Cross-network node classification aims to train a classifier for an unlabeled target network using a source network with rich labels. In applications, the degree of nodes mostly conforms to the long-tail distribution, i.e., most nodes in the network are tail nodes with sparse neighborhoods. The established methods focus on either the discrepancy cross network or the long tail in a single network. As for the cross-network node classification under long tail, the coexistence of sparsity of tail nodes and the discrepancy cross-network challenges existing methods for long tail or methods for the cross-network node classification. To this end, a multicomponent similarity graphs for cross-network node classification (MS-CNC) is proposed in this article. Specifically, in order to address the sparsity of the tail nodes, multiple component similarity graphs, including attribute and structure similarity graphs, are constructed for each network to enrich the neighborhoods of the tail nodes and alleviate the long-tail phenomenon. Then, multiple representations are learned from the multiple similarity graphs separately. Based on the multicomponent representations, a two-level adversarial model is designed to address the distribution difference across networks. One level is used to learn the invariant representations cross network in view of structure and attribute components separately, and the other level is used to learn the invariant representations in view of the fused structure and attribute graphs. Extensive experimental results show that the MS-CNC outperforms the state-of-the-art methods. Impact Statement-Node classification is an important task in graph mining. In global data analysis, the central server needs the global statistic of the user data stored in local clients. In such cases, an Honest-but-Curious central server might put user privacy at risk in trying to collect individual statistics of each user. In response, the secure aggregation provides a solution for calculating global statistics without revealing users' privacy data. However, existing secure aggregation protocols only focus on the data in the form of vectors or common sets, which limits their application scope. We formalize a general problem - key-value set secure aggregation - that not only includes secure vector aggregation and private set union but also supports more applications. To address the proposed problem, we devise our solution (called the KVSAgg framework) that promises satisfactory performance in security, efficiency, and accuracy. Our key technique is a homomorphic transform algorithm (called HyperIBLT) that is not only capable of bidirectionally transforming data between key-value sets and vectors, but also able to transform sum operation of sets to addition of vectors. We implement KVSAgg on both CPU and GPU platforms and perform the evaluation on three use cases including federated learning, distributed data counting, and finding global hot items. Compared with our baselines, KVSAgg simultaneously achieves the best security, efficiency higher by orders of magnitude, and zero-error in nearly all cases. A new mobile attention economy has emerged with the explosive growth of short-video apps such as TikTok. In this internet market, three types of agents interact with each other: the platform, influencers, and advertisers. A short-video platform encourages its influencers to attract users by creating appealing content through short-form videos and allows advertisers to display their ads in short-form videos. There are two options for the advertisers: one is to bid for platform advert slots in a similar way to search engine auctions;the other is to pay an influencer to make engaging short videos and promote them through the influencer's channel. The second option will generate a higher conversion ratio if advertisers choose the right influencers whose followers match their target market. Although displaying influencer ads will generate less revenue, it is more engaging than platform ads, which is better for maintaining user traffic. Therefore, it is crucial for a platform to balance these factors by establishing a sustainable business agreement with its influencers and advertisers. In this paper, we develop a two-stage solution for a platform to maximize short-term revenue and long-term user traffic maintenance. In the first stage, we estimate the impact of user traffic generated by displaying influencer ads and characterize the user traffic the platform should allocate to influencers for overall revenue maximization. In the second stage, we devise an optimal (1 - 1/e)-competitive algorithm for ad slot allocation. To complement this analysis, we examine the ratio of the revenue generated by our online algorithm to the optimal offline revenue. Our simulation results show that this ratio is 0.94 on average, which is much higher than (1 - 1/e) and outperforms four baseline algorithms. © 2022 International Foundation for Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (***). Non-Volatile Main Memories (NVMMs) have recently emerged as a promising technology for future memory systems. Generally, NVMMs have many desirable properties such as high density, byte-addressability, non-volatility, low cost, and energy efficiency, at the expense of high write latency, high write power consumption, and limited write endurance. NVMMs have become a competitive alternative of Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM), and will fundamentally change the landscape of memory systems. They bring many research opportunities as well as challenges on system architectural designs, memory management in operating systems (OSes), and programming models for hybrid memory systems. In this article, we revisit the landscape of emerging NVMM technologies, and then survey the state-of-the-art studies of NVMM technologies. We classify those studies with a taxonomy according to different dimensions such as memory architectures, data persistence, performance improvement, energy saving, and wear leveling. Second, to demonstrate the best practices in building NVMM systems, we introduce our recent work of hybrid memory system designs from the dimensions of architectures, systems, and applications. At last, we present our vision of future research directions of NVMMs and shed some light on design challenges and opportunities.

Along with the integrated and miniaturized development of advanced electronic devices,phase change materials(PCMs)simultaneously with efficient thermal management and high electromag-netic interference(EMI)shielding effectiveness(SE)are ungently ***,the shape-stabilized MXene/Ni-platted melamine sponge/Regenerated cellulose/Graphene nanoplate/Polyethylene glycol(MX/Ni@MS/RCG/PEG)composite PCMs comprising hierarchical Ni@MS/RCG and MXene film were fabricated via a facile encapsulation *** Ni@MS/RCG hybrid aerogel was prepared by electroless plating and sol-gel methods,and MXene film was obtained using vacuum-assisted filtra-tion *** synergistic effect of conductive Ni@MS/RCG networks and tight MXene film endows MX/Ni@MS/RCG/PEG composite PCMs with good shape stability,high cyclic reliability,large latent heat of phase change(154.3 J g^(–1)),excellent thermal conductivity(TC,0.47 W m^(–1)K^(–1))and favorable EMI shield-ing performance(32.7 dB).The TC of acceptable 0.47 W m^(–1)K^(–1)is observed for MX/Ni@MS/RCG-5/PEG at a rather low GNP content of merely 0.39 wt%.In addition,the temperature variation of MX/Ni@MS/RCG-5/PEG is a lot faster than that of pure PEG in the heating/cooling process,revealing the remarkable energy storage and release efficiency for the composite *** investigation has taken an important step to-wards shape-stabilized composite PCMs with both effective thermal management and high EMI SE for promising applications in electronic packaging and advanced energy.

Speech recognition is becoming prevalent in daily life. However, due to the similar semantic context of the entities and the overlap of Chinese pronunciation, the pronoun homophone, especially "他/她/它 (he/she/it)", (their pronunciation is "Tā") is usually recognized incorrectly. It poses a challenge to automatically correct them during the post-processing of Chinese speech recognition. In this paper, we propose three models to address the common confusion issues in this domain, tailored to various application scenarios. We implement the language model, the LSTM model with semantic features, and the rule-based assisted Ngram model, enabling our models to adapt to a wide range of requirements, from high-precision to low-resource offline devices. The extensive experiments show that our models achieve the highest recognition rate for "Tā" correction with improvements from 70% in the popular voice input methods up to 90%. Further ablation analysis underscores the effectiveness of our models in enhancing recognition accuracy. Therefore, our models improve the overall experience of Chinese speech recognition of "Tā" and reduce the burden of manual transcription corrections. © 2024 ELRA Language Resource Association: CC BY-NC 4.0.

The task of image-guided point cloud completion aims to leverage information from images to address uncertainty issues in the completion inference of point clouds. The key challenge in this setting lies in how to effectively combine features extracted from both modalities. Due to the large domain discrepancy between the image and point cloud, existing methods that use cross-modal attention to directly fuse features have increased attention on redundant information and noise from different modalities, resulting in poor feature fusion performance. Hence, by introducing multi-modal fusion transformers that use bottleneck tokens, we enabled point cloud feature to learn image feature through information bridges, leading to improved point cloud completion performance. Our method can not only benefit from RGB images, but also from sketches with less feature information but more emphasis on edge information. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our proposed method enhances the quality of point cloud completion and outperforms other state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Graph neural networks (GNNs) have exhibited exceptional efficacy in a diverse array of applications. However, the sheer size of large-scale graphs presents a significant challenge to real-time inference with GNNs. Although existing Scalable GNNs leverage linear propagation to preprocess the features and accelerate the training and inference procedure, these methods still suffer from scalability issues when making inferences on unseen nodes, as the feature preprocessing requires the graph to be known and fixed. To further accelerate Scalable GNNs inference in this inductive setting, we propose an online propagation framework and two novel node-adaptive propagation methods that can customize the optimal propagation depth for each node based on its topological information and thereby avoid redundant feature propagation. The trade-off between accuracy and latency can be flexibly managed through simple hyper-parameters to accommodate various latency constraints. Moreover, to compensate for the inference accuracy loss caused by the potential early termination of propagation, we further propose Inception Distillation to exploit the multi-scale receptive field information within graphs. The rigorous and comprehensive experimental study on public datasets with varying scales and characteristics demonstrates that the proposed inference acceleration framework outperforms existing state-of-the-art graph inference acceleration methods in terms of accuracy and efficiency. Particularly, the superiority of our approach is notable on datasets with larger scales, yielding a 75× inference speedup on the largest Ogbn-products dataset. © 2024 IEEE.

IoT-U: Cellular internet-of-things networks over unlicensed spectrum

In this paper, we consider an uplink cellular Internet-of-Things (IoT) network, where a cellular user (CU) can serve as the mobile data aggregator for a cluster of IoT devices. To be specific, the IoT devices can either transmit the sensory data to the base station (BS) directly by cellular communications, or first aggregate the data to a CU through Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications before the CU uploads the aggregated data to the BS. To support massive connections, the IoT devices can leverage the unlicensed spectrum for M2M communications, referred to as IoT Unlicensed (IoT-U). Aiming to maximize the number of scheduled IoT devices and meanwhile associate each IoT devices with the right CU or BS with the minimum transmit power, we first introduce a single-stage formulation that captures these objectives simultaneously. To tackle the NP-hard problem efficiently, we decouple the problem into two subproblems, which are solved by successive linear programming and convex optimization techniques, respectively.
