A person's skin serves as a primary line of protection against harmful chemical exposure. During the Covid 19 out-break, customer-provider interactions on social media increased, leading to improvements of the intelligent system for accurate skin type analysis. However, optimizing image quality before further analysis is an important step for training and testing data. As a result, image enhancement technologies contribute to the improvement of image quality. In this paper, we presets a study of four image enhancement techniques for improving the image contrast and detail of facial skin images required for further skincare analysis and treatment. The techniques of image enhancement include Histogram Equalization (HE), Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE), Brightness Preserving Dynamic Fuzzy Histogram Equalization (BPDFHE), and Min-Max Contrast Stretching. The experimental results demonstrate that the CLAHE technique delivers the highest quality of clarity and also facilitates further image processing. © 2022 IEEE.

Propagation of social media influence considers transmitting as the sole means for spreading information and places an emphasis on employing just a small amount of seed sets to maximise the possible effect in the realm of social networks. This mode of communication (termed paratext) allows users, for instance, to publish a message. This research makes an effort to overcome the aforementioned issues by creating a social media exchange of data model that is compatible with the paranormal connection and integrates Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI). Local Greedy is a proposed technique of data transport that helps protect users' anonymity. Its weight acts as a moderator between the two opposing goals of safeguarding privacy and information sharing. An incremental mechanism for generating seed sets with little overhead is described, and a local impact subgraph technique for calculating nodes is proposed so that the impact of seed set transmission may be quickly analysed. They are a private group that meets all the criteria. An alternative to the demanding Monte Carlo approach with XAI is explained, and it is used to the crawled Sina Weibo dataset to find the maximum limit on the possibility of node leaking state. Experimental and case-study analyses verify the effectiveness of the suggested method. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Synergistic passivation of MAPbI_(3) perovskite solar cells by compositional engineering using acetamidinium bromide additives

For the global commercialization of highly efficient and stable perovskite solar cells(PSCs),it is necessary to effectively suppress the formation of various defects acting as nonradiative recombination sources in perovskite light-harvesting *** defects between the charge-selective layer and the perovskite are easily formed in the solution process used to fabricate perovskite *** addition,owing to the difference in thermal expansion coefficients between the substrate and the perovskite film,internal residual tensile stress inevitably occurs,resulting in increased nonradiative ***,a simple compositional engineering scheme for realizing efficient and stable PSCs,which incorporates acetamidinium bromide(AABr)as an additive into the MAPbI_(3) lattice,is *** an additive,AABr has been found to provide synergistic multiple passivation for both internal and interfacial *** was found to effectively release the tensile strain of the MAPbI_(3) film by forming a structure stabilized by NH-I hydrogen bonds,as evidenced by calculations based on density functional theory(DFT).Furthermore,the incorporated AABr additives created a charge carrier recombination barrier to enhance charge collection capability by reducing interfacial ***,a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 20.18%was achieved using a planar device employing AABr-incorporated MAPbI_(3).This was substantially higher than the 18.32% PCE of a pristine MAPbI_(3)-based ***,unencapsulated PSCs using AABr-incorporated MAPbI_(3) absorbers exhibited excellent long-term stability,maintaining>95% of initial PCE up to 1200 hours in ambient air.

In confined mesoscopic spaces,the unraveling of a catalytic mechanism with complex mass transfer and adsorption processes such as reactant enrichment is a great *** this study,a hollow nanoarchitecture of MnOx-encapsulated Pt nanoparticles was designed as a nanoreactor to investigate the reactant enrichment in a mesoscopic hollow *** employing advanced characterization techniques,we found that the reactant-enrichment behavior is derived from directional diffusion of the reactant driven through the local concentration gradient and this increased the amount of *** experimental results with density functional theory calculations,the superior cinnamyl alcohol（COL）selectivity originates from the selective adsorption of cinnamaldehyde（CAL） and the rapid formation and desorption of COL in the *** superb performance of 95% CAL conversion and 95% COL selectivity is obtained at only 0.5 MPa H2and 40 *** findings showcase that a rationally designed nanoreactor co uld boost catalytic performance in chemoselective hydrogenation,which can be of great aid and potential in various application scenarios.

The nanofluids are decomposition of nano-sized metallic particles with base materials maintaining peak thermal properties. Owing to enhanced thermal features, various applications of nanofluids are observed in enhancing energy resources and cooling processes. The objective of current work is exploring the thermal impact of nanofluid associated to the oblique stagnation point flow. The thermal interpretation of nanofluid is subject to active and passive control approach. The heat trnasfer analysis is identified by using convective thermal flow constraints. The Buongiorno nanofluid model is adopted, endorsing the Brownian and thermophoresis consequences. The flow problem is first simplfied intodimensionless form. The numerical computations are performed by using famous shooting scheme with justifiable accuracy. A comparative change in the thermal phenomenon given the passive and active frameworks is presented. It is exmained that heat transfer reduces for stretching ratio parameter. The concentration profile reduces for angle of incidence for both active and passive control approach. © 2024 The Author(s)

The Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) staging system plays a crucial role in clinical planning, offering valuable insights for effectively managing hepatocellular carcinoma. Accurate prediction of BCLC stages can significantly ease the workload on radiologists. However, few datasets are explicitly designed for discerning BCLC stages. Despite the common practice of appending BCLC labels to clinical data within datasets, the inherent imbalance in BCLC distribution is further amplified by the diverse purposes for which datasets are curated. In this study, we aim to develop a BCLC staging system using the advanced Swin Transformer model. Additionally, we explore the integration of two datasets, each originally intended for separate objectives, highlighting the critical challenge of preserving class distribution in practical study designs. This exploration is pivotal for ensuring the applicability of our developed staging system in the designed clinical settings. Our resulting BCLC staging system demonstrates an accuracy of 55.81% (±7.8%), contributing to advancing medical image-based research for predicting BCLC stages. © 2024 IEEE.

SEOpinion: Summarization and Exploration Opinion of E-Commerce Websites

E-Commerce (EC) websites provide a large amount of useful information that exceed human cognitive processing ability. In order to help customers in comparing alternatives when buying a product, previous studies designed opinion summarization systems based on customer reviews. They ignored templates’ information provided by manufacturers, although these descriptive information have much product aspects/characteristics. Therefore, this paper proposes a methodology coined as SEOpinion (Summarization and Exploration of Opinions) which provides a summary for the product aspects and spots opinion(s) regarding them, using a combination of templates’ information with the customer reviews in two main phases. First, the Hierarchical Aspect Extraction (HAE) phase creates a hierarchy of product aspects from the template. Subsequently, the Hierarchical Aspect-based Opinion Summarization (HAOS) phase enriches this hierarchy with customers’ opinions;to be shown to other potential buyers. To test the feasibility of using Deep Learning-based BERT techniques with our approach, we have created a corpus by gathering information from the top five EC websites for laptops. The experimental results show that Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) achieves better results (77.4% and 82.6% in terms of F1-measure for the first and second phase) than the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and the Support Vector Machine (SVM) technique. Healthcare data is often fragmented across various institutions due to its highly sensitive and private nature. In this sense, hospitals and clinics maintain electronic health records (EHRs) independently; hence, valuable data is siloed within individual organizations, preventing comprehensive analysis that could benefit from diverse data sources. Federated learning (FL) addresses these challenges by enabling the training of a shared global model using data distributed across multiple institutions without moving the data from its source. By leveraging FL, healthcare institutions can combine their data assets to improve predictive analytics, personalized medicine, and overall healthcare outcomes, ultimately benefiting patients and the healthcare system. However, the current FL model with a central server presents several challenges within healthcare, including the risk of malicious attacks, regulatory compliance, and privacy vulnerabilities. To overcome these issues, this paper introduces the FL framework with blockchain and homomorphic encryption (HE). Our framework aims to minimize the role of the central server, enable collaborative model training across healthcare organizations, and enhance data security and privacy. In this sense, blockchain ensures the integrity and transparency of the process, while homomorphic encryption ensures that the data remains private. This framework can potentially enable institutions to enrich medical knowledge while securely keeping patient data collaboratively and facilitating healthcare analytics in practical settings.

Deep learning has revolutionized medical imaging, offering advanced methods for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. The BCLC staging system is crucial for staging Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC), a high-mortality cancer. An automated BCLC staging system could significantly enhance diagnosis and treatment planning efficiency. However, we found that BCLC staging, which is directly related to the size and number of liver tumors, aligns well with the principles of the Multiple Instance Learning (MIL) framework. To effectively achieve this, we proposed a new preprocessing technique called Masked Cropping and Padding(MCP), which addresses the variability in liver volumes and ensures consistent input sizes. This technique preserves the structural integrity of the liver, facilitating more effective learning. Furthermore, we introduced Re ViT, a novel hybrid model that integrates the local feature extraction capabilities of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) with the global context modeling of Vision Transformers (ViTs). Re ViT leverages the strengths of both architectures within the MIL framework, enabling a robust and accurate approach for BCLC staging. We will further explore the trade-off between performance and interpretability by employing TopK Pooling strategies, as our model focuses on the most informative instances within each bag. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper aims to provide a methodology for ascertaining the most suitable employee appraisal in ambiguous circumstances by employing fuzzy linear programming. In order to find the optimum solution, the suggested methodology transforms many criteria, such as job performance, communication skills, flexibility, and leadership abilities, into a fuzzy linear programming problem. The approach is made to deal with the ambiguity and imprecision that come with employee appraisal, making it a more effective and dependable tool for making decisions. The proposed technique is tested using a case study, which shows how well it handles ambiguity and offers the best options for employee evaluation. The findings demonstrate that the fuzzy linear programming approach offers more accurate and trustworthy evaluations, particularly in ambiguous circumstances, and might be a useful tool for businesses looking to improve their staff rating procedure. © 2024, The Authors.
