Cooperative differential games guidance laws for multiple attackers against an active defense target

This paper is concerned with a scenario of multiple attackers trying to intercept a target with active *** types of agents are considered in the guidance:The multiple attackers,the target and the defender,where the attackers aim to pursuit the target from different directions and evade from the defender *** guidance engagement is formulated in the framework of a zero-sum two-person differential game between the two opposing teams,such that the measurements on the maneuver of the target or estimations on the defending strategy of the defender can be *** of the attackers resides in two aspects:redundant interception under the threat of the defender and the relative intercept geometry with the *** miss distances,the relative intercept angle errors and the costs of the agents are combined into a single performance index of the *** formulation enables a unitary approach to the design of guidance laws for the *** minimize the control efforts and miss distances for the attackers,an optimization method is proposed to find the best anticipated miss distances to the defender under the constraint that the defender is endowed with a capture *** simulations with two cases are conducted to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed cooperative guidance law.

Graph neural networks are a promising deep learning method that can apply graph structures to various tasks. In real-world scenarios, we often have heterogeneous graphs, wherein different node and edge types capture complex interactions between nodes. High-dimensional node features provide rich information about the target nodes. Conventional heterogeneous graph neural networks (HGNN) focus more on graph structures than node features and may have difficulties extracting knowledge from complex node features. In this study, we propose a novel framework, the tree-boosted heterogeneous graph neural network abbreviated as TreeXGNN, which could efficiently and automatically extract target node features via gradient-boosted decision trees (GBDT). It integrates community structure information with proper fusion modules and a shared feature space design on HGNN. We achieved state-of-the-art performance on the three well-known heterogeneous graph benchmark datasets, IMDB, DBLP, and ACM, and significantly improved performance compared to previous studies. Our work paves the foundation for integrating tree-based models to boost HGNNs for general community analysis. © 2023 IEEE.

Social networks collect enormous amounts of user personal and behavioral data, which could threaten users' privacy if published or shared directly. Privacy-preserving graph publishing (PPGP) can make user data available while protecting private information. For this purpose, in PPGP, anonymization methods like perturbation and generalization are commonly used. However, traditional anonymization methods are challenging in balancing high-level privacy and utility, ineffective at defending against both various link and hybrid inference attacks, as well as vulnerable to graph neural network (GNN)-based attacks. To solve those problems, we present a novel privacy-disentangled approach that disentangles private and non-private information for a better privacy-utility trade-off. Moreover, we propose a unified graph deep learning framework for PPGP, denoted privacy-disentangled variational information bottleneck (PDVIB). Using low-dimensional perturbations, the model generates an anonymized graph to defend against various inference attacks, including GNN-based attacks. Particularly, the model fits various privacy settings by employing adjustable perturbations at the node level. With three real-world datasets, PDVIB is demonstrated to generate robust anonymous graphs that defend against various privacy inference attacks while maintaining the utility of non-private information. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

— Millimeter-wave Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) with multi-beam design holds significant promise for vehicular networks, offering multi-target omnidirectional sensing and high-capacity communication services concurrently. Nonetheless, the considerable challenge of potential mutual interference arises due to the high mobility and density of transmitters in such networks. To address this challenge effectively, we propose leveraging inter-vehicle communication to schedule communication and sensing signals for vehicles, thereby enhancing networked sensing capabilities. We first introduce an analytical framework to characterize the mutual interference among multiple vehicles. Subsequently, we evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed interference mitigation method in terms of interference probability, duration, and the achievable detectable density. Additionally, recognizing the different performance requirements of communication and sensing functions, we investigate a joint resource allocation problem catering to both aspects. Simulation results demonstrate a notable enhancement in the proposed ISAC-based interference mitigation, with a 58% reduction in interference probability compared to benchmarking schemes. © 2002-2012 IEEE.

In recent years, privacy and security concerns have led to the wide adoption of encrypted protocols, making encrypted traffic a major portion of overall communications online. The transition into more secure protocols poses significant challenges for internet service providers to utilize traditional traffic classification techniques in order to guarantee the Quality of Service (QoS), Quality of Experience (QoE), and cyber-security of their customers. In this work, we introduce two methods, namely STFT-TC and DWT-TC, leveraging compact time-series representation coupled with well-known techniques from the field of Digital Signal Processing (DSP): the short-time Fourier transform (STFT) and the discrete wavelet transform (DWT). The STFT-TC method extracts a suite of statistical and spectral features from the magnitude spectrogram, offering a fresh perspective on interpreting and classifying encrypted traffic. The DWT-TC method extracts statistical features from the wavelet coefficients and incorporates unique characteristics that describe the signal's shape and energy distribution. Evaluating our methods on two public QUIC datasets demonstrated improvements in accuracy of up to 5.7%. Similarly, the F1-scores also showed enhancements, with increments of up to 5.9% for the same datasets.

Encrypted network traffic Classification tackles the problem from different approaches and with different goals. One of the common approaches is using Machine learning or Deep Learning-based solutions on a fixed number of classes, leading to misclassification when an unknown class is given as input. One of the solutions for handling unknown classes is to retrain the model, however, retraining models every time they become obsolete is both resource and time-consuming. Therefore, there is a growing need to allow classification models to detect and adapt to new classes dynamically, without retraining, but instead able to detect new classes using few shots learning [1]. In this paper, we introduce Adaptive Classification By Retrieval CBR, a novel approach for encrypted network traffic classification. Our new approach is based on an ANN-based method, which allows us to effectively identify new and existing classes without retraining the model. The novel approach is simple, yet effective and achieved similar results to RF with up to 5% difference (usually less than that) in the classification tasks while having a slight decrease in the case of new samples (from new classes) without retraining. To summarize, the new method is a real-time classification, which can classify new classes without retraining. With the development of aircraft towards multi-electricity and all-electricity, the application of electromechanical actuators has received more and more extensive attention. Compared with the traditional electro-hydraulic actuator, the transmission components of the electromechanical actuator have mechanical lockout, gradually increasing transmission clearance and other failure modes, which directly affect the safety of the whole aircraft. Therefore, the accurate status identification method of electromechanical actuator transmission components is a key technology to ensure the safety of multi-electric aircraft maneuvering. Since the actual electromechanical actuators are usually not installed with vibration sensors, it is difficult to obtain signals to characterize the wear and jamming status of transmission components. In this thesis, with the help of digital twin, a virtual dynamics model for ball screw-nut pair is established, which is the core component of the electromechanical actuator, and the vibration mode of the ball screw is captured by mapping the collected command information and load information of the electromechanical actuator into the multi-field operation conditions of the digital twin model, so as to realize the health status assessment of the ball screw. © 2022 IET Conference Proceedings. The Zr-2.5Nb alloy with a fine microstructure consisting ofαlaths was successfully prepared by electron beam melting(EBM).The thermal oxidation behaviors and kinetics of the as-built,and the EBM-built and hot isostatically pressed(HIPed)Zr-2.5Nb materials in a temperature range of 450-600°C were in-vestigated and compared with those of the alloy prepared by conventional casting and *** was found that the oxidation kinetics of the as-built and the forged materials followed the parabolic rate law during isothermal oxidation at 550°C,but the HIPed materials exhibited a parabolic-to-linear kinetic transition,suggesting that the larger grain sizes enhanced the *** oxide layers of all materials were composed of a large fraction of monoclinic zirconia phase(m-ZrO_(2))and a small fraction of tetrago-nal zirconia phase(t-ZrO_(2)),and transformed from t-ZrO_(2)to m-ZrO_(2)with increasing oxidation *** surface hardness of the as-built,the forged and the HIPed materials increased from 215,204,and 188 HV before oxidation to 902,1070,and 1137 HV after oxidation,*** cross-sections of the materi-als showed the presence of micropores and microcracks inside the oxide layers with thicknesses ranging from 4 to 8μ*** the oxidation temperature of 600°C and oxidation time duration of 3 h,a dense black m-ZrO_(2)oxide layer with smooth surface and 902 HV hardness was obtained on the EBM as-built Zr-2.5Nb materials.
