This paper presents a tool relying on data service architecture, where technical details of all VBS datasets are completely hidden behind an abstract stateless data layer. The data services allow independent development of interactive search interfaces and refinement techniques, which is demonstrated by a smart front-end component. The component supports common search features and allows users to exploit content-based statistics for effective filtering. We believe that video data services might be a valuable addition to the open-source VBS toolkit, especially when available for the competition on a shared server with all VBS datasets, extracted features, and meta-data behind. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Lung cancer is a leading cause of global mortality *** detection of pulmonary tumors can significantly enhance the survival rate of ***,various computer-Aided Diagnostic(CAD)methods have been developed to enhance the detection of pulmonary nodules with high ***,the existing method-ologies cannot obtain a high level of specificity and *** present study introduces a novel model for Lung Cancer Segmentation and Classification(LCSC),which incorporates two improved architectures,namely the improved U-Net architecture and the improved AlexNet *** LCSC model comprises two distinct *** first stage involves the utilization of an improved U-Net architecture to segment candidate nodules extracted from the lung ***,an improved AlexNet architecture is employed to classify lung *** the first stage,the proposed model demonstrates a dice accuracy of 0.855,a precision of 0.933,and a recall of 0.789 for the segmentation of candidate *** suggested improved AlexNet architecture attains 97.06%accuracy,a true positive rate of 96.36%,a true negative rate of 97.77%,a positive predictive value of 97.74%,and a negative predictive value of 96.41%for classifying pulmonary cancer as either benign or *** proposed LCSC model is tested and evaluated employing the publically available dataset furnished by the Lung Image Database Consortium and Image Database Resource Initiative(LIDC-IDRI).This proposed technique exhibits remarkable performance compared to the existing methods by using various evaluation parameters.

FedDAD: Federated Domain Adaptation for Object Detection

Training an object detection model often requires numerous annotated images on a centralized host, which may violate user privacy and data confidentiality. Federated learning (FL) resolves this issue by allowing multiple clients, e.g., cameras, to collaboratively train a model while protecting user privacy. However, models trained with FL may fail to be generalized for new target domain due to domain shift when the data between source and target domains are statistically different. In this work, we formulate a real-world object detection problem as a source-free multi-domain adaptation problem in FL architecture. Moreover, we propose an adaptive FL algorithm, called FedDAD (Federated Domain Adaptive Detector), which aggregates models with dynamic attention targeting the unsupervised domain on server, and utilize instance-level alignment to alleviate the effects of scene variation on clients. Experimental results show that FedDAD improves the average precision (AP) by up to 10.05% and 19.15% compared to the popular FedAvg for specific object classes in the KAIST and MI3 datasets, respectively. © 2013 IEEE.

Unsupervised representation learning has become an important ingredient of today's deep learning systems. However, only a few methods exist that explain a learned vector embedding in the sense of providing information about which parts of an input are the most important for its representation. These methods generate the explanation for a given input after the model has been evaluated and tend to produce either inaccurate explanations or are slow, which limits their practical use. To address these limitations, we introduce the Neural Explanation Masks (NEM) framework, which turns a fixed representation model into a self-explaining system by augmenting it with a masking neural network. This network provides occlusion-based explanations in parallel to computing the representations during inference. We present an instance of this framework, the NEM-U (NEM using U-net structure) architecture, which leverages similarities between segmentation and occlusion-based explanation masks. Our experiments show that NEM-U generates explanations faster and with lower complexity compared to the current state-of-the-art while maintaining high accuracy as measured by locality. The paper considers the condition and comparison of representation on the Internet of both unaffected and reformed research institutions, in order to form a methodology for assessing the possibility of adequate and timely response to the enormous social and economic challenges occurring in the world;for this purpose, websites' content condition and dynamics are analyzed using the example of agricultural research institutions based on monitoring thereof in 2017 and 2022. It is shown that the science reform proved itself inconsistent since at first it did not respond to the demands of production during the pandemic, and now to the requests due to sanctions. The result of the science reform was a significant increase in the number of uninformative websites, which contradicts the new social order that all sectors of society, business, and management generate for digital tools for transferring scientific developments to the economy against the backdrop of severe sanctions and the pandemic. © 2023 IEEE.

Model quantification uses low bit-width values to represent the weight matrices of existing models to be quantized, which is a promising approach to reduce both storage and computational overheads of deploying highly anticipated LLMs. However, current quantization methods suffer severe performance degradation when the bit-width is extremely reduced, and thus focus on utilizing 4-bit or 8-bit values to quantize models. This paper boldly quantizes the weight matrices of LLMs to 1-bit, paving the way for the extremely low bit-width deployment of LLMs. For this target, we introduce a 1-bit model compressing framework named OneBit, including a novel 1-bit parameter representation method to better quantize LLMs as well as an effective parameter initialization method based on matrix decomposition to improve the convergence speed of the quantization framework. Sufficient experimental results indicate that OneBit achieves good performance (at least 81% of the non-quantized performance on LLaMA models) with robust training processes when only using 1-bit weight matrices. Then, beetle swarm antenna search (BSAS) algorithm withIterative Dichotomiser 3 (ID3) classification method was implied for ASDdetection and classification. The design of BSAS algorithm helps to determinethe parameter values of the ID3 classifier. The performance analysis of theASDC-OSAML model is performed using benchmark dataset. An extensivecomparison study highlighted the supremacy of the ASDC-OSAML modelover recent state of art approaches.

Exploiting a No-Regret Opponent in Repeated Zero-Sum Games

In repeated zero-sum games, instead of constantly playing an equilibrium strategy of the stage game, learning to exploit the opponent given historical interactions could typically obtain a higher utility. However, when playing against a fully adaptive opponent, one would have difficulty identifying the opponent’s adaptive dynamics and further exploiting its potential weakness. In this paper, we study the problem of optimizing against the adaptive opponent who uses no-regret learning. No-regret learning is a classic and widely-used branch of adaptive learning algorithms. We propose a general framework for online modeling no-regret opponents and exploiting their weakness. With this framework, one could approximate the opponent’s no-regret learning dynamics and then develop a response plan to obtain a significant profit based on the inferences of the opponent’s strategies. We employ two system identification architectures, including the recurrent neural network (RNN) and the nonlinear autoregressive exogenous model, and adopt an efficient greedy response plan within the framework. Theoretically, we prove the approximation capability of our RNN architecture at approximating specific no-regret dynamics. Empirically, we demonstrate that during interactions at a low level of non-stationarity, our architectures could approximate the dynamics with a low error, and the derived policies could exploit the no-regret opponent to obtain a decent utility. © Shanghai Jiao Tong University 2023.
