Ketamine is an anesthetic, which when used wrongly would affect judgment and behavior, increasing risks to individual such as unwanted or risky sexual behavior. This study reports the development of an admittance- and capacitance-spectroscopy-based sensor to detect ketamine in solution, such as whiskey, a popular alcoholic drink. The result confirms the proposed method is capable of detecting the presence of ketamine in whiskey, in concentration as low as 6.25 ng/μL, by using admittance and capacitance measured at 6.75 MHz, as well as quantifying the measured admittance (sensitivity: 300 μΩ−1/Log (ng/μL);limit of detection (LOD): 0.16 ng/μL) or capacitance data (sensitivity: 2 nF/Log (ng/μL);LOD: 0.73 ng/μL) at 18 kHz and 7.69 MHz, respectively. © 2023 The Chinese Institute of Engineers.

Blockchain technology has garnered increasing attention from researchers. Because blockchain systems may contain malicious or spatially limited nodes that may delay block verification and reduce block transmission rate, this work proposes a block transmission model by designing and using special clusters. This work proposes the cluster formation and selection mechanisms. Nodes are grouped into clusters in a blockchain, and clusters with high fitness values are chosen to transmit blocks by calculating their trust values and block transmission rates. The proposed method is compared with the peers: Layer-Chain, BlockP2P-EP and RNS. According to experimental findings, the proposed method is superior to its peers regarding the time needed for block synchronization and transmission, block occupation storage ratio, transaction throughput, and block transmission success ratio.

Nanoporous GaN (NP-GaN) embeds sub-nanoscale air gaps (n ≈ 1) that greatly expand refractive-index modulation for ultra-thin distributed Bragg reflectors (DBRs), boost surface area for photoelectrochemical (PEC) reactions, alleviate substrate lattice constraints to enable high-In red light emitting diodes (LEDs), and have even been applied in photovoltaic cells. Yet its use as an optically active medium is scarcely reported, making comprehensive evaluation of its optical and structural properties imperative for broader device integration. Herein, we report the potential of NP-GaN as an optically active medium for device applications by evaluating the optical and structural properties of NP-GaN samples etched for durations ranging from 5 to 15 min. Our results show that the average pore diameter does not increase significantly when the etching duration exceeds 10 min due to pore wall passivation by Ga-related byproducts. Meanwhile, the highest carrier lifetime and the strongest integrated near-band edge (NBE) intensity were observed in the NP-GaN sample etched for 10 min, which was attributed to pore branching. Overall, a 10 min etching duration, resulting in superior optical properties, was optimal for the formation of NP-GaN. With its advantages in optical properties with a higher active surface area compared to bulk thin films, NP-GaN optimization of etching duration provides insight into the realization of various device applications. This is not limited to GaN but extends to other nitrides such as InGaN and AlGaN, broadening the available bandgap range. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

In smart grid systems, the control center formulates strategies and provides services by analyzing electricity consumption data. However, ensuring the privacy and security of user data is a critical concern. While traditional data aggregation schemes can provide a certain level of privacy protection for users, they also impose limitations on the control center's access to fine-grained data. To address these challenges, we propose a privacy-preserving data aggregation scheme supporting data query (PAQ). We designed a multi-level data aggregation mechanism based on Paillier semi-homomorphic encryption to achieve efficient aggregation of user data in the control center. Additionally, a data query mechanism based on electricity consumption intervals is introduced, allowing the control center to query aggregated ciphertexts for different user categories from outsourced data on the cloud server. Security analysis demonstrates that PAQ design effectively solves security issues in data aggregation and query processes. Performance analysis indicates that the proposed scheme outperforms existing solutions in terms of efficiency. © 2024 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

This article presents an integrated current mode configurable analog block(CAB)system for field-programmable analog array(FPAA).The proposed architecture is based on the complementary metal-oxide semiconductor(CMOS)transistor level design where MOSFET transistors operating in the saturation region are *** proposed CAB architecture is designed to implement six of thewidely used current mode operations in analog processing systems:addition,subtraction,integration,multiplication,division,and pass *** functionality of the proposed CAB is demonstrated through these six operations,where each operation is chosen based on the user’s selection in the CAB interface *** architecture of the CAB system proposes an optimized way of designing and integrating only three functional cells with the interface circuitry to achieve the six ***,optimized programming and digital tuning circuitry are implemented in the architecture to control and interface with the functional ***,these designed programming and tuning circuitries play an essential role in optimizing the performance of the proposed *** of the proposed CMOS Transistor Based CAB system is carried out using Tanner EDA Tools in 0.35μm standard CMOS *** design uses a±1.5 V power supply and results in maximum 3 dB bandwidth of 34.9 MHz and an approximate size of 0.0537 *** demonstrates the advantages of the design over the current state-of-the-art designs presented for comparison in this ***,the proposed design has a clear aspect of simplicity,low power consumption,and high bandwidth operation,which makes it a suitable candidate for mobile telecommunications applications.

IGNN-Solver: A Graph Neural Solver for Implicit Graph Neural Networks

Implicit graph neural networks (IGNNs), which exhibit strong expressive power with a single layer, have recently demonstrated remarkable performance in capturing long-range dependencies (LRD) in underlying graphs while effectively mitigating the over-smoothing problem. However, IGNNs rely on computationally expensive fixed-point iterations, which lead to significant speed and scalability limitations, hindering their application to large-scale graphs. To achieve fast fixed-point solving for IGNNs, we propose a novel graph neural solver, IGNN-Solver, which leverages the generalized Anderson Acceleration method, parameterized by a tiny GNN, and learns iterative updates as a graph-dependent temporal process. To improve effectiveness on large-scale graph tasks, we further integrate sparsification and storage compression methods, specifically tailored for the IGNN-Solver, into its design. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the IGNN-Solver significantly accelerates inference on both small- and large-scale tasks, achieving a 1.5× to 8× speedup without sacrificing accuracy. This advantage becomes more pronounced as the graph scale grows, facilitating its large-scale deployment in real-world applications. Accurate and secure classifying informal documents related to mental disorders is challenging due to factors such as informal language, noisy data, cultural differences, personal information and mixed emotions. Conventional deep learning models often struggle to capture patterns in informal text, as they miss long-range dependencies, explain words and phrases literally, and have difficulty processing non-standard inputs like emojis. To address these limitations, we expand data dimensionality, transforming and fusing textual data and signs from a 1D to a 2D space. This enables the use of pre-trained 2D CNN models, such as AlexNet, Restnet-50, and VGG-16 removing the need to design and train new models from scratch. We apply this approach to a dataset of social media posts to classify informal documents as either related to suicide or non-suicide content. Our results demonstrate high classification accuracy, exceeding 99%. In addition, our 2D visual data representation conceals individual private information and helps explainability. © 2025 The Authors
