Graph-theoretic concepts are useful in studying various uses in several fields like mechanical & electrical engineering, specifically multi-physics systems. A core aim of the present study is to run an outline of the uses of graph-theoretical ideas in the modeling & investigation of systems in numerous areas. Graph theory (GT) is used in gear train analysis synthesis for decades, & this was an effective & organic modelling tactic in designing gear transmission. The graph-based technique for kinematic & static power examination, power stream, & mechanical proficiency calculation is additionally introduced. The paper additionally features an overall methodology for taking care of designing issues by changing them to issues in other designing areas, via broad discrete numerical models known as GRs. Design synthesis is the central point of interest in the mechanically applied plan to create the plan up-&-comers that meet the plan prerequisites. This paper reviews a novel & calculable synthesis approach of components dependent on GT. It is likewise settled unambiguously the connection between linear graphs & physical systems. Among the continuum of mechanical framework models we can recognize labelling graphs, which can be utilized for detailing & formalizing mechanical assignments. Mechanically coupled frameworks are successfully displayed utilizing hybrid graphs which consolidate attributes of polar & flow graphs & are unrivalled as far as algorithmic methodology. KAGRA, the underground and cryogenic gravitational-wave detector, was operated for its solo observation from February 25 to March 10, 2020, and its first joint observation with the GEO 600 detector from April 7 to April 21, 2020 (O3GK). This study presents an overview of the input optics systems of the KAGRA detector, which consist of various optical systems, such as a laser source, its intensity and frequency stabilization systems, modulators, a Faraday isolator, mode-matching telescopes, and a high-power beam dump. These optics were successfully delivered to the KAGRA interferometer and operated stably during the observations. The laser frequency noise was observed to limit the detector sensitivity above a few kilohertz, whereas the laser intensity did not significantly limit the detector sensitivity.

One of the major contributions of social manufacturing is in the realm of sustainability. The apparel industry is a good example to assess contribution of social manufacturing to improve sustainability in practice. Value chains in the apparel industry are faced with various challenges regarding sustainability issues. Apparel companies pay higher attention to economic sustainability issues, and environmental and social sustainability issues of the apparel industry are often underrated. We realize that the apparel brand owners have the highest impact on improving the sustainability of the apparel industry. Thus, we design a collaborative business model empowered with social manufacturing to join the forces among the brand owners for improving sustainability of the apparel industry throughout the value chain. We chose a case study of shifting from conventional screen-printing to more environmentally sustainable digital textile printing. We suggest that this shift can be accelerated if the brand owners join their forces together to shift from conventional printing to digital printing technology in the apparel industry.

Background: Diabetes is one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide, and affects people regardless of country, age group, or sex. Using the most recent evidentiary and analytical framework from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD), we produced location-specific, age-specific, and sex-specific estimates of diabetes prevalence and burden from 1990 to 2021, the proportion of type 1 and type 2 diabetes in 2021, the proportion of the type 2 diabetes burden attributable to selected risk factors, and projections of diabetes prevalence through 2050. Methods: Estimates of diabetes prevalence and burden were computed in 204 countries and territories, across 25 age groups, for males and females separately and combined;these estimates comprised lost years of healthy life, measured in disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs;defined as the sum of years of life lost [YLLs] and years lived with disability [YLDs]). We used the Cause of Death Ensemble model (CODEm) approach to estimate deaths due to diabetes, incorporating 25 666 location-years of data from vital registration and verbal autopsy reports in separate total (including both type 1 and type 2 diabetes) and type-specific models. Other forms of diabetes, including gestational and monogenic diabetes, were not explicitly modelled. Total and type 1 diabetes prevalence was estimated by use of a Bayesian meta-regression modelling tool, DisMod-MR 2.1, to analyse 1527 location-years of data from the scientific literature, survey microdata, and insurance claims;type 2 diabetes estimates were computed by subtracting type 1 diabetes from total estimates. Mortality and prevalence estimates, along with standard life expectancy and disability weights, were used to calculate YLLs, YLDs, and DALYs. Electrochemical exfoliation of graphite has attracted much attention as a practical mass production of two-dimensional graphene-like materials. There is an increasing desire to find new and improved methods to create unique exfoliated products with excellent functionality. We used aqueous ammonium hydrogen carbonate solution as a new electrolyte for anodic oxidative exfoliation of graphite. The exfoliated product has a porous two-dimensional structure, and it can be dispersed in water for over five years. The oxidized and defected porous surface serves as an ideal support for molecular metal complexes, effectively functioning as heterogeneous electrocatalysts for hydrogen production. © 2024 The Authors

A class of complex breather and soliton solutions to both KdV and mKdV equations are identified with a Pöschl-Teller type\(\mathscr{P}\mathscr{T}\)-symmetric potential. However, these solutions represent only the unbroken-\(\mathscr{P}\mathscr{T}\)phase owing to their isospectrality to an infinite potential well in the complex plane having real spectra. To obtain the broken-\(\mathscr{P}\mathscr{T}\)phase, an extension of the potential satisfying the\(sl\left( 2,\mathbb {R}\right)\)potential algebra is mandatory that additionally supports non-trivial zero-width resonances.

However, on-the-fly calculations of these waveforms have not yet overcome the high dimensionality of the parameter space. To confront this challenge, we present a user-ready EMRI waveform model for generic (eccentric and inclined) orbits in Kerr spacetime, using an analytical self-force approach. Our model accurately covers all EMRIs with arbitrary inclination and black hole spin, up to modest eccentricity (≲0.3) and separation (≳2–10 M from the last stable orbit). In that regime, our waveforms are accurate at the leading “adiabatic” order, and they approximately capture transient self-force resonances that significantly impact the gravitational wave phase. The model fills an urgent need for extensive waveforms in ongoing data-analysis studies, and its individual components will continue to be useful in future science-adequate waveforms.

The cerium-doped Tl 2 LaCl 5 (TLC: Ce 3+ ) scintillator has emerged as a highly promising material for radiation detection applications such as positron emission tomography (PET), owing to its high effective atomic number (Z eff ) density and excellent scintillation properties. In this study, we grew a large-sized TLC crystal with a diameter of approximately 1 inch; however, the resulting crystal exhibited some cracks. Comprehensive characterization reveals stable light outputs and energy resolutions across different crystal sizes with only a negligible variation observed in large size crystals. In addition, faster decay and rise times are observed with higher cerium concentrations, achieving a significant decay time reduction to 31 ns with 20 % Ce doping, comparable with commercial scintillators such as LaBr 3 : Ce 3+ . These findings underscore the potential of TLC: Ce 3+ as a scalable and high-performance scintillator, suitable for advanced time-of-flight PET applications, despite the challenge posed by its hygroscopic nature for large-scale manufacturing.

JSNS2 (J-PARC Sterile Neutrino Search at J-PARC Spallation Neutron Source) is an experiment that searches for sterile neutrinos via the observation of ν¯µ → ν¯e appearance oscillations using muon decay-at-rest neutrinos. The JSNS2 experiment performed data taking from 2021. In this manuscript, a study of the accidental background is presented. The rate of the accidental background is (9.29±0.39) × 10−8 / spill with 0.75 MW beam power and comparable to the expected number of signal events. Copyright © 2023, The Authors.
