellectual property rights might be drastically changed if neural networks were to be used to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness of copyright, patent, and trademark procedures. Neural networks have had a significant influence on several IP-related applications, such as patent analysis and search, copyright infringement detection, and trademark search. Included in the suggested method are model training, feature extraction, and pre-processing. The goal of pre-processing is to eliminate or replace irrelevant or noisy data from each tweet so that sentiment classification can proceed more effectively. Algorithms for sentiment categorization and information content analysis make up feature extraction. The training process always made use of the DGNN model. This cutting-edge approach outperforms CNN and GNN with an average accuracy of 9 1. 4 5 %. © 2024 IEEE.

The cloud computing platform has become a prime aspect of modern-day-day software program programs. But its quality of provider (quality of service) has been hard to measure correctly, as there is no clear definition of what quality of carrier is and how it should be measured. To address this mission, researchers have created numerous quality of service metrics and models to measure the performance of cloud structures. Those metrics measure service attributes' quality, including availability, scalability, latency, potential, safety, and price. They also degree user experience and personal satisfaction regarding the high quality of net services, responsiveness, and accessibility. By measuring and analyzing the overall performance of a cloud platform, users can benefit from a better understanding of what they're receiving and take essential steps to deal with any troubles. Moreover, such metrics can also be used for carrier opinions, market competition, or to make choices regarding resource allocation. This abstract gives a top-level view of the recent advancements in intelligent measurement of quality of service for cloud computing systems. Cloud computing structures offer monstrous flexibility and scalability to customers. The overall performance of a cloud platform is, however, strongly tormented by the first-rate carrier (quality of service). Typically, the quality of service is derived from exceptional metrics, along with the response time, availability, throughput, security, and many others. Intelligent methods have become extra famous if you want to achieve a more robust quality of service monitoring and measurement. Those strategies use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and system mastering (ML) technology to identify anomalies. Automated actions are taken to ensure that the quality of service remains first-rate. The research is devoted to the transformations of the regional financial system in the conditions of rapidly changing global markets. The purpose of the article is to conduct a comprehensive retrospective assessment of the level of development of the regional financial system on the example of the North-Western Federal District according to the methodological tools developed by the authors. The assessment of the development of the financial system sectors of the Northwestern Federal District regions since the pre-crisis 2007 is given in comparison with the average Russian values. Methods of analysis and synthesis, classification, system and complex analysis, and statistical groupings are used to solve the tasks set in the work. The information base of the study included the use of reporting data from the Federal Treasury, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, and the Federal State Statistics Service. © 2021 ACM.

Inclusive Design of Advanced Wearable Health Monitoring Systems: Validating a Contact Pressure Prediction Model with a Sports Bra

The integration of wearable biosignal monitoring systems into daily healthcare has marked a significant advancement in medical care. Yet, the design of these devices often neglects the anatomical specificity of individual bodies, compromising both functionality and comfort. This oversight is particularly pronounced in research on the effective placement of 3-lead electrodes, selecting suitable materials, and customizing fit for women's diverse body shapes. To address this gap, this research introduces a novel design methodology for the development of advanced wearable health-monitoring garments, focusing on smart sports bras as a case study. This approach emphasizes contact pressure (CP) optimization for electrode placement, material selection, and sizing to enhance biosignal acquisition and comfort for the wearer. The study identifies optimal horizontal 3-lead electrode placements and configurations, the most effective across three female participants with diverse body mass indices (BMIs). Furthermore, the research employs a simulation-based contact pressure model (CP model) to precisely engineer desired pressure levels through strategic material selection and sizing adjustments. Guided by the CP model, screen-printed silver/silver chloride electrodes are incorporated into single jersey knit fabric, adjusted by a 20% pattern size reduction for a tailored electrocardiogram (ECG) chest band in the optimized configuration. This achieves a signal-to-noise ratio of 40.9, closely comparable to the 41.9 ratio obtained with traditional wet electrodes, while also exhibiting a higher QRS amplitude above 0.84mV, benchmarked against 12-lead electrodes for reliability. The study further identifies an optimal contact pressure range of 0.56-1.24 kPa for ECG chest bands and a subjective pressure tolerance range of 0.93 to 1.8 kPa in the chest area across female subjects. The presented a groundbreaking and economical approach to enhancing the sustainability of residential buildings by optimizing smart building energy systems. This approach, which is instrumental in advancing the shift towards a sustainable future, focuses on maximizing occupant comfort while markedly diminishing the energy footprint and emissions of the built environment. The study offers a comprehensive techno-economic and environmental analysis of the system performance conducted on residential apartments in Baghdad, Iraq. The results are promising, showing that the system successfully transfers 75.6 MWh of renewable electricity to the local grid and utilizes an additional 120.42 MWh for the internal needs of the building and operation of electrical components. A key component of the system is the biomass heater, which meets over 70.2% of the heating demand, proving particularly effective during periods of low solar power availability and high electricity costs. This highlights the importance of integrating diverse energy sources to reduce dependence on the grid. The results also reveals that the costs associated with energy consumption are substantially offset by the revenue generated from selling excess renewable energy during high-production periods. This results in average monthly energy costs being maintained below $151.2/MWh over several years. This cost-efficiency is achieved by eschewing batteries and optimizing the dimensions of the heat pump. Additionally, the system demonstrates a low emission index of 12.85 kgCO 2 /MWh, indicating a potential reduction in CO 2 emissions by 75.6 TCO 2 /year compared to traditional energy mixes.

Aaron Williams is the Senior Data Research Scientist in the Office of Diversity and Engagement at the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science. Before joining UVA Williams worked as a principal data analyst at a Fortune 100 financial technology company building models and reporting dashboards from enterprise scale data warehouses. Shanta Whitaker is a health policy consultant at Logistics Management Institute (LMI) a management consulting firm based in Tysons VA. Before switching to health policy Dr. Whitaker was the Associate Director of the Health Professions Advising Program at Yale University. Stephanie Yingling is a government consultant at Logistics Management Institute (LMI) a management consulting firm based in Tysons VA. To meet projected labor demands in science and engineering, the workforce of the future must be educated today in increasing numbers. Indeed, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) underpin the government's ability to defend the nation and to assure the vitality of the economy. STEM jobs are the fastest growing occupational category and, by 2020, 65% of all jobs in the U.S. will require a post-secondary degree with STEM literacy skills (Carnevale, Smith, & Strohl, 2013). However, according to the U.S. Department of Education, less than 25 percent of college students pursuing bachelor's degrees will be specializing in STEM fields (National Center for Education Statistics, 2012). In addition, the current STEM workforce is predominantly male and White or Asian, even as women and racial and ethnic minority groups are projected to comprise greater percentages of the U.S. population in the coming decades. To meet the growing global demand for a STEM workforce, every segment of the U.S. population will need to be engaged in a successful STEM education. A first critical step will be for academia, government, and nongovernmental agencies to understand the challenges diverse students face in their quest to join the STEM workforce. The goal of the project described in this article is to close the achievement gap of underrepresented minority and underserved students (URMS) and to contribute to addressing the STEM crisis facing the nation. In addition to the longitudinal, five phase research project outlined in this article, UVA engineering's Office of Diversity and Education (ODE) will work to assemble a comprehensive clearinghouse of survey and records data on factors related to STEM education from sources such as admissions, student affairs, student health, academic records and campus-wide surveys in institutional research offices, and UVA's own research and work.

Stereoscopic agriculture is an old and effective mode of production in China, but it stagnates now. This paper analyzes an innovative pattern of stereoscopic agriculture and its advantages on enhancing land use efficiency, taking Inner Mongolia as an example. With results from analysis on its development and case study, we conclude that stereoscopic agriculture, in its nature, is a complex system with a series of innovations. From historical perspective, to enhance land use efficiency in a sustainable way, suitable explanation on stereoscopic agriculture is needed, while case study shows its advantages of diversification on income, capital, and risk to enhance efficiency in both economic and sustainable way. © 2017 American Society of Civil Engineers.

The average time for the completion of all the projects in Iran is estimated to be 8.9 years. However, the same average for the completed projects in 2007 was reported to be 11.1 years. Any difference between the estimated time for the completion of a project and its actual time is called project delay. This delay equals the sum of all the delays in the activities in critical paths. Delay analysis includes identification, study, and analysis of factors causing delays, source of delays, and the role of each in the overall delay of a project. The study of the causes of delay in construction projects around the world demonstrates that the causes of delay are different in different countries. This is due to social and cultural differences, the type of contract and construction, political issues, state regulations, geological conditions, and the weather in the region. Hence, dealing with such problems is a general concern. In this study, in addition to past studies, delay in the construction projects in Iran are gathered and introduced. So, the first objective of this paper is to identify and classify delay causes in Iran and to introduce current procedures for control delays. As second objective, to manage delay-claims crisis, two practical frameworks were proposed for the classification and assessment of delays. © 2017 American Society of Civil Engineers.
