In the current settings of osteosarcoma research and drug screening,in vitro three-dimensional(3D)models,which overcome the limitations of traditional models,are *** in vitro 3D models,tumor microenvironment simulation,particularly of the mechanical microenvironment,is crucial for estimating the biological effects of a ***,current in vitro osteosarcoma model construction is often limited to a single mechanical signal,which fails to simulate the diversity of osteosarcoma mechanical *** this study,we utilized embedded bioprinting technology and the multiple response properties of calcium ions in soft and hard stiffness systems with osteosarcoma cell biological functions to construct an integrated gradient biomechanical signal-tailored osteosarcoma model(IGBSTOM).We achieved this by printing a fibrinogen bioink containing calcium ions and osteosarcoma tumor spheroids within an extracellular matrix composed of methacryloylated alginate,methacryloylated gelatin,thrombin,and transglutaminase,which is rich in polysaccharides and proteins and exhibits self-healing *** in vitro and in vivo studies showed that the IGBSTOM enhanced tumor stemness,proliferation,and migration,and successfully reproduced the nest-like structure of tumors,providing an in vitro research platform that is more similar to the natural tumor than the existing *** study proposes a novel IGBSTOM construction and provides a new strategy for the clinical understanding of tumor development,drug screening,and exploration of drug resistance and metastasis mechanisms.

The primary aim of this article is to investigate, contrast, and formulate a time series model to predict Bangkok's overall population. In this study, we intend to propose a hybrid model that combines the Autoregressive Moving Integrated Average (ARIMA) model and machine learning techniques, utilizing a Multilayer Perceptron (MLP). Our data source comprises monthly data from 2002 to 2022, totaling 252 data points, obtained from the official registration statistics system of the Registration Administration Office, Department of Provincial Administration. This dataset has been divided into two subsets: the first subset covers the years from 2002 to 2021, encompassing 240 data points, which will be used for constructing predictive models. The second subset consists of the data for the year 2022, comprising 12 data points, which will serve as a means to compare the accuracy of various forecasting methods. The evaluation criteria employed for this purpose are the minimum mean absolute error (MAE), the mean square error (MSE) and the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE). Furthermore, we will utilize the Python programming language to facilitate data analysis. © 2024 IEEE.

Performance prediction for executing graph applications on distributed systems is a prerequisite to improve system performance. Especially for distributed systems optimized by sacrificing the accuracy of results to improve runtime performance, performance prediction can be used to determine accuracy-related system parameters to achieve a tradeoff between the runtime and inaccuracy of results. This article presents an approach that predicts the runtime and inaccuracy of executing graph algorithms on bulk synchronous parallel (BSP)-based systems to optimize system parameters by using an artificial neural network (ANN). The proposed approach samples different scales of subgraphs from the input graph by maintaining that the features of subgraphs are similar to the features of the input graph. Then it executes graph algorithm on each subgraph and extracts their runtime features. An ANN-based performance prediction model is trained off-line based on the extracted features and is used to predict the performance of executing graph algorithm on the complete input graph. We have validated the proposed approach by conducting single-source shortest path, connected component, and PageRank on the BSP-based distributed systems. The experimental results demonstrate that the prediction method can effectively predict the runtime and the inaccuracy with a relative error rate under 14% and under 25%, respectively, compared with the actual performance results. © 2020 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

Telegraph noise caused by frequent switching of the magnetization in small magnetic devices has become a useful resource for probabilistic computing. Conventional theories have been based on a linearization of the fluctuations at the extrema of the magnetic free energy. We show theoretically that the nonlinearities, specifically four-magnon scatterings, reduce the equilibrium fluctuation amplitude of the magnetization as well as the switching frequencies between local minima via the decay of the homogeneous Kittel mode into two spin waves with opposite momenta. Selectively suppressing the effective temperature of the finite-k spin waves or reducing the radius of a thin magnetic disk enhance the switching frequency and improve performance of magnetic tunnel junctions in probabilistic computing applications.

The widespread adoption of cloud storage enables users to remotely access resources through a self-service model. Utilizing pay-per-use storage services provided by cloud service providers (CSPs) requires users to commit financially to their resources. This paper introduces a Secure Cloud Storage (SCS) framework, offering a secure architecture for cloud storage using a consortium blockchain network to address trust issues. This framework substitutes the third-party auditor with peers of a consortium blockchain network, which handles the role of data storage and verification. Storage space is divided into uncommitted and committed segments. Uncommitted storage is used for storing unverified documents, while committed storage is reserved for documents that have been validated through a consensus mechanism. In contrast, committed storage is des-ignated for the storage of committed documents. Documents validated by a consensus threshold of peer nodes are moved from uncommitted to committed storage. The implementation of the SCS framework is conducted using Hyperledger Fabric, a modular blockchain platform optimized for permissioned networks. The security analysis demonstrates that SCS effectively protects cloud storage against attacks, including unauthorized access attacks, data integrity attacks, and malicious server attacks, while maintaining data integrity and auditability. The performance evaluation shows that document upload and retrieval times, block acceptance, execution times, and latency are all improved compared to state-of-the-art cloud storage techniques.

Context: When the epidemic ¯rst broke out, no speci¯c treatment was available for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The urgent need to end this unusual situation has resulted in many attempts to deal with SARS-CoV-2. In addition to several types of vaccinations that have been created, anti-SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) have added a new dimension to preventative and treatment e®orts. This therapy also helps prevent severe symptoms for those at a high risk. Therefore, this is one of the most promising treatments for mild to moderate SARS-CoV-2 cases. However, the availability of anti-SARS-CoV-2 mAb therapy is limited and leads to two main challenges. The ¯rst is the privacy challenge of selecting eligible patients from the distribution hospital networking, which requires data sharing, and the second is the prioritization of all eligible patients amongst the distribution hospitals according to dose availability. To our knowledge, no research combined the federated fundamental approach with multicriteria decision-making methods for the treatment of SARS-COV-2, indicating a research gap. Objective: This paper presents a unique sequence processing methodology that distributes anti-SARS-CoV-2 mAbs to eligible high-risk patients with SARS-CoV-2 based on medical requirements by using a novel federated decision-making distributor. Method: This paper proposes a novel federated decision-making distributor (FDMD) of anti-SARS-CoV-2 mAbs for eligible high-risk patients. FDMD is implemented on augmented data of 49,152 cases of patients with SARS-CoV-2 with mild and moderate symptoms. For proof of concept, three hospitals with 16 patients each are enrolled. The proposed FDMD is constructed from the two sides of claim sequencing: central federated server (CFS) and local machine (LM). History matching is a critical step within the reservoir management process to synchronize the simulation model with the production data. The history-matched model can be used for planning optimum field development and performing optimization and uncertainty quantifications. We present a novel history matching workflow based on a Bayesian framework that accommodates subsurface uncertainties. Our workflow involves three different model resolutions within the Bayesian framework: 1) a coarse low-fidelity model to update the prior range, 2) a fine low-fidelity model to represent the high-fidelity model, and 3) a high-fidelity model to re-construct the real response. The low-fidelity model is constructed by a multivariate polynomial function, while the high-fidelity model is based on the reservoir simulation model. We firstly develop a coarse low-fidelity model using a two-level Design of Experiment (DoE), which aims to provide a better prior. We secondly use Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS) to construct the fine low-fidelity model to be deployed in the Bayesian runs, where we use the Metropolis-Hastings algorithm. Finally, the posterior is fed into the high-fidelity model to evaluate the matching quality. This work demonstrates the importance of including uncertainties in history matching. Bayesian provides a robust framework to allow uncertainty quantification within the reservoir history matching. Under uniform prior, the convergence of the Bayesian is very sensitive to the parameter ranges. When the solution is far from the mean of the parameter ranges, the Bayesian introduces bios and deviates from the observed data. Our results show that updating the prior from the coarse low-fidelity model accelerates the Bayesian convergence and improves the matching convergence. Bayesian requires a huge number of runs to produce an accurate posterior. Running the high-fidelity model multiple times is expensive. Dynamic searchable symmetric encryption (DSSE) enables users to delegate the keyword search over dynamically updated encrypted databases to an honest-but-curious server without losing keyword privacy. This paper studies a new and practical security risk to DSSE, namely, secret key compromise (e.g., a user’s secret key is leaked or stolen), which threatens all the security guarantees offered by existing DSSE schemes. To address this open problem, we introduce the notion of searchable encryption with key-update (SEKU) that provides users with the option of non-interactive key updates. We further define the notion of post-compromise secure with respect to leakage functions to study whether DSSE schemes can still provide data security after the client’s secret key is compromised. We demonstrate that post-compromise security is achievable with a proposed protocol called "Bamboo". Interestingly, the leakage functions of Bamboo satisfy the requirements for both forward and backward security. We conduct a performance evaluation of Bamboo using a real-world dataset and compare its runtime efficiency with the existing forward-and-backward secure DSSE schemes.
