Recently, patch-deformation methods have exhibited significant effectiveness in multi-view stereo owing to the deformable and expandable patches in reconstructing textureless areas. However, such methods primarily emphasize broadening the receptive field in textureless areas, while neglecting deformation instability caused by easily overlooked edge-skipping, potentially leading to matching distortions. To address this, we propose SED-MVS, which adopts panoptic segmentation and multi-trajectory diffusion strategy for segmentation-driven and edge-aligned patch deformation. Specifically, to prevent unanticipated edge-skipping, we first employ SAM2 for panoptic segmentation as depth-edge guidance to guide patch deformation, followed by multi-trajectory diffusion strategy to ensure patches are comprehensively aligned with depth edges. Moreover, to avoid potential inaccuracy of random initialization, we combine both sparse points from LoFTR and monocular depth map from DepthAnything V2 to restore reliable and realistic depth map for initialization and supervised guidance. Finally, we integrate segmentation image with monocular depth map to exploit inter-instance occlusion relationship, then further regard them as occlusion map to implement two distinct edge constraint, thereby facilitating occlusion-aware patch deformation. Extensive results on ETH3D, Tanks & Temples, BlendedMVS and Strecha datasets validate the state-of-the-art performance and robust generalization capability of our proposed method. Eco-toxicity investigation of polymer materials was considered extremely necessary for their potential menace,which was widely use as mulching materials in *** this study,polyethylene(PE),polystyrene(PS)and synthetic biomaterials-Ecoflex and cellulose were applying into soil cultivated with two potential indicator plants species:oat(A v ena sati v a)and red radish(Raphanus sativum).Variety of chemical,biochemical parameters and enzyme activity in soil were proved as effective approach to evaluate polymers phytotoxicity in plant-soil *** F-value of biomass,pH,heavy metal and electoral conductivity of Raphanus behaved significant different from *** analysis results indicated biodegradation was fast in PE than PS,besides,heavy metals were dramatically decrease in the end implied the plant absorption may help decrease heavy metal *** increase value at T2 of Dehydrogenase activity(0.84 higher than average value for Avena&0.91 higher for Raphanus),Metabolic Index(3.12 higher than average value for Avena&3.81 higher for Raphanus)means during soil enzyme activity was promoted by biodegradation for its heterotrophic organisms’energy transportation was *** analysis was carried on Biplot PC1(24.2%of the total variance),PC2(23.2%of the total variance),versus PC3(22.8%of the total variance),which indicated phosphatase activity and metabolic index was significant correlated,and high correlation of ammonium and protease ***,the effects were more evident in Raphanus treatments than in Avena,suggesting the higher sensitivity of Raphanus to polymers treatment,which indicate biodegradation of polymers in Raphanus treatment has produced intermediate phytotoxic compounds.

The calculation of the meridional overturning streamfunction in the southern Indian Ocean is biased by the Indonesian ***,this study applies the vertical overturning streamfunction to diagnose the shallow overturning circulation in the Indian *** the Ocean General Circulation Model for the Earth simulator output,improvements with the vertical overturning streamfunction compared with the meridional overturning streamfunction are *** results show that the vertical overturning streamfunction smoothly connects the shallow overturning circulations of the northern Indian Ocean and the southern Indian Ocean with the whole cycle of the subtropical cell and the cross-equatorial *** vertical overturning streamfunction shows a much cleaner shallow overturning circulation,which is underestimated by the meridional overturning *** shows that the shallow overturning circulation has a magnitude of~13 Sv(1 Sv≡106 m 3 s−1),of which the subtropical cell accounts for~8 *** addition,the vertical overturning streamfunction captures a clockwise overturning cell in the upper 600 m layer between 30°S and 34°*** cell has a magnitude of about−5 Sv and probably corresponds to the wind-forced subtropical ***,the vertical overturning streamfunction provides a new approach for estimating the shallow overturning circulation in the Indian Ocean.

To overcome antimalarial drug resistance, carbohydrate derivatives as selective PfHT1 inhibitor have been suggested in recent experimental work with orthosteric and allosteric dual binding pockets. Inspired by this promising therapeutic strategy, herein, molecular dynamics simulations are performed to investigate the molecular determinants of co-administration on orthosteric and allosteric inhibitors targeting PfHT1. Our binding free energy analysis capture the essential trend of inhibitor binding affinity to protein from published experimental IC50 data in three sets of distinct characteristics. In particular, we rank the contribution of key residues as binding sites which categorized into three groups based on linker length, size of tail group, and sugar moiety of inhibitors. The pivotal roles of these key residues are further validated by mutant analysis where mutated to nonpolar alanine leading to reduced affinities to different degrees. The exception was fructose derivative, which exhibited a significant enhanced affinity to mutation on orthosteric sites due to strong changed binding poses. This study may provide useful information for optimized design of precision medicine to circumvent drug-resistant Plasmodium parasites with high efficacy. © 2025, CC BY-SA.

Pedestrians are one of the most important elements in traffic scenes. In autopilot system, pedestrians need to be accurately detected. We found the latest research that 3D light detection and ranging (LIDAR) sensors can provide more accurate pedestrian location information. In this paper, the AdaBoost algorithm is used to improve the accuracy of the support vector machine (SVM) and high-accuracy pedestrian detection based on real-time 3D point cloud data. The first step is to process 3D points to 2D grid, followed by using k-means clustering algorithm to extract candidate points of the pedestrian. Next, nine features are chosen to train the SVM, the AdaBoost iterative process is used to reduce the further error rate to meet the classification requirements. This method has achieved significant progress in our experiment, the average classification accuracy has been improved to 92.4% per scan. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In the framework of Einstein-scalar-Gauss-Bonnet (EsGB) gravity, we systematically study gravitational waves (GWs), first produced by remote compact astrophysical sources and then propagating through the flat homogeneous and isotropic Universe at cosmic distances before arriving at detectors. Assuming that the speed cT of the spin-2 graviton is the same as that of photons, we find explicitly the stability conditions of the theory and then obtain the severest observational constraint found so far. In particular, all these conditions and constraints are satisfied, provided that 0 ≤ αḟ(φ0) . 8.97 × 10−24 (km), where αf(φ) denotes the coupling strength between the scalar field φ and the Gauss-Bonnet term, an over-dot represents the derivative with respect to the cosmic time, and φ0 is the present value of φ. The trajectories for both spin-2 and spin-0 gravitons and the amplitudes of GWs along the trajectories are explicitly obtained. The amplitude of a spin-2 GW is practically indistinguishable from that of GR, while the spin-0 GWs remain almost constant during radiation- and matter-dominated epochs, and in the dark energy-dominated epoch it is proportional to the physical distance between the source and the observer. A careful analysis shows that the latter is due to the assumption cT = 1. When cT 6= 1 to the extent that is consistent with the stability conditions and observational constraints, the above behavior disappears. © 2025, CC BY.

Diffusion models have made significant contributions to computer vision, sparking a growing interest in the community recently regarding the application of them to graph generation. Existing discrete graph diffusion models exhibit heightened computational complexity and diminished training efficiency. A preferable and natural way is to directly diffuse the graph within the latent space. However, due to the non-Euclidean structure of graphs is not isotropic in the latent space, the existing latent diffusion models effectively make it difficult to capture and preserve the topological information of graphs. To address the above challenges, we propose a novel geometrically latent diffusion framework HypDiff. Specifically, we first establish a geometrically latent space with interpretability measures based on hyperbolic geometry, to define anisotropic latent diffusion processes for graphs. Then, we propose a geometrically latent diffusion process that is constrained by both radial and angular geometric properties, thereby ensuring the preservation of the original topological properties in the generative graphs. Extensive experimental results demonstrate the superior effectiveness of HypDiff for graph generation with various topologies.

Diffusion Magnetic Resonance Imaging (dMRI) plays a crucial role in the noninvasive investigation of tissue microstructural properties and structural connectivity in the in vivo human brain. However, to effectively capture the intricate characteristics of water diffusion at various directions and scales, it is important to employ comprehensive q-space sampling. Unfortunately, this requirement leads to long scan times, limiting the clinical applicability of dMRI. To address this challenge, we propose SSOR, a Simultaneous q-Space sampling Optimization and Reconstruction framework. We jointly optimize a subset of q-space samples using a continuous representation of spherical harmonic functions and a reconstruction network. Additionally, we integrate the unique properties of diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (dMRI) in both the q-space and image domains by applying l1-norm and total-variation *** experiments conducted on HCP data demonstrate that SSOR has promising strengths both quantitatively and qualitatively and exhibits robustness to noise.
