B_(4)C/Al composites are widely utilized as neutron absorbing materials for the storage and transportation of spent nuclear *** order to improve the high-temperature mechanical properties of B_(4)C/Al composites,in-situ nano-Al_(2)O_(3)was introduced utilizing oxide on Al powder *** this study,the Al_(2)O_(3)content was adjusted by utilizing spheroid Al powder with varying diameters,thereby investigating the impact of Al_(2)O_(3)content on the tensile properties of(B_(4)C+Al_(2)O_(3))/Al *** was found that the pinning effect of Al_(2)O_(3)on the grain boundaries could hinder the recovery of dislocations and lead to dislocation accumulation at high *** the result,with the increase in Al_(2)O_(3)content and the decrease in grain size,the high-temperature strength of the composites increased *** finest Al powder used in this investigation had a diameter of 1.4μm,whereas the resultant composite exhibited a maximum strength of 251 MPa at room temperature and 133 MPa at 350℃,surpassing that of traditional B_(4)C/Al composites.

We,for the first time,report the nanoscopic imaging study of anomalous infrared(IR)phonon enhancement of bilayer graphene,originated from the charge imbalance between the top and bottom layers,resulting in the enhancement of E1u mode of bilayer graphene near 0.2 *** modified the multifrequency atomic force microscope platform to combine photo-induced force microscope with electrostatic/Kelvin probe force microscope constituting a novel hybrid nanoscale optical-electrical force imaging *** enables to observe a correlation between the IR response,doping level,and topographic information of the graphene *** the nanoscale spectroscopic image measurements,we demonstrate that the charge imbalance at the graphene interface can be controlled by chemical(doping effect via Redox mechanism)and mechanical(triboelectric effect by the doped cantilever)***,we can also diagnosis the subsurface cracks on the stacked few-layer graphene at nanoscale,by monitoring the strain-induced IR phonon *** approach provides new insights into the development of graphene-based electronic and photonic devices and their potential applications.

Data clustering is a highly studied field of data science and computational intelligence. Population-based algorithms such as particle swarm optimization (PSO) have shown to be effective at data clustering. Set-based particle swarm optimization (SBPSO) is a generic set-based PSO variant that has shown promise in clustering stationary and non-stationary data. In this paper, SBPSO is used to cluster fifteen datasets with diverse characteristics. The clustering ability of SBPSO is compared in depth to the performance of six other tuned clustering algorithms. A sensitivity analysis of the SBPSO control parameters is performed to determine the effect that variation in these control parameters have on swarm diversity and other measures. SBPSO ranked third from among the algorithms evaluated and proved a viable clustering algorithm. A trade-off between swarm diversity and clustering ability was discovered, and the control parameters that control this trade-off were determined. © 2023 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). Dear Editor,Pyruvate dehydrogenase complex(PDHc) is a large multienzyme assembly(Mr = 4–10 million Daltons) consisting of three essential components: pyruvate dehydrogenase(E1p), dihydrolipoyl transacetylase(E2p), and dihydrolipoyl dehydrogenase(E3). These three enzymes perform distinct functions sequentially to catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvate with formation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH) and acetyl-coenzyme A(Patel and Roche, 1990).

The dynamic nature of modern wireless networks, combined with the need for efficient management, has heightened interest in Software-Defined Networking (SDN). This paper presents a simulation framework designed to effectively model SDN in wireless network environments. The framework addresses key challenges in managing heterogeneous networks, offering a versatile platform for the development and evaluation of SDN applications. A key feature of the framework is the integration of a Digital Twin (DT) module within the SDN controller, leveraging the controller's comprehensive view of the network. This integration allows for real-time construction and updating of a virtual representation of the network, enhancing the controller's decision-making capabilities. By predicting future network states through a neural network model, the DT facilitates proactive management strategies, such as routing adjustments and resource reallocation, which are essential for maintaining optimal network performance. The paper details the architectural design and implementation of the framework, including the integration of Mininet, OMNeT++, and the Ryu controller. Our results demonstrate the framework's effectiveness in simulating complex SDN scenarios and providing detailed analyses of network behavior. © 2025 IEEE.

Motor imagery(MI)based Brain-computer interfaces(BCIs)have a wide range of applications in the stroke rehabilitation ***,due to the low signal-to-noise ratio and high cross-subject variation of the electroencephalogram(EEG)signals generated by motor imagery,the classification performance of the existing methods still needs to be improved to meet the need of real *** overcome this problem,we propose a multi-scale spatial-temporal convolutional neural network called *** introduce the contrastive learning into a multi-temporal convolution scale backbone to further improve the robustness and discrimination of embedding *** results of binary classification show that MSCNet outperforms the state-of-theart methods,achieving accuracy improvement of 6.04%,3.98%,and 8.15%on BCIC IV 2a,SMR-BCI,and OpenBMI datasets in subject-dependent manner,*** results show that the contrastive learning method can significantly improve the classification accuracy of motor imagery EEG signals,which provides an important reference for the design of motor imagery classification algorithms.

Recently,an investigation into preventive measures for coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has garnered considerable ***,strategies for the proactive prevention of viral pathogens have also attracted significant interest in the field of wearable devices and electronic textiles research,particularly due to their potential applications in personal protective *** this study,we introduce smart textiles designed with optimized piezoelectric devices that exhibit antifouling performance against microorganisms and actively inactivate *** active-type smart textiles,which incorporate advanced lead zirconate titanate(PZT)ceramics,a stretchable interconnector array,and polymeric fabric,demonstrate effective antifouling capabilities,detaching approximately90%of Escherichia coli and75%of ***,they inactivate viruses,releasing~26.8 ng of N protein from ruptured SARS-CoV-2,using ultrasonic waves within the wearable *** results show that piezoelectric smart textiles significantly reduce the spread of COVID-19 by leveraging the electrical and acoustic properties of PZT ceramics.

The infection of Plasmodium vivax is relatively less virulent than the deathliest Plasmodium falciparum. However, it still can lead to a fatal case and often induces recurring malaria due to dormant parasites in the liver. Thus, the research to study the drug to treat Plasmodium vivax is essential, where the enzyme dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) has recently become a new drug target. However, the drug-enzyme interaction study has only recently been conducted in Plasmodium falciparum (pfDHODH) due to the lack of the 3D structure of enzyme DHODH from Plasmodium vivax that is crucial for the study. Therefore, this study aimed to perform the modelling study of Plasmodium vivax DHODH (PvDHODH) to create a 3D structure as a basis for drug-protein interaction study in upcoming studies. Sequence pvDHODH (Accession: SCO68359.1) was used in homology modelling using Modeller 10.2 with the crystal structure of DHODH from DHODH (Accession: 7KZY) as a template. Overall, the model generated from the homology modelling was considered a good model, and the 3D structure was close to the native state according to several parameters, including DOPE score, GA341 score, QMEAN4 value, 3D-1D score, ERRAT2 score, and ProSA score. Ramachandran plot also revealed that almost all amino acids were distributed in the desirable and allowed area (99.1%), and only 0.9% were in generously allowed regions. Superimposition of the model with the template also indicated that the model has an almost similar structure and amino acids positioning, including in the binding pocket and active site. Therefore, the model can be used for downstream analysis in drug-protein interaction studies. Nevertheless, some improvements can still be performed to upgrade the quality of the model by deleting unaligned residues on the C-terminal and realigning the residues at the doubting site. © 2023 IEEE.
