Connected Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) Driving, as a data-driven intelligent driving technology within the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), presents significant challenges to the efficiency and security of real-time data management. The combination of Web3.0 and edge content caching holds promise in providing low-latency data access for CAVs’ real-time applications. Web3.0 enables the reliable pre-migration of frequently requested content from content providers to edge nodes. However, identifying optimal edge node peers for joint content caching and replacement remains challenging due to the dynamic nature of traffic flow in IoV. Addressing these challenges, this article introduces GAMA-Cache, an innovative edge content caching methodology leveraging Graph Attention Networks (GAT) and Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL). GAMA-Cache conceptualizes the cooperative edge content caching issue as a constrained Markov decision process. It employs a MARL technique predicated on cooperation effectiveness to discern optimal caching decisions, with GAT augmenting information extracted from adjacent nodes. A distinct collaborator selection mechanism is also developed to streamline communication between agents, filtering out those with minimal correlations in the vector input to the policy network. Experimental results demonstrate that, in terms of service latency and delivery failure, the GAMA-Cache outperforms other state-of-the-art MARL solutions for edge content caching in IoV.

作者： MOTHERWAY, D.L. HELLER, S.R. D. L. Motherway received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island in June 1961. He was subsequently employed at General Dynamics/Electric Boat Division Groton Connecticut where he held positions in their Planning Department as a planning engineer for FBM Submarine Construction and in the Mechanical Division as a design engineer. Motherway went to the Naval Ship Engineering Center Washington D. C. in March of 1966 with the Submarine Hydraulics Section of the Hull Design Branch where he participated in the design of submarine hydraulic systems. He later transferred to the Ocean Engineering Section of the Deck Systems Branch where he participated in design related to deep submergence vehicles and ocean salvage and retrieval systems. During this period at NavSEC he received his Master Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Catholic University of America Washington D. C. From April 1970 to May 1971 he was with the Undersea Long-Range Missile System (ULMS) Submarine Design Development Office in the capacity of Assistant Subsystem Design Director. Currently he is the Senior Project Engineer for the ULMS program at the office of the Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair Groton Connecticut. He is a member of ASNE and ASE. S. R. Heller Jr. a retired Engineering Duty Officer of the United States Navy received his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and in Mathematics. The comparative heaving characteristics of two unusual ship configurations, a spar‐type ship similar to FLIP and a catamaran which employs a submerged cradle suspended by sophisticated motion attenuation devices, for recovery of small submersibles are presented. The two ships are described and their heaving characteristics are determined analytically using classical vibration theory. © 1971 American Society of Naval Engineers

His last naval assignment was as Executive Director Shipyard Management Directorate Naval Ship Systems Command. He is now Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Catholic University of America Washington D.C. Dr. Heller is a member of ASNE SNAME Sigma Xi and Tau Beta Pi.

After two decades, data processing has finally, and probably forever, found its niche among civil engineering and construction (CEC) professionnals, through word processors, digitizing tables, management software, and increasingly via drawing software and computer-aided design (CAD), recently, robots have even started invading work sites. What are the main trends of CAD and robotics in the field of architecture and civil enginee ring? What type of R&D effort do university and industrial laboratories undertake to devise the professional software that will be on the market in the next three to five years? These are the issues which will be addressed during this symposium. To this effect, we have planned concurrently an equipment and software show, as well as a twofold conference. Robotic is just starting in the field of civil engineering and construction. A pioneer, the Civil engineering Departement of Carnegie-Mellon University, in the United States, organized the first two international symposia, in 1984 and 1985 in Pittsburgh. This is the third meeting on the subject (this year, however, we have also included CAD). It constitutes the first large international symposium where CAD experts, specialists in architecture and CEC robotics will meet. From this standpoint, it should be an ideal forum for exchanging views and expe riences on a wide range of topics, and we hope it will give rise to novel applications and new syntheses. This symposium is intented for scientists, teachers, students and also for manufacturers and all CEC professionals.

VoI-based Situation-Aware Routing Protocol for Non-linear Underwater Communication Networks

One of the main challenges for underwater applications, such as environmental monitoring and disaster management, is achieving efficient data transmission in environments where conditions change rapidly, and resources need for data transport are scarce. The capability of evaluating the Value of information (VoI) enables us to assess these problems by proposing a Value of Information-based Situation-Aware Non-Linear Routing (VoI SANLR/VoI SANL) method. It aims to deal with critical event scenarios using BDI (Belief-Desire-Intention) logic criteria and prioritizing the timely uploading of data-driven information towards the destination. SANLR of VoI is developed to reduce energy consumption, end-to-end latency, jitter, and improve Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) in underwater communication networks. VoI SANLR introduces principles of priority-based methods and intends to address challenges in terms of underwater environment such as varying channel conditions, lack energy resources, and real-time decision requirements by using SANLR. Energy optimization analysis reveals consistent outperformance, achieving a remarkable 95% reduction in energy consumption compared to other techniques. Low latency is maintained, ranging from 2.5 to 0.5 seconds, showcasing enhanced efficiency and scalability. VoI SANLR demonstrates exceptional performance in both throughput and jitter. It achieves the highest data transfer rates, ranging from 100 kbps to 110 kbps, indicating outstanding efficiency. Additionally, the jitter remains consistently low, between 1.8 ms and 2 ms, ensuring minimal delay variability and improved communication stability. PDR consistently surpasses other techniques, reaching a maximum of 99%. Additionally, network lifetime analysis demonstrates VoI SANLR's superiority, exhibiting the highest network lifetime at each node and a significant 31.25% improvement at Node 100 compared to other methods.
