Epilepsy is a neurological disorder affecting millions worldwide. Though many Anti-epileptic drugs (AEDs) are available for treatment, almost 30% of patients with Epilepsy (PWE) are resistant to these AEDs. In this paper, we applied Machine learning (ML) techniques for predicting potential drug targets for development of new AEDs. For this particular problem statement, some of the widely used classification algorithms have been applied. Features related to physico-chemical, structural properties, and post-translational modifications are considered for training the ML models. These models have been trained using three different datasets i.e. epilepsy-associated proteins known from literature, all the reviewed human proteins, and known AED targets. Applying different approaches, an accuracy of more than 80% is achieved, and even the F1 score is found to be significant. We have identified few novel druggable proteins that could act as potential targets for patients with refractory seizures.

This paper present modeling aspects for 4H-SiC Schottky diode using drift diffusion model. Drift diffusion model consists of the current continuity equations for electrons and holes, Poissonpsilas equation and the equations for electron and hole currents. Using this model physical surface trait, state of art of device has been extracted to understand the current condition of 4H-SiC Schottky barrier diode. In Schottky diodes current transport takes place by three mechanisms, diffusion of carriers from the semiconductor into the metal, thermionic emission of carriers across the Schottky barrier and quantum-mechanical tunneling through the barrier. For these three mechanisms current calculation using drift diffusion model has been done.

Children online safety is a global issue and attaining international attention to address it. Often, children are vulnerable to online threats. Aim of this paper is to review children online safety issues and identify existing international efforts for reducing online risks. In this regard, efforts from available international bodies for providing online safety to children are reviewed and reported. To overcome online risks, understanding the behaviour of online ecosystem and coping after facing risks are most important. The ecosystem involves different stakeholders such as service providers, physical network, online users being connected, social media sites and tools and technology. Elimination of online risks is difficult but the intensity of risks can be reduced. Copyright © 2020 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Most digital cameras use color filter arrays of different patterns to capture color image. The output of the color filter array is a sampled version of the original color image. Demosaicing algorithms are used to reconstruct the original color image from this sampled version. Medical image analysis is increasing day by day. The amount of data to be saved is also on the increase. Standard compression techniques like JPEG if used may cause loss of diagnostic data which cannot be tolerated. So if a proper demosaicing algorithm can be found such that there is not much loss of data in reconstruction then the images can be saved in raw format and color image can be reconstructed using this algorithm, when needed, leading to a great amount of compression. This paper studies and compares different existing demosaicing algorithms to find a suitable algorithm for this application.

Manually analyzing or summarizing this data is impractical, the reason behind this is incredible increment in data in this generation of information and network distribution. Objective of Data mining is to extract the required information, instruction, and pattern from a huge quantity of information and data by the help of multiple tools and techniques. Therefore, it is very essential to select significant techniques to mine the database, because of the several other varieties of data in data base and every data has their individual mining techniques. In this research paper we are going to analyze the consumer behavior, that can help us not only in the retailer market/industry but we can use it in the medical, online shopping etc. Here we are talking about consumer behavior analysis, so we are taking market industry data. Data mining techniques are most conventional and sufficient technique for behavior analysis. Main target of this paper is to recognize behavior of a consumer, his/her psychological condition, consumer's decision making during purchase and then finding how much suitable methods of data mining are applied to enhance the conventional method. Here association rules are deployed to mine out required rules for customer applied in purchased data in retailers shop or organization. After that the required rule can be used for further required filed line online shopping, medical field etc.

In the world of digitization, the growth of big data is raising at large scale with usage of high performance computing. The huge data in English and Hindi is available on internet and social media which need to be extracted or summarized in user required form. In this paper we are presenting Bilingual (Hindi and English) unsupervised automatic text summarization using deep learning. which is an important research area with in Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and data mining, to improve result accuracy, we are using restricted Boltzmann machine to generate a shorter version of original document without losing its important information. In this algorithm we are exploring the features to improve the relevance of sentences in the dataset.

We present a document binarization scheme that is intended at consistently binarizing a range of degraded color document images. The proposed solution makes use of a mean-shift algorithm based segmentation applied at different scales of the image and a contrast enhanced version of the popular Niblack's thresholding method. The solution has been evaluated using standard metrics used in a prominent binarization competition and has also been subject to an end-to-end evaluation by use in an OCR system. The proposed solution was found to perform at par or better than existing state of the art binarization solutions and was found to always be more consistent in performance than the state of the art.

Transformation of raw text is required for computational text analysis using Natural Language Processing methods. Computational text analysis leverage on human brain limitations to automatically index documents for retrieval and topic generation for topic distribution correlations in corpus of voluminous documents. Natural language non-parametric and parametric Topic modeling with Expectancy Maximization and Gibbs sampling render technique to build Machine Learning models for evaluation with log-likelihood, topic coherence and coefficient of determination of held-out document. This research extends the concept of Natural Language Processing to automate analysis of High interaction honeypot system call documents to deduce system resources misuse by malcode during real-time engagement with the user-space applications of the deployed honeypot.

A fault-tolerant approach for detection of singular points in noisy fingerprint images

Singular point detection is one of the most crucial processes in fingerprint recognition systems. Singular points are used for fingerprint classification, matching and alignment. This paper presents a method for reliable detection of singular points, which is largely insensitive to the degradation of fingerprint quality. The approach involves two phases, wherein, first phase detects the singular points, which operates on the quadrant change information. The second phase involves the analysis and extraction of the locations having high probability of the existence of singular points. The second phase uses orientation reliability measure of the filtered fingerprint image. The spurious singular points are detected, and thereby eliminated. This model is tested on selected noisy images from a publicly available (Cross Match Verifier 300 sensor) fingerprint database scanned at 500 dpi. The experimental results show that the approach effectively eliminates the spurious singular points in the noisy images.
