Investigating spatio-temporal characteristics and influencing factors for green energy consumption in China

The green transformation of energy consumption is beneficial for promoting green development in *** study constructed a green energy consumption evaluation index system and measured the green energy consumption levels in 30 provinces of China from 2000 to 2019 using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation *** study further employed the spatial Durbin model to examine influencing factors and spillover effects of green energy *** results showed that,temporally,China’s green energy consumption levels had a fluctuating upward ***,spatially,the overall levels of green energy consumption in China showed apparent characteristics of“high in the west and low in the east”.In terms of influencing factors,environmental regulations played an important role in promoting green energy consumption in the region,while economic development,opening up,and industrial structure had considerably inhibiting ***,economic development,opening up,and industrial structure of neighboring regions showed marked positive spillover effects,while urbanization level and technological innovation showed substantial negative spillover *** regional heterogeneity test results showed that environmental regulation and industrial structure rationalization were the important factors for promoting green energy consumption in the eastern region,environmental regulation played an important driving role in the central region,and opening to the outside world and technological innovation helped improve the level of green energy consumption in the western region.

The technique of generating fonts with few-shot learning has become a popular research topic. The goal of this technique is to transform the source-to-target domain by using a small number of sample images to generate characters for new fonts. However, current research is limited by model frameworks and migration algorithms, which pose challenges for maintaining content integrity and stroke-level style consistency when generating Chinese characters. This paper proposes ResFFont, a reversible network-based model that uses a unique reversible framework and Global and Local Feature Fusion Module (GaLSFM) to ensure complete delivery of content information and stroke-level style consistency. The experimental results confirm the effectiveness and superiority of the ResFFont model, providing a new solution to the font generation problem. © 2024 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Speech-driven gesture generation is an emerging field within virtual human creation. However, a significant challenge lies in accurately determining and processing the multitude of input features (such as acoustic, semantic, emotional, personality, and even subtle unknown features). Traditional approaches, reliant on various explicit feature inputs and complex multimodal processing, constrain the expressiveness of resulting gestures and limit their applicability. To address these challenges, we present Persona-Gestor, a novel end-to-end generative model designed to generate highly personalized 3D full-body gestures solely relying on raw speech audio. The model combines a fuzzy feature extractor and a non-autoregressive Adaptive Layer Normalization (AdaLN) transformer diffusion architecture. The fuzzy feature extractor harnesses a fuzzy inference strategy that automatically infers implicit, continuous fuzzy features. These fuzzy features, represented as a unified latent feature, are fed into the AdaLN transformer. The AdaLN transformer introduces a conditional mechanism that applies a uniform function across all tokens, thereby effectively modeling the correlation between the fuzzy features and the gesture sequence. This module ensures a high level of gesture-speech synchronization while preserving naturalness. Finally, we employ the diffusion model to train and infer various gestures. Extensive subjective and objective evaluations on the Trinity, ZEGGS, and BEAT datasets confirm our model’s superior performance to the current state-of-the-art approaches. Persona-Gestor improves the system’s usability and generalization capabilities, setting a new benchmark in speech-driven gesture synthesis and broadening the horizon for virtual human technology. The worldwide prevalence of mental health diseases is alarming. 792 million individuals have a mental disorder such as anxiety or depression. Treatment varies among the types of illness. They can be expensive and, in order to be effective, must address a combination of psychotherapy and medications. The drugs used for treating symptoms present a risk of negative side effects. Studies have shown the benefits of other co-Therapies such as physical exercise. In this case, the ability to simulate reality can strongly increase the introduction of other psychological therapies and treatment results can be improved through new immersive experiences. Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy has demonstrated its effectiveness by allowing patients to gradually face fearful stimuli or stressful situations. Recent studies showed that the use of Virtual Reality is effective and safe for mental health. Particularly, in the scenario of how Virtual Reality simulation could increase empathy and behaviour change. This article presents a preliminary study of the REVIDA project: It aims to investigate through Benchmarking and SWOT Analysis the possible integration of Virtual Reality in mental illness monitoring in Portugal. Results show that there exist several new opportunities for using Virtual Reality technology in mental health and wellbeing. © 2023 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

Using wearable devices and WEB3.0 to make doctor-patient interaction smarter. The aging of the population and COVID-19 have placed a tremendous workload on the medical field. Traditional monitoring has been centralized, with healthcare professionals providing face-to-face care to all patients. This is where blockchain is utilized, where users themselves have data and monitor each other. Mutual monitoring of medical information on the blockchain creates a mutually supportive relationship where users themselves monitor each other. In this demonstration experiment, the system was introduced to six elderly people. This decentralized system in which users themselves monitor each other is called the Web3 type. The Web type is a technology that is expected to break through the current concentration of data in overseas digital industries and leave digital data resources in Japan. This research is unique in that it combines blockchain technology, which is at the core of this technology, with medical information. A mutual assistance system was constructed to visualize and mutually monitor their exercise habits using wearable terminals. As a result, the exercise habits of all participants improved, and unique information was obtained from the questionnaire survey. © 2023 IEEE.

Bidirectional state transfer between superconducting and microwave-photon qubits by single reflection

The number of superconducting qubits contained in a single quantum processor is increasing steadily. However, to realize a truly useful quantum computer, it is inevitable to increase the number of qubits much further by distributing quantum information among distant processors using flying qubits. A key element towards this goal is a deterministic quantum interaction between superconducting-atom and propagating microwave-photon qubits. Here, we confirm the bidirectional state transfer between them, which completes by simply reflecting the photon at the atom. The averaged fidelity of the photon-to-atom (atom-to-photon) state transfer reaches 0.826 (0.801), limited mainly by the lifetime of the atom qubit. The present technology would be useful for future distributed quantum computation with superconducting qubits.

The direct alkylation of benzene with alkanes is an effective method for alkylbenzene *** group previously discovered that a mixture of supported Pd nanoparticles and solid acids effectively promoted the alkylation of benzene with ***,the alkylation of toluene with n-heptane was catalyzed by physical mixture of H-mordenite and Pd nanoparticles supported on hydrotalcite to afford the corresponding C7 alkylation product with 87%selectivity and 14%toluene *** reaction slightly proceeded in the absence of Pd nanoparticles or H-mordenite,indicating cooperative catalysis by the two different solid ***,the high stability of the Pd nanoparticles on hydrotalcite was confirmed via reuse experiments and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)*** catalyst mixture was reused at least three times without any loss of product yield,and after three reuses,TEM analysis revealed that the size of the Pd nanoparticles following the initial catalytic reaction was similar to that of the *** transmission electron microscopy with energy dispersive spectroscopy(STEM-EDS)analysis of the recovered catalyst mixture revealed the preservation of Pd nanoparticles on the hydrotalcite surface,as well as the close positioning of the two different catalyst particles,thus suggesting interparticle hydrogen *** structure of the solid acid strongly affected the alkylation product *** example,H-mordenite showed high selectivity for the n-heptane alkylation product with a C7 alkyl chain,whereas the selectivity changed with other *** cooperative catalytic system can be applied to the alkylation of other substituted benzenes,such as xylenes and phenols,with good selectivity toward the desired alkylation product.

This study presents a robustness optimization method for rapid prototyping(RP)of functional artifacts based on visualized computing digital twins(VCDT).A generalized multiobjective robustness optimization model for RP of scheme design prototype was first built,where thermal,structural,and multidisciplinary knowledge could be integrated for *** implement visualized computing,the membership function of fuzzy decision-making was optimized using a genetic *** thermodynamic,structural statics,and flow field analyses were conducted,especially for glass fiber composite materials,which have the characteristics of high strength,corrosion resistance,temperature resistance,dimensional stability,and electrical *** electrothermal experiment was performed by measuring the temperature and changes in temperature during *** thermographs were obtained using thermal field measurements to determine the temperature distribution.A numerical analysis of a lightweight ribbed ergonomic artifact is presented to illustrate the ***,manufacturability was verified based on a thermal-solid coupled finite element *** physical experiment and practice proved that the proposed VCDT provided a robust design paradigm for a layered RP between the steady balance of electrothermal regulation and manufacturing efficacy under hybrid uncertainties.

This study aims to clarify how functional network hubs change during hierarchical visual processing in the human brain through the estimation of brain states from features extracted using a convolutional neural network (CNN), a hierarchical model of image processing. We used representational similarity analysis for brain states predicted through encoding models based on feature representations at each layer of the CNN, and applied the PageRank algorithm to matrices converted from the generated representational dissimilarity matrices to capture the hub characteristics of brain region-related systems. This succeeded in capturing changes in the hubness of interregional brain coordination during hierarchical information processing in the human cerebral cortex in visual processing. Specifically, we found that the hubness of the occipital visual cortex increased in the early phase of visual processing, and that the hubness of the prefrontal cortex and temporal lobe increased in the late phase of visual processing. From the above, we found that our proposed method allows us to capture hierarchical changes in the hubness of interregional coordination.
