The main goal of data fusion in remote sensing is integrating the respective superiority and complementary information of multi-source data to serve the applications. Most conventional fusion algorithm is oriented to fuse the multispectral (hyperspectral) data with panchromatic data such as IHS fusion, PCA fusion, DWT fusion, Brovey fusion etc. Although these methods have been widely used, they still have a problem that can't maintain the spatial information and spectral information synchronously. In this study, a new fusion algorithm aiming at fusing multispectral data and hyperspectral data was developed in following steps: First, classify the hyperspectral data into groups basing on the wavelength range of each multispectral band; second, process each band group by PCA, and combine all the first components to a new multispectral data; then, separate each original multispectral pixel by the homologous pixel and its eight neighbor pixels in the new multispectral data; Finally, mix the homologous 9 pixels of hyperspectral data by the abundance got by former step. The applying on AVIRIS data 'cuprite' brought by ENVI shows an excellent result and verified the validity.

Cylinder tanks appear as arcs in SAR image. It is found the radius of some arcs is bigger than the radius of the tank. To analysis this phenomenon, combining the scattering theory and the principle of SAR, a novel prediction model about the SAR image of cylinder tanks, including the tanks with fixed top and floating top, is proposed. Analysis on details of the SAR image of the tanks is provided by the prediction model. Several experiments are implemented.

Motion compensation is an indispensable step for generating a high quality image in the airbore SAR system. In bistatic SAR, there are two separate platforms and their velocities cannot keep same all the time. So the echoes are transmitted and received at uniform positions, respectively, which deteriorate the imaging results. In this paper, an azimuth resample method for compensating the velocity variance along the flying direction is promoted, and the difference of azimuth resample between mono static SAR and bistatic SAR is pointed out. Finally, simulated results show the validity of the method. © VDE VERLAG GMBH · Berlin · Offenbach.

The kth-order polynomial range model (PRM) for Medium-Earth-Orbit (MEO) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) signal processing is proposed, analyzed, and verified in this paper. The coefficients of the PRM are calculated according to the relative state vectors between the satellite and the given target on earth, which implies power series expansion around the beam center crossing time. In addition, the relevant two-dimensional spectrum is deduced out as well by using the principle of stationary phase (POSP) and the series reversion approximation. The accuracy of this spectrum is flexible and limited both by the order of the PRIM and the order of the spectrum in an expanded form. Therefore, the PRMbased spectrum is general for MEO SAR with any azimuth resolution at any orbit height

A novel single channel SAR-GMTI method is proposed in this paper. When the azimuth mismatch filter performs compression, it induces shifted difference between the stationary and moving targets because of having different Doppler center. The proposed method employs this character to separate moving targets from stationary targets. It can produce two images by pulse compression which make use of two symmetrical mismatch filters in azimuth direction, and then cancel stationary and retain moving targets by subtracting one image from another. Compared with traditional methods, it is applicable to both low and high squint case and the detection capability is significantly improved. The simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2010 IEEE.
