The term "Cyber Security"is getting more and more popular and important over the last few years. Since computers and most of the devices are connected to the internet, they are likely to be hacked by the hackers. In the past, this issue was not a big problem, because not every device is required to be connected to the internet or the internet was not popular as today. But the case has changed over the years. All the changes in the technology area also changed the cyber-attack models as well. With the development of technology and the change of usage of the internet over the last years cyber-attacks have become more common and popular by the hackers. Hackers have discovered that they have an opportunity to steal or earn money in a short time without having to spend too much effort. These days, the type of cyber-attacks is not the same as the ones in the past. As time passes, the cyber-attack methods are also changing and evolving. Today, hackers are using more advanced and effective cyber-attack methods compared to past years. There are many methods that are impossible to cover all of them in this article. Our main focus will be on social engineering attacks in this article. Social engineering attacks use different approaches to cyber attacking. Unlike trying to explode a victim's social media password etc. using advanced exporting programs, algorithms or techniques, social engineering attacks focus on fooling victims into providing their data to hackers by themselves without using or implementing any password cracking, exploiting techniques etc. We will go over what social media engineering is, type of social engineering methods, what countermeasures can be used to protect from social engineering and more in this article. © 2023 IEEE.

Multimodal fusion, leveraging data like vision and language, is rapidly gaining traction. This enriched data representation improves performance across various tasks. Existing methods for out-of-distribution (OOD) detection, a critical area where ai models encounter unseen data in real-world scenarios, rely heavily on whole-image features. These image-level features can include irrelevant information that hinders the detection of OOD samples, ultimately limiting overall performance. In this paper, we propose TagOOD, a novel approach for OOD detection that leverages vision language representations to achieve label-free object feature decoupling from whole images. This decomposition enables a more focused analysis of object semantics, enhancing OOD detection performance. Subsequently, TagOOD trains a lightweight network on the extracted object features to learn representative class centers. These centers capture the central tendencies of IND object classes, minimizing the influence of irrelevant image features during OOD detection. Finally, our approach efficiently detects OOD samples by calculating distance-based metrics as OOD scores between learned centers and test samples. We conduct extensive experiments to evaluate TagOOD on several benchmark datasets and demonstrate its superior performance compared to existing OOD detection methods. This work presents a novel perspective for further exploration of multimodal information utilization in OOD detection, with potential applications across various tasks. Waste disposal into water bodies is a serious concern for environmental engineers, often resulting in urban flooding, soil degradation in agricultural areas, and freshwater pollution. Additionally, trash accumulation in water bodies threatens ma-rine life by introducing contaminants through storm drains, rivers, and other channels. Furthermore, the unique character-istics of underwater environments, including high noise levels, low visibility, and color variation, pose challenges for trash detection. Thus, addressing this issue is crucial for environmental sustainability. The work focuses on both floating and submerged trash in water bodies. Typically, the detection of trash on water bodies is impacted by environmental variability, diverse appearance, and background clutter. These conditions also make usual object detection techniques less effective. Deep learning methods have shown promise in handling challenging visual tasks, therefore researchers have turned to them to get over these challenges. In this work, we focus on applying different versions of YOLO to the problem of water trash detection. To assess these models' performance, we use four different datasets: Trash Flow rate Dataset, DeepTrash, FloW, and TrashICRA. Each dataset represents various trash types under different conditions such as underwater trash and floating trash. Our study attempts to identify the best method suitable for the detection of aquatic waste. Our results highlight the effectiveness of YOLO variants in identifying the presence of trash in water ecosystems. By leveraging Grad-CAM we gain insights into the interpretability and transparency of deep learning models thus enabling Explainable ai. This approach will also contribute to the understanding and trustworthiness of artificial systems deployed for trash detection applications by providing a transparent view of decision making process of deep learning models. © 2024 IEEE.

This article presents a decentralized fusion-based ego velocity estimation framework utilizing multiple Frequency-Modulated Continuous-Wave (FMCW) radar sensors and an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). This method relies on the collaborative exchange of information among radar sensors, employing a decentralized estimation approach. This approach enhances system robustness and incorporates a unique and effective noise reduction technique to diagnose and eliminate undesirable measurements. Traditional robotics missions, relying on visual data, often face challenges, particularly in scenarios where Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals are either not accessible or unreliable and when visibility is hindered by factors such as darkness, direct sunlight, fog, or smoke. The proposed framework holds immense potential for enhancing the precision of navigation systems in autonomous vehicles and advanced driver assistance systems, particularly in challenging conditions like adverse weather and complex urban environments. Comparative analysis against traditional centralized fusion methods in experimental studies reveals sub-stantial enhancements in accuracy and reliability, highlighting the potential of decentralized fusion. © 2023 IEEE.

Potholes are a major cause of road accidents. In smart cities, developing a system that will help in detecting the potholes in real-time while warning the motorist before reaching that location is very important. Lightweight EfficientDet family models were proposed in the literature to detect potholes in real-time. The work is divided into two parts, first a mobile application was developed using these trained models and it can efficiently detect the potholes. Also, in the second part, a blockchain was proposed to keep a record of the location of the pothole in real-time so that it can be updated on the network. The blockchain serves as a security mechanism so that the potholes coordinates can be altered and become up to date. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Frequency selective surface (FSS) was first created by G. Marconi and C. S. Franklin in 1919 and is known as the "Reflector for Wireless Telegraph and Telephone,"making a significant contribution to our way of life. In terms of the 1960s, it is impossible to overlook the success attained with the employment of regularly selective surfaces in military intelligence units. These structures, which were occasionally applied to land, air, and sea platforms, displayed low pass, high pass, band pass, or band stop characteristics for particular frequencies and served as electromagnetic filters. Many accomplishments have been made, particularly with platforms that are invisible to target detection systems. The geometry and arrangement of the unit cell in these structures, which are successfully used in many fields such as wireless communication systems, radars, and microwaves, allows for the reflection or transmission of the incoming electromagnetic wave. This is made possible by the advancement of technology. High-speed internet connectivity is possible using millimeter wave, a frequency spectrum between 30 GHz and 300 GHz. Its significance has grown in the fields of radio astronomy, radar, remote sensing, and wireless communications. © 2023 IEEE.

The Janus Problem is a common issue in SDS-based text-to-3D methods. Due to view encoding approach and 2D diffusion prior guidance, the 3D representation model tends to learn content with higher certainty from each perspective, leading to view inconsistency. In this work, we first model and analyze the problem, visualizing the specific causes of the Janus Problem, which are associated with discrete view encoding and shared priors in 2D lifting. Based on this, we further propose the LCGen method, which guides text-to-3D to obtain different priors with different certainty from various viewpoints, aiding in view-consistent generation. Experiments have proven that our LCGen method can be directly applied to different SDS-based text-to-3D methods, alleviating the Janus Problem without introducing additional information, increasing excessive training burden, or compromising the generation effect. Mobile edge computing (MEC) and blockchain technology are two rapidly evolving areas in computer science that have the potential to significantly impact the design and operation of distributed systems. MEC involves the deployment of computing resources and services at the edge of the network, closer to the end users, enabling lowlatency, high-bandwidth applications such as augmented reality and machine learning. Blockchain technology, on the other hand, is a distributed database that allows for secure, transparent, and immutable record-keeping, with potential applications in a wide range of industries. In this project, we explore the integration of MEC and blockchain technology for the management of distributed computing resources at the edge of the network. We review the state of the art in these two areas, including existing projects and prototypes, and describe our materials and method for evaluating their potential for integration. Our results show that the combination of MEC and blockchain has the potential to enable new applications and services that require both low latency and secure, decentralized data management. We conclude by summarizing the main contributions of our work and discussing future directions for research in this area. Our findings have implications for the design and operation of distributed systems, and have the potential to enable new applications and services in a wide range of industries. © 2023 IEEE.

Globally, 210 nations have been affected by the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), which has been classified as a pandemic. The modern health system, as well as the economic, educational, and social sides of society, have all been severely impacted. While the rate of transmission keeps increasing, several cooperative strategies between stakeholders to create cutting-edge methods of screening and detecting COVID-19 instances among people at a comparable rate have been noticed. Also, the importance of computational models connected to the technologies of the fourth industrial revolution in accomplishing the desired feat has been emphasized. Unfortunately, there is a gap in the precision of COVID-19 case detection, prediction, and contact tracking. For patients with COVID-19 in isolation units, teleultrasound (TUS), particularly with the support of fifth generation (5G) wireless transmission technology, can offer rapid monitoring, quick clinical progress assessment, and assistance with guiding interventional procedures. Also, it helps conserve medical resources like equipment and supplies while lowering the risk of infection among medical personnel. The review of computer models presented in this work can be used to improve the effectiveness of COVID-19 pandemic case detection and prediction. We concentrate on adoptable big data, ai, and nature-inspired computing solutions for the current pandemic. According to the review, models inspired by nature have shown strong performance in feature selection for medical problems. In pandemic-related cases like COVID-19, contact tracing using big data analytics should also be investigated. © 2023 IEEE.

In this report, we explore the key challenges and threats facing network security in wired and wireless environments, as well as the technologies and best practices for addressing these challenges.
